  • RIP ald man we love you!!!

  • Did you see that subliminal message @ the end?

  • my god, hands down the best magician of all time

  • turn your speakers down!

  • RIP headphone users

  • lost my ears at 0:00

  • you can learn this routine on michael vincents dvd rhapsodies in silver! i really recomend buying that Dvd and all the other in the seires!

  • The best that ever Lived.

  • wow, much smoother than my own, and i amaze people all the time with it, ide like to be THAT smooth with it, although if i was it would throw off part of my routine, because part of it is letting THEM figure it out, and then getting them again when they think theyve got it...

  • All of you guys putting up tutorials should pay attention to this clip so you can learn to hold the cards and perform the hype properly.

  • The Technique was 100 % perfect.

I loved the patter that explains the scam at the same time it fools u hard.

This is oldschool style, no showoff moves , card spin etc.

    just pure magic =)

  • Genius

  • is this routine on some of his revelations?

  • freaking crazy. He's got skills.

  • The quality of the sound its just great

    anyways

He is godfather of magic but In my opinion I think that magicians these days are better then Dai Vernon performing the techniques, still I give credit to dai for coming up with the techniques and starting from zero in magic and creating all the sleights

    Respect!

  • @TheGonzaloMagic the only close-up magician these day can compare with dai- vernon is juan tamariz. There are 3 ways to judge a magician. Creative, sleight or the presentaion. Who you found is better than mr. dai vernon? those " magician" only sell old stuff for newbie. wt they have created?

  • @AsherWong Juan is very good and may very well be the Spanish version of Vernon. But there is also John Carney. Michael Vincent, That are just as elegant or maybe even more so than Vernon was.

  • @RS1963 sorry for late reply. I agree John and Michael are both excellent magician. However, Dai vernon is not a good performer only. Many tricks mr. Vernon created have become classic, for example, Triumph and twisting the aces. Talking abt Juan tamariz, We know his stack work. And we still remember Paul Curry for his ootw. Well, Roy Walton for card warp and collector. um... It is hard to find a younger magician who can compare with mr. vernon, maybe, Pit Hartling? I dont know .

  • @AsherWong I'm sure there are a few other's that could be considered to be in the Vernon style. Paul Curry now there is someone I would have liked to have seen in person as well. I would love to meet Roy Walton. Any of the Flicking Fingers group is very good and yes Pit is a good example.

  • @RS1963 If you want to meet Roy Walton you can go into his magic shop in Glasgow and meet him, great guy.

  • i know how he does this trick but he does so smoothly that you start to think if you've learnt it right or not especially the last section when he bends the corner.

  • I like that fact that their is a bloody amazing piece of magic going on here, yet people are more concerned with correcting people over what cards he's using. And we wonder why people think magician are sad...

  • my father learnt me that trick. it was may first trick

  • Damn he Is Raw and he using Red Back bicycle he is to good cause I used Red back Bee cause it's harder to read the red card

  • Those are tally ho's and it doesen't matter which cards you you for this trick...

  • I have to Dis agree on that because with Bicycle there are some with a sharp eye that can catch you I know I took alot of people with Three Card monte lol

  • If you do it right no one can see you do the hype.

  • some feel that the borders make it easier to see the hype

  • no hes not hes using red fan back tally hos

  • he is using tally ho fan backs..

  • No, they're Tally Ho Zodiacs.

  • pretty sure they are fan bcks.

  • the quality is bad but if you look close the backs have 4 white circles, one at each corner, which fanbacks dont have... but zodiacs do.

  • hmm i guess you are correct!

  • @UnknownMagician93 I am such an idiot. Zodiac and fan back are the same thing !! I thought you said circle back. Sorry about that :)

  • @supahsekzy hah its okay man:D

  • strait...up...GANGSTA!

  • I love the bent corner phase... I wish i could execute with such grace.

  • love the audio on this one

  • @LoliRipe That must be why he was so amazing, he was a damn robot!

  • and thats why hes the professor

  • damn right

  • awsome :D

  • I'm guessing this was at the old Magic Cellar in San Francisco; does anyone happen to know the venue? Lots of good memories there, watching the prof., Martin Lewis, etc.

  • This was at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles. It was filmed for the Wonderama TV show in an episode where they visited The Castle.

  • he is such a genius and a legend...

  • i cant stop laughing, that was...well, i really have no words to describe it...

  • The skeleton is to remind us that Dai Vernon attempted to kill a heckler with his Pure sleight of hand.

He succeeded, the heckler had no clue what was coming.

All hail The Professor, DAI VERNON! : )

  • The original and the best

  • nice was about time that i learned how to do this trick... thanks professor!!!!! i have been a victim of this trick for years, and now that i know it, i realized the kind of nuuub i was.. lolz...

  • It is a great routine with a high entertainment value. Very nice to see the professor perform here this marvelous con game. Once learned you will be able to do it anyplace, anytime.

  • i cant under stand

  • Grammar.

  • wow 31 would be hard to pull off...if he did it any slower do you think they'd realise it's the same card he showed twice?...just wondering..

  • way better then stupid criss angel

  • I named my son Aidan DAI. The Professor is one of the most influential magicians to close up magic in history.

  • Normally, I would say where Dai Vernon has published this, but i think some things are better left unknown.

  • That's really interesting - never seen a move like he does at 31 seconds in before, very impressive.

  • This is interesting to see , but can anyone try remixing the sound on this ? (I know it's not your fault ; just an old recording that's full of static) . Would be great to see this with cleaned-up sound quality.

  • ok why a skeleton

  • wtf is up with the skeleton at the end :|

  • AARRRRRGGGGGH! My eardrums!

  • Wow... o_0 Vernon gets the REAL "killer" reactions...

  • An amazing mixture of the classic monte move mixed invisibly with the mexican turnover. You don't find card men like that any more, save for Jay or Ortiz

  • great sound quality!!!!!!!!!!!lol

    the video is good

  • I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!

  • dai vernon is a ledgend to the magic community, no trick is completely origional, its how you present it and how polished it is.

he didnt invent flour or sugar but he makes a mean apple pie.

  • i can do this lol =D

  • cuz he was older did it longer and put himself out there thats y. i havet yet but i will soon ;) lol

  • cuz he was older did it longer and put himself out there thats y. i havet yet but i will soon ;) lol

  • cuz he was older did it longer and put himself out there thats y. i havet yet but i will soon ;) lol

  • Good luck to ya fella - I look forward to reading your first Trilogy of card magic (but I won't hold my breath).

  • you can do this but only because HE invented this

  • Are u sure, prof. Dai Vernon invented 3 card monte?

  • 3 card monte is centuries old, unless Dai Vernon was here couple of hundreds of years go he didn't invent it.

  • Wow, I just love Dai Vernon Sleight of Hand they are so great and I read his book and it awsome

  • Dai Vernon, sleight of hand flawless. In my opinion the best magician ever...

  • 1:01-1:02

    o i see.

    LOL!!!

  • lolol it sounds funny XD

  • That audio hurts my ears. I recorded it into a sound editing program and attempted to do a noise removal to clean it up but it didn't work it's so bad. In fact, I was amazed to find that the result sounded exactly like R2-D2!!!

  • whats with the skeleton lady?

  • genius

  • It's a good video, and for those who claims that they know how. Pfft... Before you show proof, some of those ignorant people need to learn how to spell.

  • 2 things

    1st WTF

2nd what up with the skeleton at the end

  • the basic is not that hard but how to do it with a crimp in the card ??? Man I wish I knew how...

  • pssst...watch Dai's other hand while he's demonstrating the crimp.

  • damn thats smooth.

  • holy crap youre right that was the smoothest 3 card monte ever, even more than the Penguin magi one!

  • lol ur comparing Dai Vernon to Penguin magic?! lol That's like comparing War and Peace to Green Eggs and Ham!

  • i totally agree.

  • lol

  • or comparing it with ellusionist ;)

Hofzinser, Leipzip, Dai Vernon... all legend magicians.

  • incredible!O__O...the legend of 3 card monte!

  • shut up.

  • you're a fuckin moron buddy. Show some respect. This is one of the greatest magicians that ever lived.

Ps...just checked out your vid..if I could give it zero stars I would've.

    You're awful.

  • Unbelievable. Mr. Vernon was a monster

  • What a magician! He probably did that trick in his sleep! Thanks for posting that.

  • must....worship.....the.....masterof all card magiks

  • very smooth

  • It is not a matter of HOW he did it. Even if you know you don't SEE how he does it. GREAT manipulator.

  • i think i know how he did some of it

    applause

  • I'M NOT WORTHY! I'M NOT WORTHY!

  • hes a legend i am learning this trick but i wanna be like him when im older lol!

  • whao! master!

  • ok 1 this is amaizng ok dont get me wrong i love that guy hes nuts bt2 wtf was with the sound it was like idk mayb it was me but it sounded like he was in a room full of ppl

  • THANK YOU! a pleasure to watch a master! there's no mexican monte move, the move is a double hype (hope that explains it) if not full routine is explained in the inner card trilogy and in the dai vernon revelations video/ dvd series. Which are worth their weight in gold!! the Professor lost but not forgotten! R.I.P

  • wow..isnt that a combination of mexican monte and 3 card?

  • i thought i was good at that

  • Damn... That was too smooth...

  • ...there are no words to describe this.

  • qst è incredibile!

  • 3 card monte is possibly the most popular card con game however if u play on the street even if u know how its done its still near impossible to win if the person throwing the cards is good.

  • he was one of the best magician ever in my point of view. truly amazing.

  • He wasn't known as The Professor for nothing. Definitely one of the most influential magicians of the 20th century!

  • that dude is fuckin good!!! like, his sleight of hands is amazing. . .

  • silk at its most very silkiest

  • he is smooth.

  • this sleights were flawless.

  • DAI VERNON IS GOD

  • no habla nadie en cristiano por aqui este tio es el puto amo

  • Dai Vernon is the best, It's great to see the professor at work...

  • A ture master. He is what all magicans should aim to be. Everyone should feel turly honoured to just watch this genius at work. R.I.P.

  • The skeleton is there to remind us Vernon is showing us only the bare bones of the 3 card monte. :) Actually, the skeleton pops up at the end because it is the start of the next video segment and the audio on the Vernon part overlapped the next segment a little bit.

  • He is the best!

  • Yeah the sound was terrible, but the trick was awesome. Street tricks are awesome!!! thanks for posting

  • Dai Vernon is AMAZIN i LOVE his sleight of hand he is wiv out a doubt the professor
