@bazoongas66 In real life no. You cant tell from this video. In real life they are really rich and full. The one i tried had some pretty heavy strings on it though.
Thanks for the advice, but I'm not really an acoustic fingerstyle guy...threw this up because someone wanted to hear it. I'm an electric 80's rocker, so it's not worth it for me to develop good right hand fingerpicking technique.
@GuitarRocks23455 Taylors and Martins are great guitars dont get me wrong i love them....but you are buying the name brand more than you are guitar...did you know martin gets most of their supplys from seagull? yep seagulls are the same guitars pretty much, but logging in canada doesnt cost as much money, so the wood comes cheaper. and they arent a greedy brand like martin or taylor. your buying same quality of guitar, but 4 times less money
I have an s6, been playing for about a year now. Slow progress as I only have a few minutes a day to practice. Anyone have any advice on practicing. I only can play open chords right now, some simple tunes.
Wow! Ignore all comments. That was an incredible cover! I loved everything about it. I wouldn't even attempt to try to learn it man. Well f'n done, man! I would love to hear more of your stuff. Satriani is my guitar god.
I got one as begginer and it really helps when you play finger picking songs, it's really comfortable, I was planning on getting the epiphone masterbilt, but one I tried this one it sounded so much sweeter. Really its a great guitar.
the only reason seagulls are not thousands of dollars like a lot of others like Taylor, martin, gibson, etc. is because the canadian government gives the wood to them for free which is great because they usually don't go more than over 800 when it sounds better than almost every guitar you may pick up.
Seagull S6 sounds great. Best guitar for the money. The neck is a little wide compare to other guitars. It is also on a shorter scale. but it really is about preference.
Nice job. Most Satch covers I find are electric, so it's nice to hear an acoustic rendition. I admire your picking, esp. since I'm a noob at fingerstyle.
What pickup are you using? Mine is really hummy, even tho it's supposed to be humbucking. Go figure.
Definately worth every penny. Had mine over ten years now, play everyday & it gets better & better. They feel so good. The Gull has a big voice when needed, gorgeous bass response & sweet harmonics. Low action for speed. Mine has a few battle scar's now but would never part with it. The solid top is just singing. Try a few models before you buy, friends have expensive Taylors that I would'nt bother to play, its very personal what suits when it comes to feeling comfortable with an instrument.
I believe this is one of the best covers for this song out there. Your tempo seems the slightest bit off at times, that I'm in any position to criticize. Love the sound of the guitar-best sub 2,000 guitar for finger-picking
Very nice job. I have had an S6 for almost 5 years now and I love it. Great guitar. It's my beater and has really taken a beating. It's held up very well.
I am wanting to upgrade to a Seagull for two reasons, the cedar sound I have on my current guitar and the wider neck Seagulls have.Watching people's videos like yours is really making up my mind.I am learning to finger pick but with large fingertips that flatten out the longer I play, the Seagull is the obvious choice.

Yeah but sad for me...I don'T like wide necks :(
Kozu313 2 years ago
Doesn't bug me too much, but then again, I never really play my acoustic anyway.
GuitarMan216 2 years ago
Kozu.......They have an original neck series so that shouldn't be a problem
hit249 2 years ago
it's still wider than the most.
Gotta try it first tho.
Kozu313 2 years ago
@Kozu313 buy the narrow neck model. There is one

Don't remember. But don't buy it based off of this video. It wasn't plugged in...the audio is just from the camera's Mic. :D

Thanks! It's done well by me so far. I don't really get much time to play the acoustic much though, so it collects dust most of the time. :(

doodoohead37 3 years ago
Thanks! I didn't use the pickup in the video, just the camera mic. But it's a Fishman humbucker...runs about $80. I like it.
