@crocreek The Turboprop engine is a jet engine derivative, occasionally called a hybrid jet engine. The thrust generation is a combination of the expelled jet and the propeller. So yes it is a jet.

way to make money out of poor third world countries. According to aviation websites, so far China has sold 30 of this kind and has 3 accidents already! all 3 of them overshoot the runway because of brake failures. luckily, there were no fatalities.

China has 50 years experience of Aviation industry, fighters such as Mig-25 are exported since 1970s earlier than garments, coz the gov focuses on defense products at that time like USSR. People in other countries usually don't know about that because ordinary don't need to buy a jet fighter, but ask weapon dealers, they know much.

It is either the Fokker or a license produced An-140. I think it is Ukrainian with all the cooperation they have in jets.
