I've met Beckham, and others including Michael Owen and Alan Shearer. You fans don't see just how much they dedicate their lives to this sport. I don't think it will end his career his style of game is suited to the Italian possession and passing style of game. Speed was never his strong point. It is ashame to loose beckham but Mr Capello has said he plans to take him along to the world cup as a non playing squad member.

Best thing D Beck did for England's chances of winning the World Cup was to get injured. He shouldn't have been on the plane to South Africa in the first place, there are many better players now such as Lennon, SWP. nah I disagree, he may not have played full games in WC but vital to that England team. I seen recent England games and the difference he made when coming on with half an hour left, creating chances from nothing. He sees passes most others dont and I feel England will seriously miss this ability on the pitch.
