  • snookie??

  • really curly/coarse/textured hair does not need 450+ degrees on the flat iron nor passing the iron 4-5 times. one time, when done correct, is all u need. is just about making sure its deep conditioned n technique. not heat. this is why i don't got to white stylists.

  • Should've of done it on someone with wavy or curly hair in my opinion.

  • uhm...yeah? what is we don't have or we don't use a hair protectant spray, can we still use a straightener or no?

  • What if I don't have a protectant spray? Can I still use a straightener?

  • @the4thbarlowgirl you can but if you straighten it to many times without a protectant, you can end up damaging your hair bad

  • i'm referring to my situation here: all the people saying her hair is already straight, that doesn't matter. my hair is extremely thick, so it always looks poofy. i recently started using a straightener to make it not look poofy. that is probably her reason.

  • Ok seriously I'm more impressed with how she sectioned her hair with perfect straight lines. ??? :)

  • Man all the comments about "your hair was already straight" She is showing us how to do it at home. If your hair is straight then you wouldn't be bothering to do it. This tutorial has made it so easy for me now to do my hair in 15mins instead of 30 - 45. Thanks heaps

  • 450 Africian American ....we don't need that much fuckin heat !

  • whats te point of using a flat iron if your hair is already straight

  • Its bad for you hair to have the flat iron on anything higher than 300 degrees F

  • you could have just combed it....

  • ok completely useless!!! Ur hair was already straight!!!!!!

  • you are so interesting to listen to ^_^ This was very helpful. Could you list some products I can use to protect my hair when I straighten?

  • Thanks so much for this video! I'll try this on the weekend. So glad I finally know how to do it right :D

  • If you want a professional flat iron and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, dual voltage, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. Also has a 3 year warranty. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair.

    I hope this helps.

  • To all the people who are talking about her already straight hair, yeah people with straight hair use flat irons too, to tame fly aways, and to make the hair smooth and sleek.

  • I was just telling my friends that if I could paddle blowdry my hair straight like yours, I wouldn't need to flat iron afterward.

  • thumbs up if you have a thick hair :D

  • My sister is a licensed Cosmetologist and she uses a Hanna or Hannah Straightener and it's works really good(:

  • I hate it when some girl on you tube have flat hairand are still falt iorning in we need a gurl with curlsy hair like me !!!!!!

  • @cristina45557 Exactly -_-

  • @cristina45557 dude chill it's not like they're advertising for the flat iron. they're teaching you HOW to flat iron your hair, straight, curly or wavy hair.

  • wow its looked more straight before

  • i wish i had hair like that..-.-

  • what is the product to protect your hair someone

  • @skygirl1789 CHI, google it for more info.

  • Straight hair getting straight?? NONSENSE!!

  • Umm...hello, where was her heat protectant? XD shes going to fry her ends.

  • i think you should use ur flat iron on natural hair. The results would be much more impressive. PLUS i've seen natural hair women on youtube w/ beautiful results!

  • Ok, are you from Jersey or somewhere up North? I def. hear a yankee accent coming from you. :) haha

  • this is retarded. so your straightening it more when it was already stright?

  • she straightens it because its thick i think

  • sorry to state the obvious but why put uneccessary heat on ur already straight hair -_-

  • how come your hair is so voluminous? when i straighten my hair, it just sticks to my head... i look like morticia :|

  • STOP THE COMMENTS SAYING HOW SHE ALREADY HAS STRAIGHT HAIR!! SHE'S JUST TEACHING YOU GUYS HOW TO STRAIGHTEN YORU HAIR!!!!!

  • You have great hair but it was already flat in the first place

  • it looks the sameee why do people with straight hair, straighten there hair? its bizzaro

  • you didnt even need to straighten your hair, how do we know what your doing works if you hair was straight in the beginning

  • before = after picture -__-

  • This was very helpful.

  • perfect hair

  • I LOVE YOUR HAIR ITS IN LAYERS ; P.S MINES TOO !

  • have u ever got burned with the flat iron?

  • @marzil its painful, trust me lol

  • @marzil, I touched one today

Now i got a blister on my finger :p

  • VERY pretty. Your husband is a blessed man. :-)

  • ok guyz yeah its true she has fairly straight hair. but if u use a straightener u could style it more and add volume and stuff

and plus her hair looked a little weird right after she blow-dried it anyways

  • how fast does the iron heat up and have u got burned?

  • great video! i love my karmin g3 straightener and use it all the time, but this was still helpful.

  • WOOOAH, even if you have natural african american hair you should NEVER have the iron set to 450, you WILL BURN YOUR HAIR OFF OR DAMAGE YOUR HAIR.

  • ID TAP THAT PUSSY.

  • how often can you straighten your hair without causing damage?

  • thank you for this video!

i have a ghd flat iron with pretty curly and thick hair. i'm able to straighten my hair very well, but my front layers curl a bit inward at the bottom throughout the day. could you tell me how to avoid this? is there a specific hairspray you recommend? thanks!!

  • ur hair alredy looks straight when u like blow dried it

  • um when i straighten my hair its hurts and when my mom does it on the back cause I can't reach it from there does that means i have damaged hair? Also i have layered hair and i straighten my hair it's not like together it's more separate and it looks weird O.o

  • I DID ALL THIS ALLL: AND MY HAIR STILL ISN"T STRAGHT!!!!!! AAAAAHHHH I WORKED SO HARD!!!!

  • i have a really crappy flat iron. is it still possible to get straight hair like yours with my flat iron?

  • her hair was already pretty straight before she even flat ironed it. misikko should have a differnt guide for flat ironing for differnt hair types (curly, coarse, wavy etc.) because it might be different for everyone. other then that it was a good video.

  • shes not getting the roots...

  • why are you telling me your salon losser

  • hey! i know that spray, it says "bigsexyhair" verticaly

  • You Have Pretty Hair :)

  • hey! there are so many products to use for straightening. I've found for extremely curly hair paul mitchell has a great product it has a bright green top and in a white bottle. There is also an amazing product called morocan oil i use this on myself and so many clients. It cuts the blowdry time 40% and adds a lot of shine. Morocan oil also has a creme for curly hair its also very good. You can also try rusk str8 thats a good one too! I hope this helps!

  • Gud tutorial. x

But your hair was already straight to begin wid x

  • yes I know.. the videos purpose was to show everyone how to flat iron their OWN hair. unfortunately I do not have curly hair.. would love it if i did! You always want what u don't have! lol In the video I try to explain what extra things you can do if your hair is extremely curly as im demonstrating ion my hair.

  • How long did it take for you to do your whole head?

  • depending on how thick your hair is and how curly really determines how long.. for me from start to finish blowdrying and flatironing about a half hour maybe a little less.

  • You are really pretty. And your hair is gorgeous.

  • aww you're so sweet thank you

  • how come u stopped making videos

  • For right now thats all Misikko wanted me to do.. I would love to do more but they just wanted basic videos for their customers. I would love to do more! haha

  • if my hair was that straight to begin with, i wouldn't bother straightening it....

  • @gymnast725 Well your hair obviously doesnt mean that much to you

  • @xAriellewasherex what? your comment really didn't make much sense

  • Well i guess it depends how smooth you want your hair to look.. id say 9 out of 10 of my clients with straight hair still use a flat iron..Arielle has a point it depends how much you care about your appearance and if you want to take the extra time or even think its worth it!

  • @gymnast725 true she has straight hair

  • @gymnast725 AGREED!

  • @gymnast725 right, a lot of people with straight hair don't realize how much damage they're already adding to their hair. True.. it's damaging for all hair types, but it's usually people with straight hair who flat irons it almost every day, which isn't healthy.

  • @gymnast725 well duh

    lol

  • @gymnast725 Straightening hair that is already straight gives it a sleeker look instead of a poofy look.

  • your hair is so pretty and you are really beautiful ^^ thanks for the tutorial :)

  • can u advise me : what is the best company that sells these things? brown / babyliss ???? plz reply :)

  • she doesnt really need to flat iron it

  • true, but ironing makes hair look more shiny (unless your hair is really burned :P)

  • I know!!! What kind of tutorial shows a woman flat ironing her already flat unwavy hair? :S

  • I really think I can use this, thanks!

  • her hair looks silkyyy as !

  • OMG!

  • ur hair was straight from the first place

  • @shokoraz YEah ur hair is super straight!!!

  • @shokoraz That's What Suppost To Happen When You Have Puffy Hair !

  • I like your dress!

  • Lol, you didn't need to flatiron that...it was straight to begin with. But you have really beautiful hair...really thick and healthy looking.

  • what kind of straightner was that? a hai?

    your hair is so shiny:)

  • can the flat iron burn out if its ceramic cuz my mom wont let me use it anymore because she thinks it will burn out. Because i have one just like that.

  • You already have straight hair..

  • Very helpful. Thanks

  • nice review

check out my channel for hair care and skin care reviews! :)

  • damn are you planning to burn you hair 300 degrees wow....

  • Actually most flat irons or any heating tool go up higher than that. Hair is pretty strong but since you don't want to damage it, you use the heat protectant. If you don't use a heat protectant you will be burning and damaging your hair.

  • wow you are pretty^^

    love your hair

  • ur freakin hottT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank u so much for show us how to use the flat iron!!

  • thanks for teaching us how to get this look.

  • It better be a big diamond ringm but it's ok if its plastic too.

  • So where are going to get my ring?

  • I still love you :)

  • Hey woman, I love you!!!

  • you like a girl for who she is not straight her hair is...it's good to do your hair but not very good to be too obsessed with it. if you use the iron frequently , your hair will be very brittle....

  • Great vid. u have the most beautiful smile :)

  • Thank you for posting this video.I just got myself my 1st flat iron and had trouble using it.You video was very helpful:)

  • i use a ceramic pro and my hair gets cought on it and pulls and causes me to have split ends and frizzes on the top of my head ....Any sugestions??

  • get a new flat iron

  • Your hair was already straight

  • same question as @MrToastAndButter

  • What flat iron did you use in this video? Also, what flat iron would you recomend for someone with semi-straight, fine hair with just a little bit of wave that is under 100 dollars? By the way, great video. Thanks.

  • honestly i like before better

  • omg me too

  • i agree

  • Your arms are so pretty!

Were all those curves created by doing hair?

Out of topic, as always, but can you do a litle video flexing and showing off your beautiful arms?

  • In her other video, the 601 one, she says not to put the flat iron to the highest heat setting if you have curly hair, but here she says to put it up to the highest heat setting. Caught ya red handed.

  • Im using a different flat iron in the other video the temperatures are different good looking out though! I'm sorry if I didnt make that clear

  • Maria. Some questions here.

    1. What do you mean when you say, "either are fine?"

    2. In this video, you're using a flat iron that is not as hot as the one in the other video?

I am a guy who is growing my hair out long for the first time in my life, so things most girls learn early on I'm learning now. I also have naturally curly/really wavy hair. Actually the top is pretty straight but the fringes, especially in the back, are curly. You have straight hair naturally, before flat ironing.

  • 3. Last one. Do you shampoo your hair everyday or every few days? I've read it depends on hair type. And do you condition each time you shampoo? I sometimes forget to condition. I've also read that shampooing in general is bad for hair, and the real purpose is, like pharmaceuticals, to earn money for companies. I've read natural shampoo or soap is ideal. What do you think of anti-dandruff shampoo or vinegar for hair health? Also, do you flat iron in the morning or at night?

  • shampoo your hair every few days..if its curly, shampoo less...my hair is super curly and i shampoo every three days. Condition your hair daily...Natural shampoos are generally better for your hair because they dont have all of the extra non-necessary products that regualr shampoos do, like fragrance and extra chemicals. Its better to flat iron in the morning, because if you do it at night and then wrap your hair, you'll have to do touch ups in the morning, and that is extra heat you dont need.

  • that interesting cause i always thought your hair has to be 100% dry to flat iron it or it might become static like.

  • emm, can you or anyone answer this ?

Is a VS ceramic hair straightener a good one ? Cause i wanna buy it, and yours looks really good, my old one doesn't stay in shape when i do this. So, please answer my question.

  • the best hair straightener hands down is a chi. The chi turbo or the original chi are both Fantastic.

  • I have a VS 1" ceramic and it gets my curly/wavy hair completely straight. I've never tried a Chi or Sedu or GHD but those are more expensive. Whether them being more expensive means they're better is debateable. I guess the only difference would be is how hot they heat up to.

  • love ur hair i want mine just like it
