i thought so too, but i heard in an interview (i cant remember which one) he said that music is about generating a certain memory everytime you hear a certain song, and he says that he would never put the music in an ad or associate it with anything like that, cuz it would ruin the song.... thats what thom says and hes right in a way, especially for music like radiohead's

I agree but they wouldn't let their music be used for commercialisation, thats just wrong, but I don't think they consider it the same for the film medium, they're artists and theyre ok with letting directors use their songs because they share the same creative appreciation as well, in fact I know so because theyre songs are heard on OST's from Fake Plastic Trees on Clueless to 15 Step on Twilight, they don't seem to care about people using their music anyway, watch their jonathan ross interview
