This is metal, but it is not prog. Unless I am mistaken, the whole song is in common time. I heard no unusual chord progressions either. No dis, this band is great, but it is not prog.

I listened to Gethsemane for like the 300th time and thought how amazing these guys are. So I came to see how many views their videos had received. Very saddening to say the least. I expected them to have at least 500k+

This is such an amazing prog-band. I'm a singer in a alternative/prog-band, too and I met the singer in a pub recently I was so glad. A friend of mine is a student of the bassist. they are such nice people.

@howdyfeller that`s why you never, ever have to listen to mass media.They always push music that`s money related, not culture related. Today mass media is just a tool for small group of people that can influence so called media independence. I spit on them and on censored media. When I saw the number of views for these guys I was horrified.But they are fair and honest and don`t pump their views on tens of millions.Listen to them and respect them. Reflecting on youth you can have you realize that generations after yours may have a different world than yours might have been at their age, but one thing remains true of all generations; popularity dictates what is produced in mass.

And the younger you are in general, the more wasteful (and ignorant) you and your peers tend to be. Kids eat up radio-pop/rap or "xtreme" generic rock, like Big Mac's.

@Geshien well, popularity was a parameter which dictated what will be produced in mass maybe 30 yrs ago. today popularity is imposed by lobbies in a manner that you can have on TV, radio only certain type of music and art in general. the only place where you can fulfill your art expectations is the internet - yet.

@gulag1979 I wouldn't call it imposing. It's available. You can find anything you might want on the net and despite their being stations that air said music, there is still other constants available on the radio (classics, NPR, oldies, funk, e.c.t.).

If you're a parent and are concerned about certain impressions that are being left on your children, you should take an approach to what you want to expose your kid(s) to. There is a recommendation of ages for all forms of entertainment.
