    it has the z28 on the 2000's also. Well every 2000 ive seen has one, unless they are fakes or just bought one cause it didnt hav it in the first place.

  • The LS1 has a built rotating assembly, even if everything on top the motor is stock the rotating assembly has lighter components witch would make the car faster than stock...

  • The LT1 was a torque monster, I knew it would be close from a dig, but the LS1 has so much more top end power it wouldn't be close after they hit 2nd or 3rd. LS1 is a huge triumph over the LT1

  • companies such as ferrari have installed engines into different models of their vehicles that are only peaking around the same power of an ls1 however those engines permit higher levels of output and a more direct energy to be sent to the ground which is why i personally would just upgrade my trans, drive, rear, and diff as opposed to doing motor work that is losing most of its "power" gain

    like the day i picked it up 16 yrs ago, so i can't vouch for other LT1 powered t/a's

    camaro's but mine runs consistant 13.6-13.7 all day,and like i said i keep it running as if new(and it's auto)

  • @heavymetal6893 People say its made with cgi,so that they dont get into trouble with the law, if this video was made on a comp, it means it couldnt be a real race, if its not a real race then there is no street racing going on.. thus CGI.. its just something people do to try an not get into trouble for whats in the video.

  • It took me a lt4 hotcam, 1.6 rr, beehive valvesprings and a 2500 stall just to beat a slp ls1 by a little over a car. those ls1's are quick and you gotta mod the lt1 pretty good to beat it. Btw I get alot of arguments with this, but with every ls1 I have raced I always beat them to 60. Lt1's are slightly more torqy in my opinion. Now I have the hot cam and pull a decent amount on them especially at about 100 now my car takes the fuck off.

  • Good video! People love to smash LT1s but come on it's a 12+ year old motor. 13.7-14.5 for a 12 year old car is impressive. Granted LS1s are just a friggin beast lol, you gotta give the LT props when it's due..

  • plus they are cheap and easy to make fast, just heads and cam can get you good track numbers on an LT1

  • That is one of the best CGI computer graphics, it looks like real cars racing in the street. Very good job on the video. But next time, use more special colors and try not to make it look like Fast2Furious because that looks fake.

  • Some of them do. Usually us z28 owners swap it out for something more fuel efficient like the beloved 1.8 litre honda civic engine.

  • around 40 or so i think. Depends on how you drive and what trans you have.

  • I drove 180 miles to orlando and it got me 24 mpg and I drove 85 mph- 100mph

    (100 mph for 20 or 30 min) never going below 85 unless I had to pay a toll. In the city I get 12- 14 but I live in a city where their are red lights every 1/2 mile. 2.73 gears are for saving gas, I will get 3.73 gears soon though.

  • just because the shortblock is built doesn't mean it makes any more power than stock... stock heads, stock cam, stock intake, stock everything that has to do with power........ oh wait, a K&N filter..

  • @thunder355 true, but better bearings make it easier for the motor to turn, thus wasting less energy on friction. Every little thing counts. Also lighter components make it easier to turn also resulting in less energy wasted

  • First off, learn english or at least how to type. Second, if you had any automotive knowledge whatsoever, you'd know the LT1 is inferior. Hell it was a transition engine... lasted all of 4 years. It made less HP and got less gas mileage, is less tunable and less aftermarket.

  • @thunder355 Yeah the Ls1 starts out with more power stock for stock compared to the LT1 & has an advantage in every dept where it counts.... No debate there.... However Ive seen plenty of Lt1 camaros run LOW 11s high 10s with a great set of heads & right cam. Full bolton Lt1s still run bottom 12s easily with good tires & driver. So lets not bash the little 4 year " transition engine" to bad ok. lol..

  • i hate people that say ls1 are way better then lt1 i love both,but you got to think lt1 camaros =290 hp oround there and since they are cast iron blocks they are a little bit heavier ls1 camaros = 310 hp with lighter block do the math

  • hate to burst your bubble buddy, but the LS1 is superior to the LT1 in more ways than just the block material and HP ratings. The ECU/Tuning, aftermarket, power potential are all greater than the LT1. Mod for Mod, the LS1 will pull away from the LT1 powerwise. Thats why everything is getting swapped with LS1s now. It used to be LT1s and Gen 1 SBCs, but the LS1 is the hot stuff these days for a reason.
