nice vid. So the only mods are the 5043 prop and some weight to the tail? I ordered a 5043 and am waiting for it to arrive. I really hope it adds a lot more power than the stock motor.
You'll be amazed with the 5043 prop. It's my favorite prop by far for this bird. I'm not sure how many flights you have on your Suk, but there is a break in time on that brushed motor too. We're all so used to brushless systems which have no break in time.
What is the break in time? I have flown probably around 20 battery packs so far. Oddly enough I just checked my mailbox and the props are here!!! I ordered a couple 5043 and a couple 5030. And some prop adapters. Gona go try the 5043 now :) Hope it has more OOMPH now!
well. Tested out one battery with the 5043. For sure has more power now. Still has a slight problem with loops. A single loop now is easy(with stock prop was almost impossible), but multiple loops are still almost impossible. My sukhoi seems to do forward flips better than backword flips/loops. I can tell the plane is flying faster, and rolls are even faster! Def worth the upgrade, don't be using the stock prop again.
They are just standard size T-pins from an office supply store and they are for added weight. The only other "mod" I've done is using the GWS 5043 prop. It's the perfect prop for this plane. The T-pins are lighter than a dime.
Wow, you are a great pilot. Everything you do looks so natural, you almost blend into the birds!
Great video. I have a Sukhoi too, but not enough skill to do much but rolls and short inverted flight. I'm still learning (first 4 channel plane) and I'm on a DX5e, so low rates for me,

So the pins are for weight? Are they just sewing needles stuck in the foam? What exactly did you do?
