It is true though (si I have heard) that Island Records tried to market this guy as the rough and ready, 'laddish' UK version of Justin Timberlake...

Such a shame when record labels try to fit their artists into some kind of mould, I know they have an audience to please, but music isn't some formula where you tick the boxes and you create a knock out performance...
