This is how it should look. Unfortunately, Capcom was ATTEMPTING to create a scary atmosphere, so they made it darker. If the game's intention was to be all action, this would've fit perfectly.

Also, when you say "replaces the original pallette," do you mean it replaces the "Normal" filter in the bonus options menu? If that's the case would it be possible to for this replace "Classic Horror," or one of the other ones like that? Just curious.

Cause since some Years the People only want simple Games, They want Games, biggest idiots with 2 Left hands can finish easialy. No Chalanges etc. Most ppl didn't playd good old Adventures (much only then RE i mean) - or the Original DOS and PSX-Title Resident Evil, nice Game with great Story and Horror atmospheric. Hope RE 6 will be better....

@donthehonk I agree. The game itself has absolutely no horror. The fact that there is an AI or Human with you makes it lose the horror aspect completely. Resident Evil 5 is still an amazing action game though.

@BioHazard874 Personally I think the co-op partner has nothing to do with it, it's that the director for this one didn't really even try for a horror game, just pure action. The Lost in Nightmares add-on showed that a game doesn't have to be single player to have scary & tense moments.

This makes more sense to me, Africa is known for bright vibrant colors, I get that the muted colors set the tone of the game. Mods are the one part of PC gaming that akes me envious.

this looks horrible the normal color has much better shadow effects and i dont would to much play around with this mods they could fuck your game and savegames. Capcom should just release a patch with this naturalmod for the filtermenu.

Looks worse to me. Africa's Sun is very scorching and drowns out a lot of color. Theres no sense of that anymore it looks too colorful and happy looking like Street Fighter IV now. looks fake now

I think the ps3 could handle it look at games like Metal gear solid 4 and killzone 2 just say. And the xbox360 could probably handle it to at least you would think since there company is Microsoft. All im trying to say is people think that PC games graphics are much better than consoles but to tell you truth most console owners don't give a shit about graphics as much. We just want a good game worth our money and if we can get both ok great than. Well thats my opinion ok .

The thing is though is that this game has excellent graphics. No mercy is ridiculous when it comes to the amount of enemies. It can really bog down a PC with a good CPU especially if you get to a point where you're looking at all the infected at once. I haven't had too many issues with No Mercy, but I have lagged a bit and my CPU and GPU are both very nice for mid/high range gaming.

Maybe the consoles can't handle No Mercy but you know what thats ok. sure no mecry badass but oh well I'm just glad I get to play a game like RE5 and have fun and I still got VS mode I mean its No Mercy mode but It's still fun to play with friends. First of all ATI only supports up to 8XMSAA which is about = to Nividias 16Q. So 2XMSAA isn't that low. Secondly your right. My rig can handle full anti aliasing but since I run the game in DirectX 10 which amplifies water effects DX10 seems to lag my PC a bit on full AA. Also Fraps records in very nice quality, but uses a lot of system resources so running at max AA with Fraps is also a bad idea.

Ah I see, my PC does nearly max out (except for memory usage) to record with fraps at 29.97fps on RE5 with all maxed settings +16Q AA, using 8800GTX.

ok the trick i do is to go on chapter 3-1 arrive at the island full off chikens and wait 4 or 5 minutes then put sheva on attack mode and she will scan for eggs and items in the current spaces altough a golden egg is rare you will hav to try several times then tell me the outcome

at max settings mine is like 10-15 haha. i put it to medium and no AA, with resolution toned down 1 knotch, i still get a C. but in all fairness, for some reason i still cud play it at max, its just alittle harder to aim.
