Haven't you ever read Bhagavad-gita? It says specifically that extremely bad actions will force one to go downward, especially where Sri Krishna says that He will arrange for a person to go through lower species because of their lower consciousness. But that is not so much punishment, as merely arranging the proper body to accommodate the consciousness.
What is a bad action according to a snake, a bear, or an ant? How does an ant become a germ? What immorality can an animal commit; some of them are almost entirely governed by instinct.
What is the sin of the boar that will take him lower?
Animals do not accumulate more bad karma, they are working out their karma. That is the purpose of their species. So they act as forced servants of nature by acting according to their instincts.
All the brightest scientists and philosophers may analyse or debate for decades, but they would only understand rebirth (reincarnation) at an academic level. To get proof of rebirth, they have to start by finding out their own past life. If you seriously want to find out about rebirth for yourself, one good method is through proper meditation. If and when you can meditate to the first Jhana stage, then you would be able to find out your own past life/lives.
However, you can only find out your own previous life but not someone else's. It is impossible to demonstrate to an audience, or even to one person. Through meditation, I found out about my previous life, but I cannot prove to you, or display it to you. Like the taste of food, you have to eat the food to know the flavor. Discussing recipes and cook-books will never help you experience the actual taste.
One good instruction text: "Basic Meditation" by Ajahan Brahm is available online. This text is sufficient if you conscientiously practise. Reading from too many authors would only clutter your mind with expectations, which defeats the purpose of meditation. Besides, how many meditation authors or teachers experienced the first Jhana?
I think several of your comments refer to coming back as a plant among others...
They did not grasp the word evolve. Many people only hear what they want to fit their paradigm which has been subconsciously designed. I would say to those the best way to believe something is not true is to do the research on it first.
I don't believe that our souls can be born into anything on this earth other than humans. I think the point of reincarnation is to come down here to learn to see life from as many angles as it takes before we come to understand the meaning of the words unconditional love.
We cannot learn anything as a plant or animal. They are either immobile or rely pretty much on basic raw instincts.
It may have life but I don't think that your soul is going to be reborn into that of a plant. What would be the point? You cannot do or learn anything?
they have kids..they have emotions..they cry in pain..etc
humans are just one of the animals god created..he is not the ultimate being..our ego should not blind us...we have no special rights.This planet belongs to every species.
To explain why there are so many humans now compared to decades ago:
Humans can be reborn into any of the countless world systems. Likewise beings from other planets can be reborn on our earth.
Billions of creatures have become extinct through wanton killing by humans, and these creatures get reborn on our earth as well. Deep in our oceans and under our top-soil are teeming creatures.
I can`t help but like the guy. Very friendly face. I try to cultivate the spiritual and break my bonds with the material, but I just do it because in the core of my being I long to cease to exist, to become the eternal Ooohhhmmmmmm, with no other awareness.
Where does transmigration ever refer to moving between animal types? Could someone cite a specific text?
