That is great quality for a camera of its size. Too bad when you do optical zoom the shakiness becomes obvious

It shaky, because it's recorded in 1080p. I heard 720 with stabiliztion is better. But I make a test video tomorrow after I get mine.

I'm planning on getting this camera soon. I like the design [never been one for pocket camcorders...], the image looks GREAT [yay!], and really I won't have to worry about the camera wobbling all over the place because I plan on putting it on a tripod and just recording myself sitting on a chair.

Just bought the cm5 and it dosnt have all that wobble. I think his bloggie is fualty or something because my videos dont wobble at all. I just have to say that I love this camera and the video quality is higher and better than the zi8 and all the other pocket cameras!!

Too bad it's a pocketcam without optical or digital image stabilization. It's shaky when you zoom in and also i can hear a zooming sound when you zoom in and out. Other then that the quality of the video is pretty cool.

I feel ya on that one. That is some bad image stabilization, especially considering it's a Sony product. The Kodak Zi8 has most of my interest so far. Only reason I looked into the CM5 was the zoom, but that is one shaky picture.

Hello! What about stills? Does it take good pictures like a regular point&shoot? I have a Webbie CM1 and stills sucks like the worts camera! I went to the beach with a lot of sun and white sands and the pictures just get burn! No white balance, no nothing, does this camera take good pictures or are just as shitty as with the webbie? In regular conditions dont look that bad but with a lot of light doesnt adjust light. I want 2 change the webbie for this one but im not sure. Thanks! Good reviews!
