No, it didn't suck; however, when you watch Raimi's Evil Dead Trilogy, particularly number 2, you realise what a peerlessly good director, editor and visionary he was, and still is. My only quibble with this film is that the green-screen CGI effects destroy the credibility of the last scene, among others: I much prefer human-made, manipulated special effects - it certainly didn't hamper Raimi's earlier flicks. Sure, it's imperfect, but it's superior to the uprisiing of shit-brained remakes

I honestly did not really like it. I mean, it had a good storyline, but the acting just didn't seem good, and a lot of the elements in the movie was just not good. When she dropped the envelope in the car, the envelope she had was misleading. What other circular object would be in the envelope she gave to Ganush? That's like a cheap shot below the belt there... Too misleading. Now if it was just an empty envelope, okay, I'd be pretty satisfied about that whole thing.

Sam Raimi is an incredible man of Hollywood and Cinema, but I feel that he made this horror film far too cartoonish. I've seen it 3 times and feel that it moved too fast and didn't give the true grip of a real horror film.

This is one of those movies that is so successful at being scary that some people react by convincing themselves, "snerk, that movie was stoopid, like omigawd!". It had one flaw in the plot that kept distracting me. Extending the loan wasn't her call. If she had approved it, her boss would have disapproved it.

I already watched this movie about 10 times, and I loved it! but the only thing that I didn't like was the end of this movie, because alison lohman is such a beautiful woman and she should've stayed alive at the end...

@atoosas I didn't like the ending either. One of the worst dissappointments I've ever seen. Which is probably why this movie is so quickly forgotten. I watched it on Cinemax, and I am SO GLAD I didn't pay to see it!

This movie was hilarious. Especially the constant hair pulling moments and the nose bleed scene. It took me back to the Evil Dead days. I loved it.

This is one of those movies that is so successful at being scary that some people react by convincing themselves, "snerk, that movie was stoopid, like omigawd!". It had one flaw in the plot that kept distracting me. Extending the loan wasn't her call. If she had approved it, her boss would have disapproved it.

Lol this film made me jump, but also was very entertaining, though i didn't like the animation which is similar to the Evil Dead. Its like get some new ideas! (plus it looked really tacky) lol plus what a crap ending! But i loved the film still :)

i lvoe the extreme reactions to this movie- some people dont get it AT ALL (like tigerswede3 below) and then declare it "THE WORST FILM IVE EVER SEEEN" hahaha.... oh dear. i mean, i dont expect everyone to love it, but seriously... Raimi knows how to make movies (they wouldnt give him fivebillionsquillion dollars to do 3 spiderman films if he didnt..) and his movies are usually intended to be fun and not taken too seriously- any true horror fan whos seen more than Saw and Hostel will enjoy this

I just don't like the over-the-top stuff in his movies. The start was just fine, but the second half, not so much (to me, of course).
I like horror movies like Let the right one in.

Me too..Let The Right One In was my favourite film of the year- its a modern classic- elegiac, beautiful, haunting, sad, sweet, dark, soulful, awesome...but i like horror comedy too lol

STUPIDEST movie I've ever seen. By far!!! I thought it was a spoof at first with the dumb 'creepy' music and the hand puppet shadows. I thought to myself, is this for real? Then the stuffed goat starts singing and I'm like, uhh... time to return this movie to the video store ASAP!
