This movie and soundtrack was awesome back in 1978!!!!

Through todays eyes it will be viewed and criticised as dated,but definitely a classic!!!!

Is this the worst film ever scored by Goldsmith?!! I just watched it and it's hard to think of a more perfect storm of ineptness. I till think Goldsmith wrote this score with his tongue firmly planted in his cheek: it sounds deliberately a bit corny and over the top.

@SharpeyCol That's the story of Jerry Goldsmith's career. He wrote a lot of great music, some of it truly magnificent, for bad films (and for some really great pictures, too). He is known for this among his fans. Bernard Herrmann once told Goldsmith: "Your music is too good for these movies."
