For all the damage done by that flood, at least one good thing came out of it. New track bed and sleepers on the tracks for platforms 3 and 4. They were in a disgusting state of disrepair before. When the diesel railcars pulled in, they would wobbled up and down on nearly rotted away sleepers and missing ballast. It was beyond belief that they had been left in such a state.
