  • This is the first Final Fantasy game I ever played. And that is the only reason why this game is the my nostalgic favorite.

  • had soo much trouble with that fucking salamander in this game

  • this makes me wanna play this again..

  • i had this game and i couldn't beat it because of leviathan and my cousin took it from my dsi.

  • Luneth: chop chop chop chop chop chop chop. 9999 damage

  • In my opinion it's the best final fantasy, also the best battle theme! ^^

  • nice, you even got the tiny background beats

  • I wish the DS wouldn't make the song grainy, and lower quality :( and headphones don't make the song sound like this but it is a great improvement.

  • I'm playing this game on the NES version currently. I can't believe how much fun it is. Its so strategic and fun. For an old game, its really giving you your money's worth. I wonder how people felt like when they first opened the game back in the NES days, must've been exciting to be a kid and opening the box so that you can explore an amazing new world and get deeply immersed into the game.

Not to mention, the music is beautiful

  • that song is the hardest song to play in a orchesta.

  • This sounds so much like "Castle Pandemonium" from FFII.

  • ok, that was creepy. i was listening to this, and all of the sudden, my washing machine stated making noises that were on the same exact beat as this song...

  • @chcoman123 maybe you should be playing the boss theme about now instead...

  • @Gigameth89 lol perhaps.

  • I went for two bards a devout, and one viking. always worked for me

  • @xan1242 For you. ._. FFIX is awesome but i like FFT the best from the spin-offs. From the main series, FFIII :D (And i am not sucking on FFIII just because this is a FFIII video ._.)

  • The first 5 seconds of the Battle Theme is the same as virtually every other FF game...and I LOVE IT. :D

  • Where the heck can i find a piano cover of this?! i have only found one on youtube so far...

  • FFIII IS beast

    I really like it!

FFIV, FFIII, FFIX,FFVI, FFT, FFVIII, FFX, X-2, FFXII, FFXIII, FFVII and FF Are the fuckin best!!

  • @Tr3s3ntos You get to bash monsters with BOOKS! Think of it! (bash-bash-bash-bash with one, Bash-bash-bash-bash, with another, ending with a final bash)

  • @Tr3s3ntos But FF IX is THE BEST OF THE BEST

  • In my opinion, out of all the FF's I played (1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 10, 13), this is the best. I just got 3 on my iPod, and so far, it's beating my now 2nd fave, 13. I just love how you can change jobs just like that. Also, epic music in this game.

  • FFIII, the game with the worst story and the hardest bosses.

Top three for the best music ever.

  • the bass-line at the beginning makes me think it's final fantasy9.

  • Also, final fantasy games, like more 'RPGs', really aren't difficult.

  • the music is the best thing about final fantasy. Otherwise, I'm not really fetched by this series tbh.

  • I seriously want this game now.

  • I WILL COMPLETE THIS GAME!!! someday (-_-)

  • @MoombaTroopa don´t get your hopes to high ...

  • oh yessssssssssssssssssssssss

  • I've played and i would say it's HARD!!!. i mean your only starting off and you go up against zombies and they pwn you.

  • Not my favorite tune in the game (that'd be the boss theme,) but still an enjoyable listen.

  • Advice: Try the party below (it's so badass):

    Summoner

    Magus

    Sage

    Devout

  • @AjiraCtelin1993 You're missing a ninja there somewhere...

  • @PsychoToasters stfu and gtfo. Ninja not required.

(sarc on) Missing a ninja. (sarc off) PHOOEY!! I'm a MAGE-BASED player. I don't do s--t like that. NO NINJA FOR ME!

  • @AjiraCtelin1993 I had 2 ninjas, a devout and a magus. Don't think I had any trouble after that. :P

  • @PsychoToasters I believe that the fact that I had the DS version kinda helped.

The item duplication glitch (auto-farm glitch as I call it) is the reason why.

My job levels for the party I listed are lvl 99 apiece.

  • I prefer the Dissidia version of this...

  • @SwordSkill2 Well duh. Dissidia makes almost everything better. XD But this is still good.

  • @lolrar Nah... I rea;y prefer Dissidi's one over this... And Dissidia remixes suck sometime like the FF4 battle one..

  • what it the name of the music?

  • i never noticed all these instruments when playing the game for real. i don't know how come. but i really like the music better in this video than on the DS. for some reason.

  • @gamefreakY

probably cause you are listening to it on high quality speakers.

  • @gamefreakY Try Wearing Headphones and Max your DS volume or something (I'm not sure I have no DS :P)

  • @gamefreakY better quality : D

  • @gamefreakY DS has a shitty soundchip player, that's why.

  • @dilps I have proven by myself that a pair of headphones are enough to bypass the lossy DS speakers

  • @HyperHoundoom Yes, headphones help a LOT!! Those speakers have too much treble range and make it sound like it's being played through a cellphone speaker.

  • @gamefreakY DS hardware is pretty lacking (specifically the speakers) so you wouldn't have heard it unless you used headphones.

  • WHY DIDNT DUH FREAKIN JAPONESE PEOPLE GIVE US FF 2 AND FF 3 ALONG W. THE OTHERS WHEN IT WAS MADE? ITS EPIC!!!

  • @Soulzarath1 The short answer? Business politics. Long answer? Square USA licensed the Final Fantasy series a few years after they were released in Japan. They put out the first game for the NES, abandoned the second and ignored the third in favor of promoting the Super Nintendo and its 16-bit capabilities.. At the time, Final Fantasy IV was the latest release and Square USA wanted that game as part of the launch catalogue and to help dispel confusion, they chose to name it Final Fantasy II.

  • @Soulzarath1 They DID give us FF2, its for the PSP.

  • this reminds me of ff2 battle theme

  • Believe it or not, this is my favorite FF battle theme. And yes, i played final fantasy 7 and 10. And again, believe it or not, Final fantasy III is one of my favorite Final fantasys.

  • @mirrorpiece FFX can win with victory fanfare hands down, but for battle songs, I thought it sucked. III is pretty good for battles though.

  • Scott Pilgrim bass line.

  • @aswaxsora Actually the bass line came from Final Fantasy 4's boss theme

  • @HaruTouga Really? I've heard it comes from the II, III, and now the IV. No one can decide, huh?

  • @aswaxsora Actually the bass line came from Final Fantasy 4's boss theme

  • @aswaxsora

    That was ff2... *facepalm*

But at least you are enjoying the music.

  • @AniBenNerd That's what I thought. And then someone said it comes from here, and then HaruTouga said it came from IV. See why it's confusing?

  • @aswaxsora

Well... it does say that it is the bass line to final fantasy 2 in the film, not sure about the comics.

  • @aswaxsora

Well... it does say that it is the bass line to final fantasy 2 in the film, not sure about the comics. but yeah.

  • @AniBenNerd AH! I found it. It is IV, but in America it's II. Or maybe it's the other way around.

  • @aswaxsora

Yup, it is 2, but only for us western folk, 2 was originaly 4 in jap. So it is 2, but it is 4. depends on how you think about it.

  • I love the percussion in the beginning! one of the few to have that actually

  • wtf are people saying that FFIV got the theme from this??? anybody that is a Final Fantasy fan would know that the first 5 seconds of ALL FF battle themes are the same. and to Mr. Final Gamer, if you can count, FF1 comes BEFORE FF3 so yeah...

  • @McScreamo

    FF7, FF8, FF10, FF12, FF13

don't have battle themes with the opening bass line.

  • @JotunnTheImp obviously. i'm talking about the NES/SNES ones

  • this was tecnicly the 1st FF game i played ugh i suck at it never got past medusa :O

  • i only hated this song when i was stuck

ok the giant rat is right there fully heal..... OK READY! one step bofore boss screen shatters AH F***

  • made every battle epic.

  • i liked FF III gameplay better than FF IV...it seemed more realistic than FF IV, personal opinion. Awesome battle theme :)

  • @Ryuuzora94 agreed.

I liked the battle system in 3 also better than 4

  • so this is were FFIV got its theme from

  • omg i love this

  • I prefer the NES version, especially the NES' intro.

  • @BassX0 me too.

  • Looks like two enormous fags are having an arguement on youtube.

Why don't you weeaboos just enjoy the nostalgic music.

  • @AnonCount because, to them, it's serious business.

  • @null SHUT UP NAO, LYING FOOL

  • this is one of those songs that make you press buttons ON BEAT without you realizing it

  • @iwatch6535 it made me hit alt F4 :/

  • @iwatch6535 God I do that shit all the time.

  • @iwatch6535 I never realized it indeed, but i think i did that alotXD

  • @Kongregater3 Yeah-ha no.

  • @pyrix orchestration sucks

  • @Kongregater3 That's your opinion, however an extremely minor one compared to others who have obviously vastly better tastes in music than yours.

  • @Kongregater3 I'm curious on your stand as to why you don't like it....this is not a hate thing i'm just curious...

  • @sparkaura Its not really techno-ified like the other ones. ITS SO ANNOYING.

  • @Kongregater3 Oh ok. Not all FF battle music are all that techno they tend to use real instruments and such....

  • @Kongregater3 LIES!

  • @OmnomTheDevourer YOU LIES!

  • @Kongregater3 NO YOU!

  • All FF battle themes should orchestrate the intro like this one...

  • this battle theme is real good but ill stick with ff3/6 battle theme over any of the ff. i honestly didn't really like ff7 battle theme at all

  • あ~なんで売ったんだろう。。。。

  • Luneth!!!

  • cmon ppl dont fite litsen to the music love sing it rape it and comment on its awsomeness

  • Anyone notice how this and FF9's battle theme have the same opening beat?

  • @xLuky

All the early games have the same opening up to at least FFIV. FFIX simply was paying homage.

  • @xLuky Almost every Final Fantasy battle theme has the same opening.

  • this song never gets old it is like the best battle theme next to ffvii and ffx

  • this is my favourite :)

    thx for uploading

  • dun dun DUN DUN DUN dun DUNDUNDUN dun DUN duunnn du dunnnnn du du du du du duuuuduu

  • This is a great game and stuff but I find it hard to proceed with the story cos they dont really tell where to go next ):

  • *raises hand* i am gulty of using an action replay towards the end of this game :3 n i iz proud !

  • Who is the guy on the cover supposed to be?

  • @justa16thnote

That is Luneth, the "Main" or Playabvle characters of the game.

  • @EaliFey Doesn't really look like him. I guess the ponytail is the key?

  • @justa16thnote The person on the cover looks more like a women to me

  • @EaliFey

No. Luneth or Ingus or any of the 4 were not in the original 3 for the NES. Those names are only in the DS version. That character is another "random hero", although Dissidia turned that exact picture into a younger looking onion knight.

  • @justa16thnote

    I think its Luneth

  • @NeoMasterRex It's actually from the artwork when the characters had no names or backstories and it was only in Japan. For obvious reasons, he's simply called the Unnamed Hero. Although with the ponytail he does look a bit like Luneth. Maybe Luneth is derived from the Unnamed Hero.

  • @Ramen86861

Well, that could be....maybe hes the onion knight from Dissidia...he was designed from the unnamed hero too

  • im sorry but i hated FF3 just because the game just damn annoys me but thats probably because it can give some of the most fustrating challenges like having no good armor or swords and accidently flying over that place that bombs you to hell and traps you forever :( i got out but it took me like a week to find good items in there

  • @Luigiman217 roughly translated, "I don't like this game because it requires some skill and strategy"

  • @ParadoxNG well put it that way i dont even like the story that much anyways so yeah

  • Comment removed

  • @ParadoxNG haha good translation skills there from the noob

  • @ParadoxNG ._. What a noob....

  • @ParadoxNG and level grinding, don't forget the level grinding

  • @Luigiman217 Seriously? it was a cakewalk for me

  • @Luigiman217 Thats the point of a fucking final fantasy CHALLENGE. Would the game be fun if you just completed it in one continuous playthrough? NO it wouldnt.

  • @Luigiman217 Well, its not the games fault, you just SUCK SO MOTHAFUCKING MUCH, why do you even play the game, if you dont like it? why did you buy it? HUH??!!??

  • @Luigiman217 it may be a yr old, but NOOB.

  • I noticed that FF3 has two different battle themes. The NES Version (also DS version), and the SNES version. I personally like the SNES version better. :<

  • @goluigi10 my friend, dont be a fool. the snes version is actualy ff6 battle theme. how u ask? becuz the US released ff6 under final fantasy 3.

  • I like this game but I don't like FF in general... just... this one, the music and the console :]

  • Awesome battle theme x]

  • Sorry to say, I like the original theme more. This version is fine, but it loses some of the charm of the original.

  • Sounds like a mix between FF9 battle them and FF7 Sephiroth theme. Still cool though!

  • When you guys ( anybody ) says that you like or dislike a FF game, at least tell why :). If you say example that you dont like FF7 because of Vincent, you will probably get a hand down =p. At least, tell why you don't like something, like that ppl might agree with you :)

  • Ingus is the best person on the game!

  • out of all of the final fantasy's the was my leasttttttt fav ._.

  • least fave is 2 most fave is 5 :)

  • Comment removed

  • 1-6 are the best games. The rest... X_X for me, anyway.

  • this music remix is very succeeded WOAH :) can't stop listening to it ;) great music =) the original is cool too ^^

  • I like the original battle music better. This to crazy

  • Honestly, FFIII was my second least favorite FF game, but I like this battle theme.

  • what's your least favorite? Mine is IX. I just can't stand that game.

  • My least favorite is FFI, my favorite is FFIV. Mind you, I've only played FFI-IV, and hoping I can grab FFV eventually.

  • Wow you've only played the really old ones. Probably the remakes because the originals are well hard to find now. V is a rather carefree game that doesn't take itself too seriously and is generally pretty fun to play. Not too hard, not too easy. It's good. As for FFVI... well it's just hardcore. An incredible storyline excellent graphics great gameplay, characters. It's an amazing game.

  • 1 word, EMULATER

  • the worst was FFII, truly it was total shit

  • @Abyssion3 I unno.... X-2 was pretty bad

  • lol nobody liked IX

  • wonderfull theme ^_^

  • the rocking grounds rox!

  • shurikens pwn in this game

  • this theme... definately not the best, but on a scale of 1 - 10, it's an 8!

  • I would actually give it a 7. There are a large number of sidequests, which is fitting, but the majority of them actually depend on utilising the WiFi system of the DS.

  • ohhh thanks too much for share this!!!♥

  • i love final fantasy 8

  • Same! That's my favourite one!

  • Hmm, i like some of the other battle themes, but this one I don't care for. The final boss theme is kick-ass, though.

Also, I believe it was in this one that they decided to scrap the terrible leveling system of FF2 and go back to the traditional one of FF1.

  • I didn't think FF2's leveling system was bad. The only thing I didn't like about it is how Ultima at level 10 was weaker than Flare and the Elemental spells at level 8, My Ultima character has more INT than my Flare character, too.

  • Ancient reply but Ultima is a white magic. White Magic is based off of spirit and not intelligence.

  • @Tetsaga sure???

In every ff game its a black mage spell

    I don't know...

  • @RussianBozz91

Yes. Ultima has always been white magic. Flare and Meteor are the Black magic.

  • @PivotInvincible As I recall it, and I'm confirming this with the FF wiki, ultima is a black magic spell. Your probably thinking of Holy, which is one of the only offensive white magic spells throughout the series.

  • @PivotInvincible bs. Ultima is black magic, Holy is white magic.

  • Yes! This is the song I've been trying to find all over<3 I always thought I remembered it wrong, but I've played Final Fantasy 3 on DS for so many times I thought I'd recognize it even after a few years.
