How is the summoning system in this game? This video looks pretty promising. I used to play Guild Wars and I like Beast Mastery because I get to choose "pet skills". I like controlling a pet that does most of the damage. I was reading Aion and looks like it's the Master that does most of the damage while the pet does maybe 25-30% dps output?

I've also played City of Villains and Mastermind is by far the best summoning class I've tried. Any feedback is appreciated.

The pet does around 40-60% dps for a Spiritmaster depending on what pet (fire, wind, water, earth) you use and what stigmas you have.

People who think leveling in Aion is too slow should probably go play WoW.

Aion is cake to me. Especially after playing Everquest and Final Fantasy XI, where you don't even get exp from quests--straight up grind to lvl cap.

I like Aion's progression personally. You have to work a little more to reach endgame--it feels like more of an accomplishment.

It should not spoon feed you exp.

Actually, though I love the game, Everquest nowadays does spoon feed you exp. The quests added to the game in the last few expansions basically give you 5-10% of a level for killing 10-15 bad guys. I did 65-80 in less than 3 days with a so so group as a monk.

thats actually not true, you can do fire temple instance and there are quest npc around the area and not online in the little town. So if you take the time to look a round a bit you shouldn't ramble stuff like this;).

Yeah sure you can take your time and look around for pointless quests that give 100/300k per or you can do the logical efficient way of grinding which is boring.

They are basically forcing you to either level uber slow (doing quests) or a bitfaster (grinding) either way, its too slow

Well pets have a command to hold argo more, earth has the 2nd best one for holding argo Fire being first. As long as your not nuking you wont pull argo off the pet, and since all our Damage is DOT its easy. Plus that pet was on DP mode so holding argo in DP is MUCH easier since they do so much damage.

That was because of the deal in '93 where there wanted to make a WH styled RTS, the deal failed. Then WC1 was released, although it was alot like WH, they branched off with alot of their own content, too. Alot more content than they copied. They got most of their idea from Everquest. But now, alot more people copy WoW rather than other MMO's.

I think every MMO is influenced by another one, though. Just because something is copying another game doesn't make it bad. WH is fun. ^_^

Every big MMO that's currently out had copied from another MMO in the past. WoW was not the first mmo out nor was it the exception from the copying trend.
