at&t works really good for me i live in hawaii and i get really good coverage i had to pay 200.00 to get out of the tmobile contract so att makes u pay less to do that

At first everything was great but now I hate At&t they charge me for using the internet even if i did not use it. I get this wap.cingular (exact words) on my bill, I get calls I did not make and other crazy charges. I call but they act like a computer never makes mistakes and that I'm the liar. we should stand outside At&t buildings with signs and maybe they will listen or better yet take them to court!
Ok, Cingular was alot better. AT&T came in, cut some roaming out & never put there own towers in those areas. They dont keep up with the towers like Cinuglar did so more dropped calls & call fail message.

Went 2 Verizon, we love it! i even have EVDO (3G) service in my house where AT&T only had EDGE..
if you really hate your service switch to Verizon, if no Verizon get Alltel, Verizon bought Alltel and should have the Verizon name in 09.
My service sucks even though the damn coverage map says I should have 4 bars anywhere in my town. Also, starting today, I have to pay 20 cents just to receive a text. Fuck AT&T, I'll go back to Tracfone.

I Work for At&t Wirless. We have no control over 80% of things that happen. We have atlest 4 supervisors and QA's listenting to almost every call.
At&t makes up these stupid rules for us to hand down the customers and they arent the ones who has to deal with the mad customer, we do, so we have someone argueing in our ears.
When not under the scoop I try to help customers as much as possible, but otherwise, I got bills to pay!
I have AT&T and I dont have any problem with them at all. I live in El Paso, Texas and I drive a lot to Arizona. On the way to Tucson, (I-10)it is completely the middle of fucking nowhere and I have at least 3 bars signal.
In El Paso I always have signal. Even in the University library some peple have no signal because of the supposed cellphone jammers but I mannage to get at least 1 to 2 bars.
I dont recall ever seeing the words No Service on my phone even in the middle of the fucking desert!

okay... I HATE AT&T! I got a PDA phone in october, it was like 120 dollars a month witch was fine. they put random charges on my account, and downloads i never did. my bill started running 250 dollars a month. my phone got shut off yesterday, i just told them to cancel my whole account. My phone never worked in any buildings, only outside. I have to pay 175 for the shitty contract. I have verizon now... it rocks
AT&T Wireless & Cingular merged in 2005. True, they doubled subscribers, but also doubled the network. In 2007, only a name change took place. At some point, however, Tmobile acquired some of AT&T's unwanted cell sites. That probally accounts for your weak signal in home. Best of luck!
the customers that were on Cingular network are the same ones that were with AT&T after acquisition, there were no doubling up of anything , the only customers that were added were just simply the new people that signed up during the quarter that's all!! It the exact same company dude!!

Well perhaps you should see the acquisition structure of the ATT name. They did double the subscribership. Customer care even admitted it. Perhaps your service is good. I am happy for you. Att also over billed me $100 per line since august. Do yourself a favor get HELIO.

yea it did get worse because AT&T cut spending, my couson use to work for AT&T and told me about it, he now works for Verizon which pays more, he got us to switch and we love it.
i live in southern maine and i had cingular then when they changed i actually got service at my house.. i didnt with cingular but i did with at&t so im glad they changed..until my phone broke and i took it into them and they said that they wont fix it.. (and i had the insurace thing for like $5 a month).. so when my contract ends (december or 2008..ugh) im changing to verizon..

I'm here in western washington state and I signed up for AT&T service about a month ago and I have yet to have any problems. Want to talk about a poor cell provider. Let's talk Sprint/Nextel. They were nothing but a pain in my neck since the day I had them. But in the end it will be well worth the $300 dollars to get out of my contract and have them out of my life.

I am in Ocean City, MD - I can't upload. When I try to upload a file I get disconnected.
I tried uploading a video to Youtube, FTP and SSL - same results. It starts out fine and then just goes down to old school dual up speeds.
I'm most likely going to cancel my 3G internet service (WAP) if this keeps up.

att works great for me... and has always worked great for everyone local I know on cingular (my mom still has a cingular SIM card). Our family switched t-mo -> cingular a long time ago, and have been very happy.
