  • music transcends

  • Amazing!! I met Archie 10 years ago on my first trip to Jura and danced with him at the Ceilidh! He played in the pub, but was drowned out with all the other instruments, now I realise just how truly talented he is.

  • Awesome stuff, though one might wish for better sound quality. Thanks for posting.

  • great tone!

  • Fantastic player! I idolise his playing so much! A good West Coast style with a lot of drive! I've had the pleasure, on many occassion to play in sessions with him...and even play his fiddle! And what a great fiddle it is too!

  • his brothers name is alex, not alan and yes he is also a very versitile musician, very musical family, three generations of fiddlers, accordianists and bag pipe players, alex's daughter kerry plays pipes in kintyre schools pipeband

  • In a noisy pub it is not always easy to hear people's names!!!!!

  • Had the pleasure of hearing Archie play live in Earley's Pub, Sligo when he was visiting Ireland last summer. His brother Alan is a fine accordionist also. Great to have such talent in one family.

    Terry.

  • holy crap! that's some fiddling!!

  • INCREDIBLE playing of Marquis of Huntly's Farewell and the Contradiction! Best strathspey style I've seen in ages!

  • Amazing technique!
