Newt the Chicken Hawk, avoided Vietnam War through deferments. Gingrich voted for NAFTA, and GATT. Has been in the CFR since at least 1990. He supports amnesty. He fought so hard in 1996 against Paul getting elected (he got 50 congressmen and Bush41 to endorse Paul’s primary opponent) It will be especially enjoyable watching Paul trounce him badly in these primaries.

I was under the impression that for something to be "traditional" it must be a tradition, i.e., "a long-established or inherited way of thinking or acting." I don't think "avoiding foreign entanglements" has been long-established, at least not in practice.

We are now serfs...and can be hauled off with out charge or court. America as we knew it has died a quiet death. But we should trade freely with others and treat them respectfully, not knock the snot out of them because they have a different culture than this one. It simply isn't our business and we might practice the golden rule. We are a sovereign nation and therefore to have our leaders do the bidding of the UN is unthinkable. Constitutional violations hurt us.
