the briefing theme really does help this mash up out a lot!! You have so many undertones in this song that are barely audible. Out of curiosity, does the briefing theme play throughout the whole track?
@ShadowWolfTJC That is strange. I checked the link just now and it works fine. I do know that servers have a tendency to become inactive for a while. Try again in an hour. If it still doesn't work, let me know and I'll re-upload the song.
The briefing theme is so fast :D it makes a nice start out beat. Who wants to race against Samus? I do, I don't even care if I die, seeing my favorite hero in a race would be badass right?
@OverlordLS I think Extreme-G was a product of the times, and brought together the best of it's required elements. Solid control, impressive visuals, unique racing vehicles, an energetic soundtrack, and decent replay value. A true classic. A proper remake would most likely be an updated version of the original, which while obscured by more popular racers, would still be great in it's own right.
Wow. Another great mix. You gotta stop doing this great of a job otherwise we'll have to go to Nintendo and yell at them to hire you and I'm just too lazy to do that. lol XD
you somehow manage time and time again to mesh two songs from two games I love, no matter how obscure they may be (in this case extreme g, since Metroid isn't exactly obscure)
Samus has received a special invitation to compete in the Extreme-G Grand Prix. The competition takes place in one week. Out of spare and usable parts from her ship, Samus was able to create a new, incredibly fast machine dubbed, "Hunter's Rage." As the day of the race finally comes, Samus takes her position and the countdown has begun, but just before the race starts Samus sends a message to the other racers saying, "See you next race." The buzzer goes off and the race has begun.
I'm imagining a race track going through the Bottle Ship with various enemies either getting in your way or trying to shoot you down as you navigate through each of the different sectors.
O.O this is pretty amazing. How did you come up with this?? It sounds so beautiful and peaceful yet it sounds like a type of music you'll hear in a street fight
I love the part where it sounds like Lorenzen's Soil from Earthworm Jim 2! Awesome!

@Dr4gw0rk3r She'd just outrun everything with the Speed Booster. :P
Although her turning would be shot to shit.

An odd combination, but awesome nonetheless! I remember I had extreme G for the Nintendo 64.

This sounds like it would fit a race scene perfect. Kinda reminds me of the old SNES F-Zero.

This is awesome! I love how you blended the Tallon Overworld track into the mix, especially around 1:30 . A blast to listen to. :)

@Hauntershadow The only redeeming feature of MoM is the Music, and you, Haunter, make it even better.

@Hauntershadow Yeah. It's a real shame that the sequels never captured the original magic.

Then again... I consider pretty much anything involving Extreme G to be godly. That game needs a next-gen sequel done right. Rest in peace, Acclaim.

Nintendo needs to fucking take note. You are, like, a godmaster of this stuff.

I could see Samus being a secret unlockable character in F-Zero.
That reminds me, there needs to be another F-Zero game. GX was great, but I think it's time for a sequel.

This somehow reminds me of F-Zero GX, this would actually fit perfectly into that game as Samus' Theme song if she had a cameo in that game.
You're mixing skills don't seize to amaze me, I would totally hire you to do some mixes for the new Super Smash Bros. if I worked at Nintendo.
