The place I would suggest using e7 would be the bridge, not the chorus. The chorus already has two chords change from the first half to second half- c, g, f, c to c, g, am, f. The bridge is the same both halves- c, em, am, f to c, em, am, f.

I do like the progression of c to e7 to am, but I don't think it sounds better in this song.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow is in the key of c, there are not any sharps of flats in the range. g to am is g b d to a c e. e7 is e g# b d, in the key of a.

The accidental sounds cool, because of the g, g#, a on the fourth string. But that clashes with the melody.

Thank you for posting, but for the perect of the ukulele and Brutha IZ, you pronounce the name as IZREAL KAMAKA VIVA OLE......Also for the meaning of the instrument....the uku'lele is pronounces OOKOO LEIGH LEIGH. Its stands for 'dancing fleas". When the Hawaiians first saw the guitar being played they thought the fingers moving looked like flead junping (dancing) around........Just some fun facts to know. Always with much ALOHA!
