Is it me or is this recorded on what becomes Wisteria Lane in desperate housewives? I know that street (or one hose at least) was used in the munsters so it was around then
I gotta hand it to Scotty Beckett.He sure had his way with the women and he sure can sentimentalize in a song such as this one here.You can even see the look on Jane Powell's face when Scotty is sentimentalizing this song to her,.that she has a slight smile on her face.
I feel the exact same way as you do about Scotty Beckett,only,I do with Toni Tennille from the Captain And Tennille.Whenever she sings a sad and slow ballad and raises her vocals to a high pitch,that does it everytime for me.
This scene ranks among the most romantic of any in any movie, ever. It would melt the most unsentimental and hardest of spirits. Even me. A peach of a movie, as well.
I realize that there was a lot of inequality back in this era, but nevertheless, there was also a lot of great entertainment, like this movie and this song, and great entertainers like Jane Powell, Scotty Beckett, Wallace Beery and Selena Royal. I'm grateful that I can enjoy it today. Scotty Beckett, you haven't been forgotten.
