@yash2001us: you should take a look at the evolution of religion. The first notions of religiosity began about 65.000 years ago, where nature itself was revered. Later it came to worshipping nature. Then nature was more personified, as every element, every creature, etc. was represented by a supernatural being. Next, we made these gods more like us, anthropomorphic gods, first in Egypt and the Middle East, later Greece and such. After that, gods became "above our knowledge".
@yash2001us: in a sense, the ancient people were indeed far more advanced in "spiritual science", and here's why:
- whatever happened, whatever they found, whatever they came to know, this was the truth. They were ignorant, but honest.
Nowadays, we know a whole lot about the universe and how things work, but religious people today, especially the very devout ones, DENY REALITY in order to keep their faith.
To me, it's okay to believe, as long as you adjust your beliefs to what we already know.

Well, I don't know any Dogon myths, but we all originate from Africa, so it's possible they have similar stories. Apart from first people arriving in America around 10.000 BC, Egyptians, Phoenicians, Vikings and the Chinese all visited the continent. (although I should check to confirm the Egyptians and Phoenicians)
There probably aren't that many Hopi Indians left nowadays...regardless, I thought the same thing about Christians, but man, was I wrong...So many creationists who believe far worse crap than what's in this video...
Wow.. you wonder where they got the idea of warring nations attacking each other's cities with huge flying shields, in a previous world... Made my spine tingle a little bit.
I meant the way the idea resembles the way we are heading today... I know its a bit silly but the thought of forgotten civilisations gives me goosebumps (the story of Babel has a similar effect on me!) I often daydream about whether these stories might be the collective subconscious memory of a cyclical pattern of human civilisation on earth.
well, I have about 20 more, including the Christian one, so it'll all become clear. the stories/myths told are based on real events. often things we need science for to just know about, like our origin out of Africa. in this story, the Hopi actually talk about that as the first world. it's amazing what you can find by analysing ancient stories. the myths itself might not be true, but the historical events behind it...amazing.
your work and research is a priceless treasure ....
indeed its beyond words ...
when u hv shed so much light on the mystery then i guess u could help out me with an answer...
i believe there is one lord ... his image differs according to the imagination of people but yet he is the same ....
he is the same with different name, different look .......
so these stories must have smething common n true ?
i believe people in ancient ages were more advanced in spiritual science !!!!

yes, it's indeed out of the ordinary...I'd think it represents an asteroid or something that destroyed some cities...UFO's would be rather tricky...
