That car with that list of mods should be getting ALOT better times. Might just need seat time in it. My 96 with just h pipe catless dual flowmasters and k&n runs 14.68 all night long. Good luck with it though. And to the guy who said the v6 is a better platform, you should do some research... There is a reason I sold my 04 3.8 for this 96 4.6

alright if you want to break 14.9 stay out of the water box because that only helps for slicks, go around it and do a short burn out the rear tires leave at 15-17psi and put about 38psi in the front the back will make you hook and the fronts will roll easier i tried this in my 96 and went from 15.3/92mph to 14.95/94mph mine has 245/45 tires and they are streets. PS carry a small aircompressor or go to a gas station after racing.

14.9? I feel that you can get better times. If you spend quite A bit of time at the track i suggest get sticky mickeys for the rear and remove the front swaybar to better the weight transfer and cut front weight. You are spinning the tires to much when you launch it. ALWAYS AVOID the water box if your running street tires. Follow my advice and watch your times drop high 13s

Huge mustang fan but im surprised you dont sell the 96 and put it into the 04 v6, the v6 has more potential than the old v8. Opinion. Stock it only makes 35 more hp than that v6..

@everettemetoyer It's not hard to get these things going, you just need to know what to do to wake them up. First of all, you need new tires, gears, and a tune. Nice setup you have though. Freeing up weight is good and all but more power is needed. H/C/I mustangs with exhaust/gears/etc. will run mid, low 12's.

Didn't the STOCK '96 GT's do like low 15's or high 14's? Anyways, good job and nice car. It's pretty awesome having a V6 and a GT. I might get a '88 GT or LX 5.0 and a '94 cobra, but my dream Stang is an '04 Terminator Cobra with a Kenne Bell.

If you like the quater so much. You could always upgrade your rearend gears to something tighter. Like a 3.73 or a 4.10 setup. Your fuel economy might get hurt a little bit but thats when the v6 is for right? By the way both of your cars are sick. Good job.

thats a really nice car. but theres one thing thats holding this car back is traction. and doing burnouts on street tires doesnt help with traction just balds the tires. slap on a pair of drag radials and you might see the high 13's
