  • I think MultiPC is correct - this is Aikido - from a Yoshinkan Aikido video.

  • Yeah I learned mine last Tuesday. I'm taking Yamabashi Ninjutsu.

  • the real judo technique

  • @kibrajesus It is fucking Akido.

  • @MultiPcExpert Ukemi are breakfalls taught in most martial arts. I also learn't this in Judo, Aikdo may teach the same fall using the same name. Though he is wearing a Judogi, and that he isn't crossing his feet when he goes from the roll to standing, shows that it is in fact JUDO!

  • @AndrewSherlock Aikido is older

  • @MultiPcExpert whats your point this is still a Judo video.

  • @AndrewSherlock My point is this is a Aikido video.

  • @AndrewSherlock This is Aikido. Judo and Aikido teach ukemi, or forward rolls and sometimes backward rolls because proper ukemi limits damage when taking a fall, or being thrown whether in practice or for real. Judogi is most likely a bastardized word for Keikogi or just gi, which is the real word for what most people wear while practicing a traditional (or Koryu) Japanese martial art. They come in many different colors besides white, or light tan.

  • @AndrewSherlock Also ukemi and breakfalls are two different types of falls.

  • I just learned this technique tonight :)
