almost all bassests can actually, most profetianal bassist learn guitar first then transfer over to bass. there basicaly the same anyway so it wouldn't be hard. i learned guitar first then bass, now i play both but bass in my band

Not in my opinion. Many of the songs I play, whether quick or anything are relatively simple as long as you know your guitar inside and out. I can't read tabs though, I learn by ear.

I'm not a nightwish fan, but i know talent when i see it, and nightwish is full of talent. I just dont like their style to much, but that's just me.

@R2ROrancid as a keyboardist i do use backtrack while i play sometimes,its pretty common,and allows you to mix alot of diffrent things,i know he rarely does it,and yes he does mess up (good one for catching that) but a few times he has used it. i still love toumas no matter what though

@R2ROrancid When you listen to "High hopes" from the End of an era concert, he missed a key in the last part. But it's true that Tuomas uses much samples because he can't play 4 layer's at the same time!

@R2ROrancid i agree with you 100% but i think he uses backing tracks for songs like Last of the Wilds (he still plays the main part but has the other string and choir parts sampled), and songs that have a crap ton of keyboard parts xpp if he did every part thats like what 10 boards on stage at least for some songs.

I got a chance to talk to Marco and the rest of the band after the Jaxx show in Virginia. I told him that on their next album, whenever that is, I want at least 3 Marco songs. He laughed and said he'd talk to Tuomas. haha The Islander, and While Your Lips Are Still Red are the magnum opus of Marco's singing ability thusfar, he is an amazing singer, yet under-used. Thats not to say Anette doesn't kick ass either :)
