Yo T...wassgood man! Listen I've had my Mpk from prolly back when you first got yours and my play,stop or record buttons have NEVER worked. I've downloaded patch after patch and still nothing. within the last year my pitch bend wheel has also stopped working. Is there some sort of factory reset on here that would flash it back spec? Any help is appreciated chief! Thank you!

@RyMuEntertainment Im sure it is, I just don't know, never had to initialize it, and as far as the play stop not working, that's crappy man,,,,,what do you use? Reason? FL Studio? and if so, are you assigning the inboard presets that comes loaded on the device? Meanwhile, try this solution and let me know whats happening with your device afterwards...I will post in following post....

MPK49 Factory Reset

How to perform a factory reset of the Akai MPK49: 1. Press PRESET 2. Press [>] repeatedly until FACTORY appears. 3. Push Enter. 4. Wait 10 seconds for the presets to load.

Sometimes you may have to power the MPK49 off then on to make the settings stick.

@skillz139 reason 5 has a new drum computer called kong that has drums you can craft inside of it, it has live sampling, something called "blocks" that include a bunch of already laid down MIDI notes (for example you can have all of ur "chorus" inside of one of these blocks) and some other tiny improvements here and there. Also dr. rex can hold 8 loops instead of just one.

hey bro, i got a little question here: i got the alesis sr18 drum machine and "connected" it with reason already. but when i touch any pad on it nothing happens. do i have to set it up at the redrum or the kong at first? and if so, how?

@MusicInYaFace Are you trying to get the sounds from the Alesis itself? or are you trying to trigger sounds from the Reason? The SR18 is a stand alone device, it's more ideal for producing without the assistance of software, now if you wanted to use it as a trigger device you'll want to go to your Preferences-Keyboards and Control surfaces and either hit autodetect, of add and manually install it as a midi controller....

@TodaysbeatsTV Well i try to use the reason sounds. the prob is that i tried to set it up via autodetect several times.. it's searching for the alesis till i hit the "stop button" on it cuz the other pads don't work at this procedure at all.. strangely. and when autodetect is done i can smash any pad on it when i use the redrum but nothing happens again...
