@Bricktopher I know this is a bit of a late reply, but that is exactly how I felt at the end of Episode 2. I felt a huge feeling of sorrow and pity for Alyx after her father's death. I'm amazed at how a game can control emotions so easily. Valve definitely know how to make a good game.

In fact, Lost Coast is a little level ( about 15 minutes to complete it ). It was made to show the High Dynamic Range in action, and at that time the computer needed to run the game with HDR on was VERY expensive; people said that there was no use to put the HDR on the game because noone could run it^^. About the plot, the level was meant to be part of "Highway 17", but there is no real link with the storyline of HL². One funny thing: the robot that throws headcrabs on villages^^ ( Ravenholm ).
