David Fincher is not the kind of director who is handed a bag of money a told: "Make whatever movie you want!". He's one of the only hardworking directors who still makes big budget movies worth watching.

Well, they did alright with Departed and No Country for Old Men I thought. A really intelligent movie is the Prestige, just an airtight plot with a ton of hints. But Fight Club, your'e right, so smart from the point of a commentary on socioty and consumerism.
