  • always go from one groove to another, never really holding a melody long enough to get right into the music. its like a series of samples, each one lasting a few seconds then on to the next.

    why do all the drummers do this? cant they hold a tune?

  • Para el que no ha visto conguero tan bueno como Yosvany,Recuerda ANGA pero con el IVIANO de Cuba

  • Fuck u hoe n fuck cuba too

  • Fuck cuba

  • @elreybabas - fuck u bitch -________- !

  • Magically bro

  • In every conga related video I watch there's always a fuckin idiot hating on puerto rican percussionists and Cuba this and Cuba that. Cuba is great ok. There's a shit ton of culture in Cuba. Please stop hating when a Puertorican can play just as good if not better than some of you. They still give homage to it's origin so please, chill the fuck out.

  • The dude has crazy chops but honestly I felt it was kinda boring.

  • Mind = Fucking blown...

  • guao que sensacional

  • wow thats inspiring!

  • Cuban musicians excel in every type of instrument. They will humbly kick the ass of most musicians if they can leave the island to get the chance. One of Castro's closely guarded secrets!

  • Give online classes / Braincasts using the cool One-to-Many function of Brainrepublic. Make your money by payment per minute ...

  • To Paposantiago: In all fairness to Giovanni; if you watch his instructional video, he does mention the five greatest influences of conga playing. All five on his list were from Cuba. So he is quite aware of where much of it comes from. And as well, much credit, especially in the last 50 years, needs to be given to the Puerto Rican musicians.

  • Im writing this to see if anyone can help me find this video. It was an episode of I love Lucy show. For some reason, Desi asked fred the landlord, if it would be ok to have rehearsal in the apartment, since the club was being fixed for some reason, i don't remember. The band was doing a song, then all the band members played percussion instrument.The rhythum was so intensed that, i beleive it took Desi a few second to realise they were still taping after hey finished playing. AWESOME!

  • PFFFFFFFFF fantastic...

  • Africa!

  • Beautiful- this is real music. It doesn't need technology to sound good. I absolutely love afro-latino music!

  • @SelaamHabesha afrocuban

  • stjames61; You are right on that! Very well expressed. It's not what you say it's how you say it.

  • WOW! Who is this guy? I thought Giovanni was the greatest. But now....

  • RomancesyBoleros ;

    Name somebody as great (or better) than Giovanni. No dead people please.!!! They can't speak for themselves.

  • @PAPOSANTIAGO Por favor. The only thing greater than Cuba's enduring musical influence is the generosity of its musicians. Giovanni's is great, but he owes a huge debt to all the Cuban drummers who taught him, literally. It's sad to see musicians, who should know better, refusing to give credit to Cuban musicians. The true artist will always acknowledge his sources, as Tito Puente did.

  • @stjames61 Sad to say, some Cubans don't appreciate what they got. That's why the lost Cuba itself.

  • @PAPOSANTIAGO ARTURO SANDOVAL........etcc bebo VALDEZ...PAQUITO DE RIVER,ETCCC

  • Joeschoolshow;

    Giovanni is not ok... Giovanni is GIOVANNI!!! He did not learned from the cubans, the cubans are still learning from him. Aprende.

  • @PAPOSANTIAGO jajajajajajjajaajjajj GIOVANN IS BABY TROLL COMPARE TO THE ULTRA MASTER CUBAN MUSICANS WHO ARE RIGHT TRAVELING AROUND THE WORLD !!!!!!!!!! PLACES LIKE JAPAN,FRANCE,ITALY,ETCCCCCCC

  • All rolls and no butter!!!!

  • bello dove posso scaricare che

  • Pure African.

  • @Axmedkoole Pure African? It's Afro-Cuban which means it's African influenced bro.

  • He is good, now go see Giovanni

  • @photolense Giovanni is ok but who did he learn how to play from? Cubans. Especially changuito who took his time to take him to Cuba and show him how to play afro Cuban rhythms not the pop cultured commercial salsa drumming you see in the USA.

  • 4/5 He's got amazing chops and he seems like a great player but he switches from thing to thing too sporadically and it gets annoying

  • I love this type of music

  • te felicito.mipana saludo desde venezuela muy buena tu tencnica.
