  • It is extremely ignorant that politicians in my country are ending our manned space program. The gop candidates are laughing at the notion of colonizing space. fools. There is so much to be discovered out there, so much to be explored. endless possibilities. what if we find another civilization more advanced than ours? or a cure for aids or even cancer? putting our minds in a box like that is extremely ignorant.

  • Damn right.

    If you don't already know:

    toonamiaftermath com

24 hour stream of all your favorite toonami shows, and some extras thrown in.

    Totally Nostalgia worthy.

  • Reminds me of the Space Sphere from Portal. SPAAAAAACE! Space.

  • what show was at 1:52?

  • @foryourlove89 dragon, dragon, rock the dragon Dragonball Z!

  • haha, I heard a second of the Tenchi sound there at the end :)

  • I feel like tearing up lol

  • been looking for this for soooo long

  • toonami aftermath is the best steaming website

  • best quote in this vid, "Will you please come with me?" -where to? "outer space"

  • These bumps were, essentially the first AMVs

  • O man i have been looking for this promo for years, and i finally found it....THANK YOU SSSOOOOOOOOO much!!!!!

  • go to toonami aftermath d ot c om. it's BACK!!!

  • "WE ALL HAVE TO MAKE IT OUT TO SPACE"

  • This bump changed my life

  • Nostalgia hitting me like a ton of bricks right now :/

  • haha is it bad that I can still recite this word for word?

  • I LOVE THIS COMMERCIAL! Mostly because of how it means to me, but the music is relaxing to listen to.

It says so much in just a few minutes. About space, life in space, the pursuit of living in space, technological advances towards living in space, how life would be in space... at least how it might be since its mostly based on Gundam Wing viewpoints (and quotes). That makes it seem like a whole new world to live in, And thats how I felt toonami was to me. A new world to go to, but in space

  • Where is 1:48 from?

  • I dont understand tv nowadays they axed toonami and channels like cnx, when ever something good appealing to all generations comes along they either axed it or control it, then dumb it down (way down)

  • Cartoon network: From a channel too awesome to turn off till something that's not worth watching : (

  • @KingCommando32 Couldn't make me turn it off until Adult Swim came on. haha

  • @URB4NR3CON

Outlaw Star and Gundam Wing and Big O were the most common anime to be featured in promos that were too awesome to watch. I miss those days : ( Now Cartoon Network is crap. The 90s are dead on CN. Only a small number of shows are on still worth it.

  • @KingCommando32 I know, I can't stand it. I see all these kids born in the 2000's having to watch crap, and not realize that it is crap. I just smh at what all they missed out on.

  • OMG ive been looking for this one commercial for so long, so glad i finally found it, this takes me back so much

  • Over 90% of this vid is from Gundam Wing. For those of u keeping track at home, that's two 0s away from 9000. :D

  • This should be NASA's theme song

  • @Obinn77

    NO.

  • @Obinn77 Hell yeah! everyone would want to be a astronaut when they see this toonami bump

  • which track is this ?

  • Oh my god I had that Gundam model as a kid!

I have no idea where it went, but I remember having it!

    Nostalgia indeed...

  • @DoragonShinzui I still have my Gundam models!! granted they are very fragile, but I still have them. I take them out of the box every now and then to remind myself how awesome the 90's were.

  • @Blckspawn0 Yeah, I only have the shield somewhere. That's how I recognized it, because I went "Hey, I have that shield thing!" >.>

  • @Blckspawn0

Heck YEAH! I lost mine : ( From when G Gundam was aired I had Shining Gundam, Bolt Gundam, and Speigel Gundam (Shadow Gundam) And I lost them. : ( I was so mad. I saw Speigel Gundam at Target when I got it at the time and it was like the only one left hanging off the shelf.

  • This has to be the best bump toonami ever had

  • Ah... the music in the background. The US ending for IGPX, the first Toonami original anime. :)

  • I'm inspired to make my own animated sci-fi. THANK YOU TOONAMI!

  • the most pleasant place is the outerspace

  • If we all live well enough, we might be able to go into space too.

  • YES! I've seriously had this beat stuck in my head for YEARS. I could never remember which Toonami bump it wa from though!

  • motivation...

  • Outer Space...

  • Random words across screen : SPACE IS THE PLACE...

I miss toonami you think with all the support from younger AND older viewers it would be one of the last programs to be cut even if there network wasn't doing so well

  • For some reason nostalgia just hit me

  • It's mankind's dream to go out into space and discover what is out there. America was well on its way to accomplishing that dream, but because of the liberals and the government, it's all but a forgotten dream now. We'll get there eventually, but until then I'll keep asking myself the same question that Tom Hanks did at the end of Apollo 13.

"When will we be going back? And who will be among the first to go?"

I would have gone already! Thanks for posting this by the way! Good times! :)

  • @infinitlycool What do liberals have to do with it?

  • @perv2006 They hate the space program because of the huge amounts of money government put into it. They wanted to use the money for their welfare programs and give it to minorities. They could care less about mankind's dream to go into space. When the Columbus accidently blew up, the liberals went wild and started saying that it was "too dangerous!" and that it was "waste of time and money!" It's all bullshit. When you're dealing with something that involves heavy engineering, accidents happen.

  • @infinitlycool so basically what youre saying is going to space is more important than helping our fellow man? whoa dude, how about they fund a space program that sends all the 'worthless minorities' into space on the moon or something. would that please you?

  • @perv2006 I thwht he is saying is that the librals will use any exscuse to get what they want insted of using a lagitament reason.

  • 0:42 to 1:01 gives me goosebumps.

  • I remember that.

  • the Greatest Decade of all was when Toonami began and ended after an 11 year rain

  • what was that gundam shows name I forgot it and now i wish to relive all the good old shows

  • @wcxfgh gundam wing

  • @wcxfgh Gundam----Wing---The greatest my friend the greatest.

  • @wcxfgh Dude that's Gundam Wing. C'mon!

  • cosign with @ninjaspit.."one of the greatest eras in cartoons EVER"

  • Toonami was the greatest television program for a kid growing up back then. Unlike the garbage coming out now it showed kids how to be creative and dream.

  • Damn!!!!! My nostalgia is acting up again. :)

  • Remember everybody If any of you guys is looking for this song its called Strings by Joe Boyd Vigil.

  • we got two prince of tennis fans on here, which accounts for the two dislikes

  • @densonandra

One of the best comments I've ever read. God, that was funny!

  • hey !! TOONAMI FANS did you please come with me 01:30

  • whoever the fuk it was that put a dislike on this promo, ill be sending a homing missile to your living room!

  • Toonami makes the best AMVs ever

  • Does anyone know the name of this song, I've been trying to find it for ages

  • @AzureMirage its called Strings, in was on the toonami soundtrack back int he 90s

  • if it wasn't for naruto and ben 10 we would still have toonami

  • "I wonder how long i'll be able to see the moon like this" I ask myself that same question when I see a big moon on my way to work. It never leaves you once it's touched you. And neither does Toonami.

  • What is the anime at 0:43 with the guy breathing. Its Gundam right? What one? I remember the dude doing something messed up like killing a thousands of people.

  • @TheDragonknee71 I believe that's Quatre right after he goes insane and blows up one of the colonies.

  • @Twiductress Thanks a bunch!That was some crazy shit!

  • @TheDragonknee71 Gundam Wing, yep. And yeah - it's after his father and sister die and he goes insane and destroys a (mostly evacuated) colony.

  • @washichiisai Thanks I just ran across this video and remember that was wicked.I never seen all of Gundam Wing. But its top of my list now!

  • I love this about toonami, it always made me feel as tho i was born to early in life. like i should have been born in the future :) , but if that happened i would have never seen toonami and i cant imagine my childhood without it or who i would be now....

Toonami: teaching us more about real life morals than your parents or any school ever could have since 1997, R.I.P

  • @noatacun Well said man! U pretty much summed it up!

  • @noatacun But if you were born in the future you'd miss out on toonami. PARADOX!

  • @noatacun Yeeeeaaaaaahhh!!!!

  • @noatacun couldn't have said it better myself, I hope my children don't suck as bad as today's kids lol I'm going to show them all of this ten years from now and if they don't like it... well it's off to the adoption agency.

  • @noatacun d amn straight. . .Oh How I miss toonami :(

  • oh man I used to love this promo, in fact I still do!!!!!

  • what is the name of the song

  • Outerspace is so quiet

  • "With high expectations, human beings leave Earth to begin a new life in space colonies."

  • I like at the end "talented people are capable of understanding this" :D

  • OMG!!! Been lookin 4 this 4 months, man! Jesus, this was such a great promo!!! Great anime has been replaced by fucking.......Spongebob and Chowder?

Jesus, I miss the old days

  • that part where quatre (or however its spelled) breaths deep and begins to start crying always got me, even when i was 11...

really weird, old toonami dieing is like a piece of my childhood dieing

(btw tenchi muyo was about to come on, lmao, even after all these years i remember that sound vividly)

  • who made the background music?

  • @RUSSxT im not sure but search for "toonami beats strings" and the song will pop up..im still trying to find a download for it =(

  • @smibbie don't mean to sound like a spam bot, but if you have a youtube link with what you want, try media converter.

  • Good lord many memories just came flooding back. This is 1999 correct? I was about 13 at the time. Turning 24 this year and as my parents would say "It just seemed like yesterday"... R.I.P Toonami

  • Wut gundam wing episode is .42????

  • @WoodBlock707 The Gundam they called Zero

  • This video made me wonder what it must have been like for Yuri Gagarin as he sailed around the planet, knowing he was the only human out there.

  • This video gives me the chills it's so awesome and nostalgic

  • Good memories

  • Ah yes... my memories yo

  • Wut episode of gundam wing at .44 ?

  • Back when Toonami was awesome!

  • Oh god i feel old, I was mouthing every word while they were saying it...

How do i remember this lol!

  • An extreme attack of nostalgia. Still, I remember when Toonami was hosted by Moltar as a spin-off from Spaceghost: Coast to Coast.

  • Whoever edited these promos together deserves a fucking raise!

  • yea i agree especialy the toonami quotes that tom says. it really makes u miss the past watching card captors or gundam wing but if u take the time to remeber all the good shows on toonami and can pretty much agree that your childhood was really great at that time i may be 16 but the past is something that i miss very much and i do not think toonami is a bad example for kids becuase toonami gives out a greater meaning to us all. dont forget the past and stay gold.... bang

  • ahh good times... seein this overwhelms me with nostalgia

i used to steal the tv from my sister and cousins to watch cartoon network (toonami)

now of days i do my best to avoid the channel most of the time

    how sad...

  • ...its so quiet.....

  • Toonami had Gatchaman???

    Holy shit!

  • I respected Toonami because it made me feel ilke an adult because of the content they showed. They wouldnt dream of showing these shows today unless they wanted controversy.

  • one of the best segments to ever grace american broadcasting. We should be thankful of the minds behind toonami. They helped to shape us as human beings. Such an occurrence will likely never happen again, but ya know...I am comfortable cherishing(with the others in this era) the fact that I was active at such a great time for anime for the rest of my life. Thank you toonami. you still inspire me to this day.

  • the revolution will still be televised

  • You know, I remember watching these bumpers at the time and wondering to myself if there would be anything this good in the future after Toonami's inevitable demise. Safe to say, no, there is not. Toonami ruled the air waves and I've yet to see anything top it. Glad Adult Swim is still around too.

  • outer space...its so quiet

  • This was the shit i avoided after school activities for. You couldnt go wrong with toonami....please let there be a channel for toonami oneday.

  • Toonami was a pretty large scale operation!!

  • TOONAMI FAITHFUL UNITE!

  • WHAT THE SONG CALLED

  • Gastro9 and egnod... Same here guys. Toonami has never left me. I get goosebumps watching these good times...

I also love Toonami "Dreams" =)

  • @fallenunder So do I man. I mean, I can't believe that Toonami is nothing more than memories now. It's messages will always stick with us and we're a lucky generation to have been born at just the write time to watch it, Whenever I see this and the other Toonami bumpers, I get that feeling of nostalgia and I wish that I could go back to those days and relive them all over again. It;s just too bad that today's kids won't be able to experience Toonami and Cartoon Network in general like we did.

  • @Gastro9 hey man by now a couple of people that grew up on toonami might be starting to work in CN. So the spirit might be ressurected. Right now Nick's toon channels commercials are like half as good as a toonami one. And that's a complement, they're commercials have a similar spirit(nowhere near as good though)

  • @GadGades I hope it does get resurrected. Today's kids need it more than anything. Plus, I could really use a nostalgia trip.

  • This video is bad @ss

  • may toonami powerful vids live until the end

  • i remember this bump

  • aint no school like the old school

  • This one and the outlawstar promo were awesome

  • sentimental fagets its ust a show go find a nother show to dewll on

  • @andersen781 no u!

  • Watching this makes me remember what I had wanted to become, and realize how far I've fallen from my goals. Judging from an outer perspective, some people would say my life is fine, normal, and I should be grateful. And I am. But this proves for me how things have changed. Everything. You can't even compare the commercials of today to this.

  • I miss Toonami so much. It reminds me of a day of no troubles, no worries. When I would get home from school and watch Gundam Wing and the others and just enjoy being a kid...

  • one of the greatest eras in cartoons EVER

  • @ninjaspit dont you mean the greatest?

  • Wished CN would make a Best of Toonami 3-disc DVD set I would love that!!!

  • space is the fucking place =)

  • i remember hearing this at night and the breathing part and the music would freak me out lol good times i miss it.....why did it go off

  • Power Levels to Maximum!!

  • God the ambient music on Toonami was so fucking sick....

  • This was my favorite one. i can quote the whole thing lol

  • "Outer space... It's so quiet."

    -Zechs

  • damn you dont realize how good this was until it was gone

  • 0:43

    the breathing brings back nostalgia

  • Those where my best years when i was a kid. good times.

  • epic

  • oh the days, I was 15 in 2000, what memories of growing up w/ teen years and Toonami, then it went to shit and Im getting old haha

  • Truly epic for it's time and sorely missed...

    sigh...

  • Bring *older* Toonami back. I loved Toonami around 2002-2005... then it went to s*it.

  • bring toonami you mother fucker you

  • Bring Toonami back.

  • Hey Man Back Then Even MF Doom And Gulity Could've Spit Fire On this Boi

    U

  • This was the shit back in the day. The anime kicked ass and the beats were solid. It's nothing more than a bunch of crap now.

  • It doesn't even exist anymore, actually. They axed Toonami a while back.

  • R.I.P TOONAMI =(

    R.I.P GOOD CARTOONS

  • @alhex123 RIP GREAT CARTOONS!! =( I want the dvd's of the Gundam Wing series. Toonami was Epic

  • DBZ+Gundam Wing Wing = WIN

  • Back in the good old days...

  • i feel bad for todays kids, tv sucks now.

  • LOVE THIS FREAKING VID! Its soo nostalgic and reminds me of what we have all lost, and what was all and good and was decent with Toonami back when.

  • the name of this song is strings

  • "I wonder how long I'll be able to see the moon like this". There's something about that quote that sticks with you. It's kind of hard to explain, but it really touches your soul. Years ago, when this sort of thing was still on television, I asked myself that same question when I looked at the moon when the sun was setting. I'll never forget that day. I still can't believe it's been this long.

  • Man, i totally know what you mean. Just this week, I asked myself that same question while looking at the moon on my way to work. It never leaves you once its touched you, and neither does toonami.
