@DTaurelion I just find it odd that you like this music even thoo you thinkg Iced Earth stuff is garbage when Schaffer writes the music and Kürsch writes the lyrics.? See Im more fond of IE music but not lyrics I love BG lyrics but the music is good just not great. So D&W is the perfet match for me.

This stuff is dark. I've actually have had nightmares from the songs and the story they tell. H.P. Lovecraft would have had nightmares from these songs!!!! LOL

I don't think iced earth has better songs. To be honest the show I saw with guardian was better the Iced Show was kinda disappointing. Not to mention both singers in both bands were sick when I saw them.

I saw guardians few years ago and it was awesome. but then again I saw IE 2 months ago with Barlow back and it was amazing. crowd was excellent, they were healthy and did awesome job.

i read in several interviews that hansi did most of the work on the lyrics and jon on the music. but they talked it through together to make everything fit.

my point is: vocals and lyrics are by hansi(mostly) and the music is by jon shaffer

On another note, I'm really getting tired of people insinuating that no one is allowed to have a strong opinion. I think Demons and Wizards is good, I think Blind Guardian is great, and I think just about everything by Iced Earth is garbage. You can disagree all you want and I won't think less of you for it so long as you respond in a reasonably respectful manner. That's all.
