Anyone who is under orders has to obey no matter how loving they appear to be, if a person is under the law of man he will hate who he is told to hate. Its what frustrated me the most growing up and becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses. The circular reasoning never stops you just spin and spin. By using terminology that has been given derrogatory implications by the WTS, the JW is trained to turn his or her mind off to anything that is said by anyone who is classified by the terminology. This is particularly true of "apostates" & "Christendom". And, as usual, they have given their own definitions to the terms. An apostate would be one who turns his back on GOD, not one who merely defects from the WTS! If anything, "apostates" can now serve GOD!!

Note that there were two conditions of the Slave - faithful/discreet and Evil. In order to convince you Jesus was talking about a group of men that would be in charge of his earthly belonging's the Watch Tower has had to 'add' meaning to these verses, to say its about them fulfilling the role.
What makes someone faithful and discreet? Would it be to have a history of failed predictions, darkening God's good name to outsiders? Its one thing to suggest a teaching but another to insist on it, Disfellowshipping any member that disagree's on those teachings.

How can you say the Governing Body does not benefit? They live in penthouses in the best part of Brooklyn, are flown all over the world and treated as royalty where ever they go. The best financial trick an individual can play is to remain separate from the income available to them.

Looks like you are the Watchtower's target audience. Might want to revisit basic sentence structure and grammer before your door-to-door presentation.
The Watchtower was rated one of the top 40 companies in NYC in terms of revenue, bringing in 951 million dollars per year. In addition they hold 200 BILLION dollars in real estate. For a small organization they are very financially shrewd. Yet when Franz left he had almost no bank account, no place to live, no pension plan to support himself after a lifetime of dedication to the organization. Hmmn... Salvation is by personal relationship with God, not membership in an organization.
My advice to you is to FIRST do a personal and prayerful reading and studying of the Bible before you EVEN think of getting baptized AS A JEHOVAH'S WITNESS. You should wonder why JW speak of their baptism this way.
The CORRECT way when speaking of baptism is to say that you are getting baptized AS A CHRISTIAN.
Heck, if they had everything absolutely perfect in their literature and beliefs that would mean that they were perfect, but no one is perfect yet. Knowledge, even knowledge of God doesn't come in a linear fashion. God has used imperfect people to carry out his purposes. In my opinion most of what other religions teach is far, far, far more full of theological holes than what the Witnesses teach. I am not a Witness and never have been.

They are free to figure out whatever they want to about theology, as long as no one is injured for following them. They are not free to coerce kids into refusing blood transfusions. They are also not free to cover up pedophilia just to keep "Jehovah's name" clean.
What is wrong, is that they have been repeatedly wrong on their proclaimed "truths" about the bible. They have gone against what the bible says, that "no one, NOT EVEN THE SON, knows the day or hour" of Armageddon. Yet, numerous times they have published the date, and admonished followers to not get married, or have children because THE END IS NIGH. And what about those that honestly want to worship God, yet don't believe everything the WTBS teaches? They get DF'd and lose their family.

Sure there are issues with JW theology, eschatology and history which they need to deal with by refining their doctrines, which they've been doing - and yes there have been immature conclusions published in their literature, but that doesn't change the fact that Armageddon is around the corner (by which I mean tomorrow, next year, 20 years from now, 100 years from now, 200 years from now). Now matter how you slice it or dice it we ARE living in the 'end times'.

I've never been one of Jehovah's Witnesses, so that nullifies your inaccurate assertions regarding me and what I'm about - plain and simple. More importantly, WTComments or the people/person behind the WTComments videos says he's an active member.
If we were to say: "The Bible is truly the inspired word of God but all other religious texts are false and not from God and are of no lasting value and actually are products of the Devil and God's wrath is upon those who believe such false religious texts if they don't change their beliefs" (as many reading this would agree), wouldn't we be setting up ourselves for the following: "You Bible believers make sweeping generalizations, using loaded language and fear fostering techniques?"
Propaganda is everywhere, especially in advertising. Fallacy becomes dangerous when it is used to bind minds in unswerving devotion to a group of imperfect men, in this case the Governing Body. Very few religions take such severe measures against dissenters as JWs do. Any such group begs scrutiny.

Yeah, we have no real idea of what the Governing Body bases their ideas on - we only have what they give us. So, basically, they're not being straightforward with us. I guess they think we can't handle the truth.

I find it sad that a group of such wonderful people with hearts of gold are so closed minded, but they are. As this video points out, they do not come to your doorstep to 'share' anything with you. Sharing impies an exchange of ideas and they are forbidden from accepting anything you say, however reasonable, if it's not acceptable to the WT society. "The Truth" is now identified as *the Organization* When a Jehovah's Witness says that he is "in the truth",he means that he is a member of the Organization. And if a person a person shows any criticism of *the Organization* it's the same as *criticising "The Truth".

This video shows perfectly their hypocrisy, by showing from their OWN literature that they are just as guilty, and shows how they, too use LOADED LANGUAGE and attack the messenger instead of examining whether the message is true.

By using terminology that has been given derrogatory implications by the WTS, the JW is trained to turn his or her mind off to anything that is said by anyone who is classified by the terminology. This is particularly true of "apostates" & "Christendom". And, as usual, they have given their own definitions to the terms. An apostate would be one who turns his back on GOD, not one who merely defects from the WTS! If anything, "apostates" can now serve GOD!!

2. Some points. I think if you dig deeper you will find that the WTBS thinks the 'faithful and discreet slave class', have more collective wisdom. I would recommend viewers form their own opinion based on the comparitive quotes in the video. Witnesses can be DISFELLOWSHIPPED if they are "questioning the counsel that is provided by God's visible organization." (WT 1/15/83 p.22) Sounds like mind control to me.

No. Because that article was referring to the Catholic Priests not allowing their members to read or gain Bible knowledge,which is what the missionary who narrated that article was referring to. Explaining what she had to overcome to preach to the people there.They were scared when they saw her Bible for fear of reprisal from their clergy,neighbors,etc.The WTS encourages us to read GOD'S Word The Bible daily.Excerpts from the article do not explain the meaning of the article.

The difference between the biblical heroes and the Watchtower is that when Noah built the ark the flood came. The Watchtower has so many failed prophecies and doctrinal flip-flops. To continue, also to note every individual gets train to sell or in modern times promote more of their published literature,this labor was of course done volunteer for free. This unfortuatly wasn't always the way it was done back in Russell's time the magazines and books were bought by true door to door salesmen who tried to make money in doing so by putting a mark up value on every piece of literature. So you can see the WTS started as a real business and not a non-profit organization.

It seems in every growing and expanding business where the structural engineers are living off the proceeds of that business, there seems to always be an inward need or desire for more money, not only for personal needs but to also help the business grow and in this case it was world wide.Essentially ever person to come into the flock brought more and more power placed in the hands who ever stood on top of the tower. what i ment was that when reymont franz left the JW eventhouth had the most power position in the organizasion he had in his bank account 600 dollars and he was forced to work in a groshery shop to make a living!!!! imagine....the ONE from the "EVIL" governing body the highest rank of command in the JW organization!!!!and this are not my words...its his and i think you know it!

The Watchtower was rated one of the top 40 companies in NYC in terms of revenue, bringing in 951 million dollars per year. In addition they hold 200 BILLION dollars in real estate. For a small organization they are very financially shrewd. Yet when Franz left he had almost no bank account, no place to live, no pension plan to support himself after a lifetime of dedication to the organization. Hmmn... Salvation is by personal relationship with God, not membership in an organization.

Heck, if they had everything absolutely perfect in their literature and beliefs that would mean that they were perfect, but no one is perfect yet. Knowledge, even knowledge of God doesn't come in a linear fashion. God has used imperfect people to carry out his purposes. In my opinion most of what other religions teach is far, far, far more full of theological holes than what the Witnesses teach. I am not a Witness and never have been.

JWs do not have a "linear fashion" of knowledge. Indeed, the record resembles a logical pretzle that JWs are forced to follow without dissent. That's the mind control exposed in these videos.

It's not about theological holes or differences in interpretation. The JWs use their faithful and discreet SLAVE members to MAKE SHIT UP.
After they have made it up, they inform the MASSES of their new RULES and say that it is God's WILL that they make up these rules.

In my opinion many things they've taught have stood up to scrutiny and those things that haven't are being reexamined and reexplained.

Infosurf .... Oh, yeah, it's ok for the Witnesses to teach false doctrine, ("docrinal shifts") but why don't they ALSO give some SLACK to the other churches who also have "doctrinal shifts"? But no! They accuse them of being "professed Christians" because they, too teach some error. So basically to prejudge others as being a "professed Christian", on the bases of their errors, is the SAME as the Governing Body judging themselves as "professed Christians" because they, too. teach error.

Neither they, as individuals, nor their leaders have ever really claimed to be 'inspired' - in contrast to the Mormon leadership, for instance. Witnesses have sometimes overstated their conclusions in their interpretations of Biblical prophecy, at times, throughout their history, yes, but that's all I've been able to garner from their literature. Their theologians at Bethel are still trying to figure things out things. What's wrong with that?

What is wrong, is that they have been repeatedly wrong on their proclaimed "truths" about the bible. They have gone against what the bible says, that "no one, NOT EVEN THE SON, knows the day or hour" of Armageddon. Yet, numerous times they have published the date, and admonished followers to not get married, or have children because THE END IS NIGH. And what about those that honestly want to worship God, yet don't believe everything the WTBS teaches? They get DF'd and lose their family.

I'll tell you what's "wrong" with it. Seeing that they now claim no inspiration, then they should STOP claiming to be "the Channel God is using to provide food at "the proper time" on His table".
Also, they contradict Jesus' own words. Jesus said that he IS COMING. He has been given King David's throne. This is an earthly throne. The GB now teach that Jesus IS NOT COMING but is staying up in heaven to rule from there. Where are the Scriptures to support this? There IS NONE.Matt. 24:30

Sure there are issues with JW theology, eschatology and history which they need to deal with by refining their doctrines, which they've been doing - and yes there have been immature conclusions published in their literature, but that doesn't change the fact that Armageddon is around the corner (by which I mean tomorrow, next year, 20 years from now, 100 years from now, 200 years from now). Now matter how you slice it or dice it we ARE living in the 'end times'.

If we were to say: "The Bible is truly the inspired word of God but all other religious texts are false and not from God and are of no lasting value and actually are products of the Devil and God's wrath is upon those who believe such false religious texts if they don't change their beliefs" (as many reading this would agree), wouldn't we be setting up ourselves for the following: "You Bible believers make sweeping generalizations, using loaded language and fear fostering techniques?"

Propaganda is everywhere, especially in advertising. Fallacy becomes dangerous when it is used to bind minds in unswerving devotion to a group of imperfect men, in this case the Governing Body. Very few religions take such severe measures against dissenters as JWs do. Any such group begs scrutiny.
