Uh oh x) I've finished the ribbing and it's looks pretty good but somehow I've ended up with a couple more stitches than I was supposed to.... Is that bad? If so, what do I do? Thanks ^-^
@Juggerknot420 If you've wound up with extra stitches, knit another round and do two decreases where the extra stitches are -- do two knit two stitches together is the easiest way.
@terryknits Even though I ended up with more stitches it came out looking like your ribbing... If I do the body with the extra stitches won't it just effect the size?
@Juggerknot420, I use a long tail cast on, starting out with a tail with about 1 inch per stitch cast on. I slip the first stitch purl wise but I'm not sure it really makes a difference because you will join it with the last stitch
@terryknits Ahhh, thank you :D I started over this morning and used the Long tail cast on and it seems to work alot better :) but when I joined the last stitch with the slip stitch it joined together but it wouldn't pull tight :/ It left some string in the middle hanging down. So I kinda just left it. haha, we'll see how it turns out :)
*sigh* :( No offense but this pattern makes me want to nothing but kill things. I keep getting snags/knots therefore making it very difficult do. I should probably just start over. Is it just me or is the beginning of a knitting project very akward? I keep getting REALLY long pieces of strings in the middle. I do appreciate the video though ^-^ I agree with everyone els, you are a great teacher, and you have such a sweet voice :) Thanks. Please reply :)
@Juggerknot420 I'm sorry to hear that you're having so many problems. Beginning can be difficult. Casting on is a pain. Then I too often join the round wrong and wind up twisted. Then getting used to the stitch pattern and getting into the rhythm of it takes awhile. If you are getting snags and knots, it might be the yarn and/or needles you are using. If you are using wooden needles with acrylic, it can get messy. Or if you are using an inexpensive or novelty yarn that could be a problem.
@terryknits i guess the problem may come from where you fetch the yarn to start knitting. I have discovered that only by starting with the wool "inside' and not with the yarn which ends on top of the skein, do I avoid the terrible knotting and twisting while i knit. Pick up and small tangle right from the center of the "ball" and pull. untangle that little bit of mess to find the very beginning of the yarn, start casting and knitting. Bonne chance...
Hi terryknits!! Hope everythng is well with you and family. I've been waiting for more of your wonderful videos. When you have the chance could you post a video on baby booties? Thanks a lot!! Take care.
Wow, you're a wonderful teacher, if you're not one you should be. I love the way you show and explain at the same time. Please keep posting your videos
At last--knitting instructions that are perfectly clear and easy to understand. I have always been bewildered by anything more complicated than the standard knit and purl.

@Juggerknot420 The pattern is in multiples of 8 stitches. If you have an extra 3 stitches, the pattern won't turn out correctly.

What kind of cast on did you do? Also when you slip the first stitch is it knit-wise or pearl-wise?
