Dupla maravilhosa!!! Tive o prazer de assistir o show deles por duas vezes no via funchal aqui em sao paulo. Todas as musicas são lindas e marcantes. Um show simples e fantàstico ao mesmo tempo. São apenas cinco ou seis musicos, sem bailarinos ou pirotecnía( coisa de quem não tem conteúdo musical, o que não é o caso da dupla AIR SUPPLY).

I agree, there is alot of bands in that time spand that are still great to listen to. I find that the younger people like my sons and thier friends listening to my songs on my youtube. I like almost all kinds of music as long as it is'nt screaming at me. lol

Well, 29 years later, I have come to love the really great disco bands (Bee Gees, MC & The Sunshine Nabd, etc). I like the use of Orchestras and top notch bands they used. And the 1980's really had a huge number of romantic ballads. Air Suplly played all ballads. But in today's music, ballads have follen out of fashion. Except for Celine Dion, Beyonce, Gloria Estefan.
I can't believe they released an album in 1985 -- not even their debut album, after 7 albums -- which is self titled. Not only that, it's their SECOND self titled bloody fucking album. Great band, great lyrics, great messages. Horrible album titles, though.
I am not sure if there is a reggae version but I know for sure Sanchez the reggae artiste from Jamaica did a version of "here I am". Maybe that is where the confusion is so to speak

I think Air Supply is a great duo and very under-rated to be honest. I was a teenager in the '80s and regardless of which artist it was, it was often hard to distinguish between male/female due to the hairstyles and clothing styles being so similar. Take a look at some of the '80s "hair bands" and see if they aren't extremely feminine. Aerosmith and Bon Jovi are a couple great examples and I'm a huge fan of both bands. All the males were somewhat "feminine" in the '80s. JMO!!
