  • i love you, are you apart of the youtube partnership yet?

  • AHHHHH, I CAN'T STOP BUYING RECORDS!!!

  • I feel the same way you feel towards this album with Bon Iver's masterpiece

  • hey tony did you ever graded a 10?? or another 9?? i'm just curious not critical whatsoever

  • @watashiwanachodes

he made a video about 10's you should check it out

  • Why does this review have so many views?

  • @WhiteMamba2424 My guess is because this album is the number 1 on his 2011 favourite albums list/

  • Just for the record...

It's NOT a saxophone being used at the end of "The Shrine / An Argument".

    It's a Bass Clarinet!

    Get it right!

    Thank you.

  • @reckless2999 ...lol

  • What is a Fleet Foxes?

  • @CodysFavorites You sir, fail at trolling.

  • Pretty darn good album. In my top 5 for the year. Love Bedouin Dress and Lorelai especially. Only criticism of the whole thing is that I found the end of "The Shrine/An Argument" to be indulgent.

  • what he says at the end is true, listen to it from beginning to end.... its incredible

  • If I had an orchard I'd work till I'm sore

  • @paintballmon135 no you wouldnt.

  • @Kobe10032 ...........fuck

  • @paintballmon135 If I had an orchard I'd work till I'm raw

  • 6:08

    Good Cal Chuchesta impression Fantano.

  • I just saw this being referenced on the Wikipedia page for the album. How has Fantano got so huge so quickly!?!?!?!?!

  • @RutMuggler Just this one video

  • I liked the Fleet Foxes' first album, but I dunno, I just wasn't feeling this one much...I listened a few times, but all that really sticks is Lorelai and The Plains/Bitter Dancer. That saxophone at the end of The Shrine/An Argument sounded really forced and out of place to me. My favourite album of the last year is still Strange Mercy by St. Vincent.

  • Yea, it's pretty much the best album of 2011. The next Fleet Foxes will also pretty much be the best album of that year. and the next... and the next... and the next....

  • @LetsGetHighOnMorris ...and the next... and the next.... and the next.... and the next...

  • Has he ever given a 10?

  • @starofcctv94 I don't think he has. I think he made a video where he said he considered a 10 a perfect score and therefore it wasn't possible or something, I don't really remember.

  • deh fleet faxes

  • 5:29 - 5:51 How the hell did he accurately describe with such detail exactly what I picture when I listen to the Fleet Foxes??

  • i know you sometimes ask if people wanna suggest stuff for you to review, so could you please review Haken, either their first album Aquarius or Visions.

  • Review Boy&Bear's Moonfire next! It won the ARIA for best album, and they're kind of a half-way point between Mumford & Sons and Fleet Foxes. I really like them!

  • The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.... NICE!!!

  • You're voice is fucking awesome.

  • How does this have 814k views!? rofl

  • Album of 2011! GLORIOUS!

  • first time being on the same level with you. i so supremely agree entirely.

  • #1 Album of the Year, What an honor

  • AOTY

  • [Review]: The Internet- Purple Naked Ladies

  • lol just here to troll u again u stupid nigger

  • THE FLEET FAXES.....FLEET FAXES

  • lmfao Cal

  • love this album my favorite rock album of the year

  • @thegoldenhero rock?

  • @slartibartfast8787

there is alot of sub genres but isn't it all rock music?

  • @thegoldenhero ...noooo. I wouldn't call The Cascades or Blue Spotted Tail rock at all. And I wouldn't call Montezuma, Bedouin Dress and 80% of the rest of the album rock, despite potentially having rock elements, like a steady beat and guitars. What's your definition of purely non-rock music that isn't just classical or jazz or something?

  • @slartibartfast8787

ehhhh i guess stuff like hip hop,r&b, classical, and jazz...imo rock has the most subgenres like punk, heavy metal, alternative rock, indie rock, grunge, baroque pop etc so yea i do consider helplessness blues a rock album...out of curiosity what is wrong with calling it a rock album?

  • @slartibartfast8787

unless you preferred if i called this album the best folk album of the year...no matter what music it's classified as i still like it more than any rock album that came out this year.

  • Thank you Needle Drop! Because of you I played this album over and over again for like 20 times and then it clicked. I love it! I love the Fleet Foxes. They are now one of my favourite bands. I love the first album too, and Sun Giant EP. Not so much fan of 1st EP. But anywho, thanks again!

  • Hey, I love all music. Everything. (<-that was a period) Jazz, chant, rap, blues, rock, folk, antifolk, EVERYTHING. Usually stick to alt type stuff but, man, is this some good suff. Totally agree with you- every listen reveals something missed the first time around. Thanks for helping me discover these guys.

  • this album is amazing and makes a point that not all of todays music is garbage

  • Wow why the hate? This guy has introduced me to several cool bands and artists and his reviews are very good! If ur not a fan of the music/his videos, simply walk away from it. There is no point giving horrible comments just because the videos ate not to you tastes. Grow up people. Enjoy the music.

  • Okay dude, now lets talk about what matters. If you are that Renaissance Man you seem to be, lets get with it and solve this global crisis we are in. You are in the music industry, can you possibly give? To those that would dis this guy because he talks too much? You have a brain of a pea that cant do much more than tie your shoes.

  • It's not ok to call yourself a nerd.

  • Ive never heard anyone love to hear themselves talk more than this guy. Major annoyance scale. wrong feature youtube

  • @TheSpiqueen14 It's a REVIEW. He's SUPPOSED to talk.

  • @warheart850 i dunno if that's a good, responsible financial investment.

  • @GAYBLACKPEOPLE oh look at that, a nigga using words he doesnt know, pretending h can speak english lmao

  • Hehe

  • I'm really not interested in listening to the album you are reviewing, but judging by the way you are talking, you are the music equivalent to those douches that stand in art galleries rubbing their chin while trying to find something profound to say about the piece of masking tape on white paper that they are looking at. You should cut your wrists with a broken CD in your next video.

  • @IAmKr1gg3r I'm not really interested in what you have to say, but judging by the unnecessary negativity in your comment, I find you to be the internet equivalent of a teacher who would sit you down and describe in lurid detail all of the things that they found to be wrong with you, despite being an absolute prick with nothing constructive to say.

For your next comment, you should compose a lengthy suicide note, and then follow through to the letter.

  • @itzDestin yes

  • why is this douche's face on my igoogle page and youtube homepage?

  • @Loststory08 cuz this douche face is pretty coo.

  • @RacistCommentEver

    you're an idiot

  • i was into Fantano b4 he got featured

    ._.

  • You have motivated me to buy this album. Excellent review! I loved that you balanced perspectives (& linked to alternate reviews in the sidebar) and discarded the score on this one. Your review wasn't pretentious or imposing; instead, it was sincere and you passion radiated throughout. Good job and thank you!

  • Do you think that prior to youtube these types of people would just sit in front of the mirror and talk to themselves?

  • Hes cute!!!

  • break out the torrents!

  • Google featured today! Anthony you're blowing up, so happy for you

  • ahhh! marry me! <3

  • I like your head. no homo

  • this guy should be some type of an announcer with an epic voice like the one he has

  • You look like a dyke.

  • @ih8yewtoob how did you know?

  • Comment removed

  • What the f you can't even make eye contact with a camera?

  • @iH8MMS Does everyone keep eye contact with you the whole time when they are talking to you? Why do you expect him to stare at the camera the whole time? I think it seems more natural if he looks around some...

  • @HHSbass4

It's okay to glance away from the camera, but my issue is that hes not even facing the camera, so by default is natural position is not looking at the camera. How would you like it if when you were talking to someone they had their side facing you?

  • @iH8MMS He looks around a lot, but he still looks at the camera often enough to engage me. I just don't find it that much of a problem to complain about.

  • @iH8MMS i can't. i just don't all the time. doing that 100% of the time is a little creepy.

  • Douchebag

  • @10cwf Don't hate.

  • your soooo cute

  • @marleyhempgirl1

    It's "You're."

And he has a girlfriend. Check out the Valentine's Day video ;)

  • Very good review. If I may contrast your romantic opinion of the album, I would argue that lyrics in songs like Helplessness Blues seem to articulate dissatisfaction with aspects of the world and society as a whole. The album title alone seems to resonate with that frustration, and while I agree that Robin Pecknold writes from a highly idealistic perspective, I imagine the album as being more of a young man's mixed sentiments regarding his exposure to the world rather than pure romanticism.

  • @nbaronzzi So well put, Sheldon Sands will have to shoot you after he pays his check.

  • @nbaronzzi i love this well-written comment!

  • You really have a knack for music it's pretty awesome.

i'd find your videos easier to watch though if you made less ridiculous jokes. Like the Cal chuchesta jokes aren't funny. But the good outweighs the bad so imma keep watching them

  • @aflyinbanana The reason he's still doing Cal jokes is because fans literally freak out when he trys to veer away from it. i think they're hilarious lol. that's just me though.

  • Lol.

  • Your stupid.
