Hi HauntedQueenMary: The Swastika symbol was stolen by the Nazi, and became a negative symbol misunderstood by many. It is rather a positive symbol which you can find in many religions and cultures all over the world. Please do some Youtube or Google studies and you'll learn about it.

You were being nice in saying that you found it odd. Some people even found it offensive, because the Raelian symbol has the Swastika in the middle of the Star of David, the Jewish symbol (Part One).
