  • The Man Show did this about 10 years ago.

  • Susan B Anthony is not pleased.

  • They should make buttons and pass em out to ppl who said yes hahaha

  • This was way too long. We got the point after the first minute.

  • hahaha, i went to school with them, i think i was an 8th grader at the time, maybe a freshmen, but i remember these chicks, lol.

  • i cant believe these are the people who i went to high school with!! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH my god!

  • 2 people who responded in the video actually knew what Women's suffrage is. (Or possibly 3, as maybe that little chubby boy knew and was trolling)

  • euhh

    what woman suffrage

HELLO you are in 2011 its not like in the 1900's where woman couldnt vote and where not treated right...

  • To be fair, go out on the streets of just about anywhere asking a question like this and you will eventually find a dozen or so clueless people like this. What the video doesn't tell you is whether they had to try a thousand people first or if this was how everyone answered. It's like how 9 out of 10 dentists prefer a toothpaste, they only have to find 9 'yes's and ignore all but one of the 'no's.

  • it's pretty dang funny but doesn't mean they're stupid at all. it sounds like "sufferage" and how often in your day to day life do you hear or use "suffrage?" it's easy to forget. So don't feel too much better about yourselves for seeing these people who make a mistake.

  • Too many girls are confused in this video. They're all thinking if they would like to end WOMEN'S SUFFERING, instead of sufferage.

Seems like only the girl yelling at 4:08 understands the question.

  • ....Oh my gosh...you CAN'T be that stupid. *facepalm*

  • the girl at 0:08 .... from what? from what? from WHAT?! WHAT DID WE DO?! FROM WHAT??! dumb bithc...

  • 3:57 haha.... the guy in the background says ahh hell no..lol

  • This is the highschool I went to and in fact my sister is in the video. Also, the boys who made it edited out all of us girls who said No and actually knew what suffrage meant. But sadly it is true that in America our education system is lacking and this was made in Az and it's clearly obvious why our state is rated as having the worst education in the country and especially this school is lacking qualified teachers.

  • @leftybear53 What school is this? I went to school in Arizona and was trying to figure that out.

  • Would be a lot more impressive if you were interviewing WOMEN, not pubescent GIRLS.

    Weak video.

  • @GangreneVagina - Very true. However, these women appear to be high-school age. This is when political opinions begin to form. The fact that they do not understand the nature of the word 'suffrage' and assume it's about suffering is an illustration of the failure of our schools to truly educate. Since they make this assumption, it begs the question: will people vote against a positive thing, if it merely sounds negative in the way it's worded? His point still stands.

  • @Slipknotyk06

We all know that the word "suffrage" is very uncommon, hence the Man Show bit, etc. I don't think I ever heard this word at all in high school either.

  • @GangreneVagina - If you didn't, that illustrates the failure of the Education system. You should have taken an American History course, and if you studied the early part of the Feminist Movement, you (probably) heard the word. It may be uncommon today, but the word was used in the movement itself. I'm sure that if you even google it in today's terminology, e.g. "1920s Feminist Vote" you'd see in the picture section posters emblazoned with the word "suffrage" or even "suffragette".

  • @Slipknotyk06

No, the word being uncommon is not a reflection of a failure in our education system ("education" is not a proper noun. Do not capitalize it). But in keeping with your point, this video would be more shocking if this video were made in the 1800s, not 2011.

We all heard the word in school, albeit briefly, but word is barely in today's lexicon. So, my point remains.

  • @GangreneVagina Yes, I would be shocked by a video from the 1800s as well.

  • They wouldn't have to be subjected to this type of interrogation if they didn't leave the kitchens...

  • This is RIDICULOUSLY SAD.

  • 4:12 .... nuff said.

  • lol at the girls who were saying "NO SAY NO!"

lol at school we watched one of these kinds of vids and our tacher said "looks like sombody was using their cell phones in claaasss" XD

  • Comment removed

  • I DIDNT KNOW WHAT SUFFRAGE MEANT UNTILL NOW EITHER. ITS NOT MY FAULT I DIDNT LEARN IT?????????????? OR EVER HEAR OF IT

  • @antoby If you have passed High school, then you should have learned it in U.S. History in the 11th grade. I knew what suffrage meant in the 8th grade when I took U.S. History. This means it definitely is your fault. Either you were asleep in History class or you missed the days they taught Civil Rights.

  • people are soooo stupid

im doing a project on Women's suffrage and i looked at this video for a part of my project and wow this just amazes me how ignorant people especially women are.

  • all girls said yes only a guy said no

  • wow, that is pretty funny. although i understand that most people, or at least some, still don't know what the word suffrage means, but still, this is great

  • 4:10 based on the statements of all these girls i think this is so true lol

  • Put the question on official ballots.

    A majority would check "yes".

  • This shows what a victim complex there is.

  • people are fucking dumb.

  • These women suffrage videos are some of the funniest and saddest vids on youtube.

  • Aren't you supposed to tell them what it is lol? And were any cut out?

  • 1:06 lol

  • Dummys

  • 3:57 stupid boy.

  • there were some people who said no

  • This is why the modern feminist movement needs to pull their effort in promoting hate and spend it in educating our young women in their god given rights as a human being.

  • Haha , mY Daddy asked me this &I knew what it meant &i said I wouldn't sign the petition . I felt smart .. . (I'm 14 bytheway)

    Jacq

  • 0:56 - 1:17 = TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT

  • @ayoshutduff Yes, let us thank the 2015 Miss South Carolina...

  • @ayoshutduff She was trying to be a philosopher but didn't know how stupid she actually sounded.

  • @ayoshutduff Fucking priceless!

  • wow only one person wants to vote and she said no for the wrong reason

  • I fucking want to end women's SUFFRAGE!! WORLD WIDE!

  • i miss this highschool haha

  • The beginning....it....so....funny....lol

  • Okl i think that they misunderstood the guy. I think they thought that he meant like end women's "Suffering" and yes they do want to end women's suffering. I guess they don't know what women's suffrage is....

  • @Nikolaika77 No Crap dude. thats why its funny. They dont know what suffrage is and they should. that is the whole point of this! Wow you are as stupid as the chicks in the video. Let me guess....your a chick?

  • @TonyGehrig no actually am a guy........idk why you want to waste your time arguing with people on youtube.....

  • May I suggest that the ladies at 0.08, 0.56 and 4.12 be confined to a specialised stud farm for the breeding of political comedians?

  • Ha ha. 0:34

    That guy starts smiling "Sure..."

  • seriously? the blond is sooo stupid!

  • its so pathatic how these 15+ of age dont know the word suffrage means their damn right to vote .. pretty sad and these college students as well so sad .. such dumb asses

  • 0:57 is obviously abused at home.

  • @jerrylovesu1 lmao she gave the most retarded response in the whole video

  • Did you meet just one girl who knew what Women's Suffrage is?

  • You have to have some students who say no and know what it is for this to be beliveable

  • idiots.

  • i don't like this video, because the girls actually ASK "what is it?" and the guy doesn't define it, he just pressures them to say yes or no. this is just a vocab test. except for at 3:28. she was kinda excited about it

  • It is so freaking sad how uneducated women are I think school kids should all take a course in History or something about dif groups within the US, Women, African-Americans, Hispanis/Latinos, Asian-Americans, Native Americans, LGBT (hahaha sadly not for some more decades b/c of crazy biggots) the point is that Americans should know about the movements towards equality under the law in these groups for them to know their rights weren't given freely they were fought for.

  • @pokabu85 So you are saying a class on Civil Equality. Might be a good idea, but it would never fly. There are too many shity requirements forced on the eduction system that only limit the creativity and choice of individuals.

  • @BjornVardr and with schools wasting thousands of dollars every day its no wonder they have the drop classes that would be wanted and should be needed, also this is evidence by some conspiracy theorist that the goverment is trying to keep the majority of the population stupid so they can get away with more sutff, which is seeming plausible with how stupid this country is getting, soon the human races is gona be 2 groups, idiots, and genuises, no "normal" people.......

  • @pokabu85 It isn't only women who are uneducated, it is just that the video mostly shows women answering. I bet the boys at the same school were just as clueless. And I don't know where you went to high school, but the public schools in California teach both history and political science beginning in elementary grades.

  • @knettle17 I learned what Suffrage mean in the 8th grade...

    (Male college student)

  • @knettle17 My problem with you comment is this, Yes the boys are just as likely to not know women's sufferage is But girls (women) are the ones that directly benifited from that movement. It's just sad that there are ppl who don't know this stuff and even sadder when the ones that benefited directly don't know either.

  • @pokabu85

tis a course that already exist sort off . us history and gov.

put what you learn in both courses and you learn when these people came how were they treated and how long til they got the same rights. history tells the events gov explains which laws came to for the orotection of certainpoeple

  • @pokabu85 These aren't women. They are children. And many of these girls openly admit they don't know what the fuck suffrage is. So OBVIOUSLY they shouldn't be voting on it. None of these kids are even old enough to vote. Would I like to end pre-pubescent sexist boys Youtube videos? Yes.

  • @fancyfeetmoves The problem w your statement is that many of them (girls and yes boys as you said) will leave school still not really knowing it. Women (mothers, grandmas etc), it would be nice if they would pass this on to their daughters so they know that they women before them fought for the rights they have. I'm a guy and when I have children adoption lol, b/c im a gay heehee) I will def make sure they know about that movement and others.

  • i am so doing this for my next video project

  • Haha 0:57 what a weirdo

  • only one word FAIL

  • LMAO at the girl talking about suffering making you stronger what a dumbass

  • Bitch who gave you the right to vote?

  • @1:00 to like you know like suffer it would be like suffer to make us stronger like as PERSONS like

  • The second girl is a retard.

  • This stopped being funny when that girl asked what women's suffrage was, and he replied with "just say yes or no."

  • 0:56 ...lolwut?

  • With all Seriousness, I made this video three years ago because i thought it was comical. Though it may say something about how thorough the History section of Arizona's education system, at the time I cared more about how similar and confusing the word are to someone who was completely blind to what was happening. And to be fair, I received plenty of "You are an idiot, the Suffrage movement was an important part of our history." I simply did not include them in my video which is mis-titled.

  • @BjornVardr what was the rough percentage of yes to no?

  • @BjornVardr I think that it might have to do with the fact that it prolly isn't in the best interest of some groups of ppl for women to know about women's rights in the past and their struggle, seeing as women make up more than 50% of the US population etc. If my theory is wrong, it's still sad to know that Women/girls don't even know about how they came to have equalr rights to that of Men.

  • @BjornVardr, thanks for being honest.

  • @BjornVardr you used the idea from another video, lame

  • Also, if they are confused about which word the guy was referring too, they could have at least gotten suffrage from the context. I mean what is "women's suffering;" just sounds like they want sympathy. (Sorry, didn't mean to rant.)

  • @Peter7Paul Fair points, but I don't think the person who made this video is trying to claim that they're stupid, at least in the proper use of that term. Rather, I think it is trying to show the ineffectiveness of the education system and/or the number of people who don't pay attention in class. I know during high school I was taught about women's suffrage in the 1910s/20s. So, I think there are points/proof that can be taken from this.

  • It's amusing to think of the percentage of equally ill informed people in these comments, who had to look up what suffrage meant, in order to mock the people in this video who happened to not have encountered a word which has been disused since about 1930 in America, and probably isn't even in their history books (and not in any political science book they read, because that course isn't compulsory). We live in a post literate society, nobody making derogatory comments here is any smarter.

  • @VariedInterest Very well said.

  • Our government schools at work.

  • So what if someone gets confused about the word suffrage? It's basically just playing semantics. Suffrage is a very precise and technical word. Just because someone associates it with another word, that mind you sounds nearly the same (suffering), doesn't mean they are dumb or uninformed. And this doesn't mean women are uninformed either, because I'm sure just as many, or more, men wouldn't know what the word means either. Funny video, but it proves nothing. The kid at 3:55 is priceless!

  • i know lol he totally didnt know what it meant haha

  • lul stupid bitches

  • ........ Suffer/ Sufferage, jeez they should still know what it means though, ANYWAYS least those chicks aint voting, cuzz theyre to dumb

  • the power with the arrow pointing down was the best!

  • I find it interesting. I can tell what type of person these girls are by how they respond. How they speak, how they stand, the tone of their voice...

The hot ones are stuck up, I'll tell you that much, lol.

    Yay stereotypes...

  • the blonde at 1:10 just made my whole year

  • i don't even know what to say about that

  • i didnt mean like she was hot ... im saying , shes dumb as hell lol

  • @KhaosRep Although she did not know what suffrage meant, something one can easily look up and learn immediately, her response shows how she is capable to putting more thought into an answer than most of the girls here (although this video is a horrible source to go by b/c of the bias).

To me, this puts here above everyone else in the video.

  • He says at the beginning of the video most people don't know what women's suffrage is. He only proved his point. Don't try and discredit him. He proved that obviously people don't know the definition of the word.He started with a hypothesis. Did an experiment to prove it, and he got his results. So back off.

  • Women are less intelligent than biscuits.

  • The girl in the "What" shirt sounded RETARDED

  • it was not the interviewer simply being immature as eswan90 claims but instead the intelligence of the interviewers to conduct their poll effectively.

  • Wow this is really embarrassing for these girls. and to all the people who try to discredit those conducting the survey: obviously you are not intelligent enough to understand the process of conducting a poll. If they had told the girls what suffrage meant then it would defeat the purpose of the whole poll.

  • I think the survey was a good idea but there is no way to know if he edited out anyone that replied 'no' to serve his own bias

  • If they knew what it was, they would not want it to end.

You see what disinformation does to you? You cannot make a fucking choice without proper, complete information.

  • They made the choice to sign it WITHOUT information. Shows the stupidity of these girls. They diddnt have disinformation, they had no information. They only made a choice to try not look stupid.

  • Yes, except women in college and high school should KNOW what women's suffrage is.

  • The point was to show that they did not know what it is.

The fact of the matter is this actually shows why our founders were correct when they did not think everyone should vote, though it shouldn't be based on the sex of the person. They should have an information packet that you must study then be tested on before you are allowed to vote. Understand the issues, not Rollingstone's/MTV's Liberal talking points, before you vote.

  • Comment removed

  • This video is ridiculous. Most people probably think he's saying "suffering." Some of them ask what he means and they just say "answer yes or no." Rubbish

  • this is gay, so they dont know what it means, so what? why dont u ask it using a word they all know

wow u guys are so clever

    man fuck your video

  • the girl @ the start lol

    "I LOVE BISCUITS"

  • women dont need to vote anyway just stay home and make my sandwiches@

  • dumb blonde

  • Come on girls... make sure you know what you are saying! Don't let boys intimidate you like that :P

I did notice that a few girls were not as dumb as they were meant to be portrayed. They asked for the meaning of the word, which was intelligent, but were not given the answer. So, if the interviewer wanted to act with maturity, they would have kindly given the answer.

As a supporter of women's education, I just hope the girls learned from this. :D

  • omg they're so stupid.....

    ....omgomgomg......

  • so most highschool freshmen dont know the word..... thats not surprising in the least. a bunch of them even asked what it meant and you wouldn't tell them. how silly!

  • Did ANYONE say no? Did you selectively edit this?

    I seriously hope so.

  • 0:59 lolwut

  • atleast she has some big tits ;)

  • her shirt says it all

  • XD tony you faget!!!! XDDDDD

  • fucking retards

  • omfg, the girl at 0:59. what a turtlephuck

  • lol what a idiot lol... she just went off on one :p

  • yes she is

  • women should be aloud to vote but this joke is hilarius.

  • haha thats my highschool!!

  • this people are idiots

  • 3:10 they all have to look at each other. haha but really women shud not be allowed to vote, it's a joke.

  • That got a good laugh out of me, very funny. xD

  • I'm in love with 'WHAT'

  • You know, I remember when this was shot. This is funny as hell! Just goes to show how great small town school systems are.

  • it loses its funny when you refuse to give a girl a definition when she asks for it. the whole point is that they just assume it means "suffering" but if they ask what it means you have to tell them the truth otherwise it kills the joke. nice try though

  • The point is that they should know what it means already. This is, or should be, basic knowledge.

  • ok ok ok wanna know something funny i was actually approached by these guys and i know like most of the girls in this vid..... and yah this is why i was home schooled XD the joys of growing up in a small town :) and i didn't fall for it... tho a few of my friends did hehe

  • Okay, not a bad video, but i I think the pauda one was better. I mean this is a high school, american people are like iraq is in australia, a triangla has 4 sides, etc, this isnt a big deal taking those into account. But it is shocking in a womens school of excellence.

  • i agree the pauda one is better, but when we made this. it was solely for entertainment. we had fun and it's still funny. that's all i wanted.

  • I agree it was fun, especially since some of the girls were hot.

  • wait to copy the guys that did this to the padua chicks

  • omg

    1:00

    a true blond loll

  • Haha! The ultimate paris hilton! That was gold!!!

  • lmao 4:15 Would you like to end womens suffrage?

" yes definetly, its a bad idea"

  • man, got a bit borin after like 1 min. Kinda weird thou cose it didn't really flow as a film. but u got a few gems in there

  • 4:06-4:10 someone caught on lol

  • OMG blonde at 1:10 is an idiot

  • The chic from 4:12 hit the nail on the head: womans suffrage is a bad idea.

  • not all of em seem that young

  • But what is not so surprising is that full grown adults also answer in a similar trend. People just don't understand the language.

  • Uhh, these are not 'young kids.' These are high-school level kids. The term 'suffrage' is definitely taught sometime in middle school... if not sooner.

  • the blonde girl (:56) is a fuckin idiot....

  • Dude thats the first thing that went into my mind about her

  • @greenskittles8 She's actually correct without knowing what she's saying about suffrage, she says it makes you stronger and you need it to get what you want.

  • you know they only showed the girls who didn't know what it meant..there were obviously girls that said no. like when they asked in that one room, there were girls in the background yelling say no. but that one girl was such an idiot. "yah, i think women should suffer, cuz it makes them better, yeah, im an idiot"

ps: i bet more guys don't know what suffrage is.

  • I have to admit, There were several women who answered no, but for the sake of entertainment i only showed the replies worthy of a laugh. I am not a sexist, I just thought this was clever.

  • Oh dear

  • 3:46 is some JB I'd like to enjoy.

  • Tell that dumb ugly blonde with the big tits to hug her rapist.

  • This experiment has been repeated many times and each time it is successful.

  • AHAHAHA !! CASE CLOSED!!!

  • and this, my friends, is why good education is important. lol. i bet if you asked guys this question, you'd get about the same response. but the best responses would definitely come from the girls (see the blond chick) hahaha

  • that blonde girl was ugly as fuck

  • she looks like a bird

  • Those women who agreed certainly don't deserve suffrage....

Hahaha that blonde "I think we should suffer... it makes us a stronger person."

  • It's time to end the suffraging of women. They have clearly suffraged enough.

  • "I think women should suffer more it makes us stronger", the only person who answered right was way more stupid than anyone else =P, seriosly hilarios

  • too funny.

  • lol..

  • what the hell!!! NO == gosh, did you only ask stupid girls? DOES your state teach women's history at all? this is pitiful.

  • my school didn't. only reason i know anything about it is because i read my history book when i was bored in class.(but then again i'm not female haha)

  • well, i'm glad you know some... i'm not sure why your school disregard women's history...

what does that say about this society, i wonder.. just pathetic
