This treatment is not FDA approved. There are no steroid suspensions that are. One commonly used steroid is called Depo-Medrol. It is also not approved by the FDA for this use due to the large number of severe adverse events reported to the FDA's Med-Watch division. Your "consent" form may not include these facts. Depo Medrol steroids are "not recommended" by the drug maker either, Pharmacia/Upjohn-Pfizer because the risks out weigh the benefits. Consider yourself WARNED!
No, I just got one 3 hrs ago and it hurt like hell, for at least an hour, I could hardly walk. It was the medicine they put in my back that caused most of the pain. Mind u this is my 3rd epidural in 2 yrs and this was by far the worst.
i had a HORRIBLE experience with my epidural....took the dr. 3 times to get it in cuz the first time i jumped cuz how bout it hurt then the 2nd time it felt like she stabbed me at teh top of my back near my neck with a knife[[not exxagerating]] then the 3rd time she got it in felt like lightning shooting up my back like all over it....worst shit ever!

I had it done two days ago and I tell you it hurts more than a bee sting. But it was worth it cuz I had been in pain 24/7 and could hardly walk for almost a yr. They day after it was done, I felt NO PAIN what so ever sorry I didnt have it done sooner.

I've never had a bee sting before.. Though it is true IV's in your hand are some bad. They missed the vein and had to do it again when I had one. -_-

I had this but it's HURT I was screaming with pain and it's waz 100% worse then a bee sting! Is this normal?? I still get pain where I had this.
