There are things in it that make people who were born in the 20th century, regardless of their background, think about what things used to be like. Things that we shouldn't forget, even if they make some of us uncomfortable. You can't ever become someone else, but you can try to imagine. Isn't that what a song is supposed to do?

@prelevich - They're not hard to find on line... Lots of sites have them posted.
The "words" are from a blog that was posted for Backstage, not the words of the lyrics. But I'm guessing you figured that out.
