If Buddy got the chance to actually record this in the studio (the versions that were released came out after he died and used demo vocals, recorded at home, and instrumental arrangements by producer Jack Hansen) I think it would have put him in the stratosphere. Follow it up with "I Fought The Law" (written by Sonny Curtis, one of his friends growing up) and he'd have been bigger than Elvis going forward.
