  • Can anyone PLEASE write down what the speaker is saying? It's a little bit difficult for me to understand some words, but I want to use this for a presentation as a gap text. It would be veeeery kind and a huge help to me!

If someone could help me, reply on this comment or send me a message.

    Cheers! :)

  • The Dare Island Enigma is an adventure novel concerning the Tasmanian Globster that was foind in the early sixties see video book trailer

  • I've been to Hobart and stayed there for a while, but as I hear, people are logging too fast. Is that true? I got moved with the nature there.

  • @WINSLOVE1 i live in tas lol not all of them are shot dead but they will be all dead soon from the petrol sniffing

  • @rubixspoly There is some random little town called Straun but other then that you heard right. It's all just jungle and shit

  • @nickster1318 Nick, you illiterate bogan. please stay on the mainland, you probably wouldn't survive down here because as you said previously: "there's no train or red rooster". that is all.

  • @ajucgorutsuz

    I like it too.

  • The more Tasmania turns green politically, the less chance I will go there in the future!

If in the future it ends up being run bye greenies.....I will never set foot on that part of Australia ever again!

The capitalism grape vine is much bigger than Tasmania!

  • @MRMIL057

Oh get off ya high horse you maggot. God forbid that some people want the earth to stay alive.

  • Essefen.....Well someone's having a bad day, aye!

But its true, if Tasmania politically goes green, it will be a complete economical desaster for the state.

The State of Tasmania will fall and us mainland tax payers will not rescue it!

Tasmania will be a basket case.

  • @MRMILO57 - If it's economy implodes, then that is a good thing because it will spark revolution. Only thing is will Tasmanians be smart and educated enough to know which way to turn.

  • @germanicelt ....the capitalistic grapevine will distroy Tasmania if it chooses politcally to go green.

Basically, all welfare recipients will have their dole money cut off.

    Chaos will rain!

  • you know whats funny. the people who are saying dont go to tassie. probably live here. they are trying to keep it to themselves. which i completely understand :)

  • oh lol i forgot about tasmania

  • Tassie is a nasty place. don't go there

  • pffft no its not

  • why?

  • then chopper gets ya!

  • Very nice landscapes :)

  • I luv Queensland it's like Tassie but Hotter and bigger but I don't like the heat =). if I move to Tassie it must have the following

ADSL2+ or better, 21Mbps Next G, JB HiFi, Dicks Smiths, Retravision, McDoanlds, Hungry Jacks, Red Rooster, Subway, KFC, Big awesome Cinemas, Digital TV, Train transport etc basically all the things Mainland Australia has =)

  • has all of that except red rooster and train transport ;)

  • dsl2+ only through telstra

  • no train or reed roster

  • tassie rocks ! missed queenstown

  • Of course what they don't show is the terrible destruction caused by clearfelling and logging over 60% of the state with most of the timber going to wood-chips for export to Japan, feeding the profits of just one company, Gunns limited. They don't show the huge logging trucks causing havoc on the roads, the violent forestry workers attacking conservationists or the redneck attitudes of a vast % of the population. Tasmania is run by Gunns and the Forestry Dept - don't be fooled by this propaganda

  • Ther's no prpoganda in nature!

  • I do beg my pardon if i am incorrect but you sound like some elitist mainlander trashing Tassie again *rollseyes* Promotion.... as defined by thefreedictionarydotcom

    1. The act of promoting or the fact of being promoted; advancement.

    2. Encouragement of the progress, growth, or acceptance of something; furtherance.

    3. Advertising; publicity.

My point being as if they are going to portray a negative image of tasmania you fucking moron.

  • Also while I can agree with some aspects of your statement does not write off the beautiful scenery and wildlife here.

Tasmania is very progressive despite being boxed in and underated by Victoria and the rest of Australia all the time perhaps if we could increase tourism we would not need to rely on woodchiping and deforrestation so heavily.

btw when are you getting your 100mbps fibre optic internet oh yeah months if not years after Tasmania!

  • I hate that Gunns guy. We should turn him into woodchips. :)

  • Cheers mate, Tas is nice, just with they didnt log so much.

  • this is the state/country i want to visit! damn too bad im on the other side of planet

  • What a beautiful land, it looks like Swat of Pakistan.

  • I know the history of Tasmania, at least as far back as the records go.

I also find it very interesting that you included "race", no matter the order, since i looked at your profile and saw all the creationist nonsense there. Together with your username I'm guessing you're a white supremacist. Am I wrong?

  • So typical that a humanist has this left wing ideology that you do. I think it is really a religion of sorts.

I included race because that is part of a nations identity. Got a problem with that?

And I am guessing your definition of a 'white supremacist' even includes someone like me who believes that a nation should preserve it's racial identity, or else it will eventually not be a nation one day.

  • I hope Tasmanians are smart enough to break away from the Australian Republic when they eventually get it, and preserve their identity of culture, race and heritage.

  • Ok, I have to ask - which race do you want preserved here?

You've never been here, have you?

  • Well shit mate if you don't even know the heritage of the society your living in, or don't want know, then I don't think this conversation is going to get anywhere.

I do find it interesting that out of those three things, you picked 'race'.

  • I loved Hobart! Tazzy was a great place.

  • Thanks for posting =]
