This song reminds me of my lost love back in the 60's. After she left me for somebody else this song became my favorite. I love Jerry Vale's songs. Back in the Philippines where I grew up, he ws so popular in the 50's and 60's. Very lovely song.
So Wonderful Jerry Vale is, and an amazing voice........There arn't too many out there that can compare to him...Love his songs.....I get enjoyment every time i listen to them.....
Saw Jerry Vale perform at the fabulous, legendary Blue Room at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. He was magical. Opening song, "I feel a song coming on." An incredible voice and performer!
Why? Why,....why was Jerry never really as well known as Sinatra or Dean Martin?? All anyone has to do is just sit and,.....listen to this great song, this great voice,...and they wiil ask WHY just as I do!!
Great song! I love, love, love, love, love Jerry's voice! I listen to a lot of different crooners and Jerry is my very favorite. His voice has a power and emotion but at the same time it has a peace about it. I can't explain it. Hearing him really lifts my soul. I love you, Jerry!
So very well stated! As I have commented her on the "Tube," Jerry should be just as well known as Sinatra and Martin! Mmmm, so strange,...dont ya think??
That's funny because that is the exact same thought I had after discovering Jerry! Not to put down Sinatra or Martin, but Jerry's voice is vocal art in my opinion =) He's a very nice man too. I sent him a letter back in '06 and he sent me back an autograph!
No kidding?! He actually sent you a autograph< WOW...! What a guy! I have to bring up something that is a answer to WHY Jerry and Vic Damon were not "superstars" like Martin and Sinatra. It's no secret that Sinatra was very involved with thw mob. And, in those days,..that was EVERYTHING! So, if ya add 1+1 we can figure stuff out! Thanks for you invite. I accepted. Write me back.
@44skins my guess would be Jerry has a refined classy presence, not the hard edged bad boy of Sinatra and suggestiion of sexuality of both he and Martin, both of whom I really like as well.
My absolute favorite Jerry Vale song.. Just something about those italian singers.

I love Jerry. He had a great voice. He lacked the charisma of Sinatra and that is true of so many other good singers.

The four aces were the second group to record this number following Vaughan Monroe. Having said that, they are beautifully done...BRAVO!!!!
