Not Chicago style. Needs way more tomato and cheese goes underneath, then meat, then tomato. There wasn't really any difference between those two pizzas apart from the dish you put it in.
This pizza looks excellent. I never was able to work the dough by myself, so I would always order pizza out, or make a french bread pizza with other fresh ingredients. You must be an excellent cook to be able to make your own pizza dough from scratch.
i am trying this right now. going to buy shit from the grocry store. so i hope this is good cause i have always wanted to learn to make pizza. thanks.
Great video! I am not the best cook but I watched this video and I really want to try this :D. Overall great video very well planed out! I can't wait to make this for my family! Thanks!
Hi In the beginning when you put flour, yeast, salt, olive oil and water together. How hot is the water when you say hot water? I heard water temperature is critical to yeast. Do you need thermometer to check the water temperature? Thank you.
It's really not that big a deal. It works better with hot water, It will probably still work with cold water. If you want an exact temperature I'd say 90-100F
I suggest using hot water from the tap. Stick your finger in the water. If it hurts let it sit a little while. If it feels comfortable to you, the yeast will probably like it too.
@PrinceLiamsKitchen dont be foolish. cold water halts the fungi's biological function which means bye-bye leavening and bye-bye light, fluffy crust. i'd go with some warm water. maybe like a water bottle left in the car during the summer.
Great video, but some Chicago enthusiasts might skewer you since you did did the deep dish as crust-sauce-cheese-topping, when in Chicago they usually go crust-topping-cheese-sauce. I'm a new york guy myself though, so I prefer my Pizza right side up. ^_^
Blood temp water works better.

Tip: don't use a lightweight bowl for the mixing, it will move around on you. Heavy glass or metal bowls work nice.

I made sour dough for ciabatta bread and changed my mind. PIZZA! so I want to cook it on a heated oiled cast iron skillet.
My boyfriend gets homemade sausage/pepperoni pizza and watch the Chiefs and Steelers football games.

Wrong! Chicago has cheese in the bottom first! All good until you put the sauce in the Chicago first.
