  • This is my favorite hymn. My church sings it well too, and it makes me feel warm inside, knowing that Jesus is and will always be with me.

  • They don't play this in New Orleans. It is the Canticle of Praise that really gets me excited to sing!

  • This was the hymn that was sung at our college graduation mass. This song always reminds me of that.

  • This brings back so many memories. We sang this version all the time at my church, LCMS but then for some reason, we decided to switch to a different tune setting which is nice, but not as nice as this one.

  • Not bad at all for a Catholic parish. I've never seen any denomination that can belt this hymn better than Lutherans though.

  • @speaks3703 It was written by Lutherans, afterall!...lol...We do this in my Catholic church as well. The congregation sings it pretty well, and they really like it!

  • This is not a lutheran church, it is Roman Catholic. The Vatican flag can be seen in the far right of the sanctuary.

  • @2992texley It also explains why there was only bread (the body) of Christ and no wine (the blood) of Christ.

  • that is one busy church! I wish our lutheran church were this popular!

  • Handbells, yes handbells!!

  • I memorized this song by the age of five. I sang it at my aunt's wedding at age eight. Now, age tweleve, I study the meaning of this song and sing it around the house.

I absolutley love this song! It reminds me that Jesus is Lord, and nothing, and I mean NOTHING can take that truth from my heart.

    God bless your soul.

  • Christ is risen! Happy Easter!

  • I can cry because I found this.

    I just...needed this song.

Thank you, thank you, thank you <3

  • I know there is a way to download these videos. It will take a while though because they are very large files. Thanks for the comments.

  • The organ registration and sound of the choir in this video reminds me of singing I once heard at an LCMS congregation. I say this being complimentary to you and the choir. One thing I might suggest is including some judicious hand bell ringing with the notes of the hymn. Does your parish have handbells?

  • @thesummerlover

The is the best version on Youtube and is the same as the one we sing at our LCMS church. God bless you for sharing. I'd like to include it on my Ipod. How do I download this?

  • @MegaYTFan i was wondering that...cause it's NOT in iTunes.

  • @TFrOcks25 look up "Richard Hillert" and you will find it as a choral work

  • @TFrOcks25 Search for "Richard Hillert"
