  • @patrose1231 ..WTF thts

    suppose to mean

  • @00TIDIS00 be more specific, there are different types of rappers,.. therefore there are different types of rap style..!!so wht im saying is jux bcz yu so cll "heard a particular rap " that, that rap is terrible,.. iiunderstand its an opinion but,yu should have gave a specific rapper and title or that rap yu heard was wack, players mess up, everyone have heard a song from different types of generes of music they enjoyed, s/o to that BASTARD..(not calling yu the bastard)

  • I smell a philosophy student.

  • hahaha he removed the video.....

  • can't spell rap with nigger........oh wait

  • RAP IS FUCKING TERRIBLE \m/THRASH TIL DEATH \m/

  • it does suck. grunge is better

  • I hate when people say electronic music (such as pop) isn't real music. It's composed as melodies, so it's music; just not produced naturally. Screaming metal isn't real music. It's just a guy playing guitar really fast with heavy distortion, a tattooed guy playing the drums like a toddler, and the vocals are demonic screaming with 2 note choices: high or low. I mostly listen to pop punk, but I like a catchy upbeat song once and a while.

  • I'm into any type of music. except for country and rock.

  • I would rather listen to country music than listen to rap shit.

  • If some1 asks me: what is the worst MUSIC genre I can not answer: rap. because RAP IS NOT MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! rap really sucks!! any1 can talk and make techno with some machine. METAL IS REAL MUSIC!!! metal is hard to play and metal is played with real instruments!!!!!!

    METAL IS BEST!!!!!!!!!

  • WU TANG CLAN AINT NOTHIN TO FUCK WITH

  • you people are talking about mainstream of everything. i love rap, but not the shit about sex, violence, drugs, etc. i love dubstep, but not the repetitive, extreme bass dubstep (ex. skrillex). listen to eminem for rap, listen to mt eden for dubstep. i can say the same for country, metal, etc. not all country is about god and how southern they are. not all metal is about death and creepy shit. dont generalize music.

  • Y'all gotta respect every god damn genre of music, there are good and bad rap songs and i can understand some people don't like it, BUT RESPECT IT, try to undestand a little, and if it still exists, it's because it's culturally relevent IMO. Oh and btw, don't compare it to dubstep, hip hop is a very large genre, dubstep is a sub-sub-sub-sub-genre of techno.

  • @nwhat31

How can you respect a genre of music that much of it promotes violence, crime and disrespect to women? This is part of the reason why black crime rates are much higher than any other ethnicity

I seriously doubt people who listen to opera, classical music or most other types of music become ghetto and commit crime at the rate that those who listen to rap do. And also as the video poster proved, almost ANYONE can do rap music. Talent isn't as important as it is in other music.

  • @JDubs878 First of all, look at the rates of black crimes BEFORE hip hop, i doubt it's much lower than now. And, people who listen to classical music are, most of the time, rich people. I don't see why they would act ghetto. I listen to a lot of rap, and i never commited any crime. Don't think rap promotes violence, because in this case, in a lot of opera, some characters kill each other, so that means to you people who listen and go to opera would kill each other?? come on man...

  • @nwhat31

The difference between you listening to rap and blacks listening to rap is that you probably look at it as entertainment while blacks take it more literally IE they look at those rappers with bling, the hoes and the way they speak and then they emulate them. That's the problem

I think bad black parenting and the bad enviroment they created for themselves along with black music and culture is what's holding blacks back from prosperity and being more civilized and less ghetto.

  • @JDubs878 I Disagree. What you are saying is stereotypical. I absolutely hate the fact that there are people who see the entire black community as being ghetto and uncivilized. It is narrow minded and ignorant. I can definitely see where you are coming from though. There are plenty of ghetto black kids. However, there are plenty of successful black people. Why wouldn't there be?

  • MrShawnDawn

I didn't say ALL blacks were bad and are criminals which obviously isn't true

HOWEVER its also naive for you to look at the crime stats and NOT see that for their small population they commit more crime and murder than most everyone else

I live in Toronto which has a multicultural population of 5+ million of which 352,000 are blacks or 7%. Yet so far in 2012, 6 of 8 murder victims are black and all gun crime have black shooters and you're telling me nothing's wrong?

  • This guy is the all knowing genius. Actually some people have better taste in music thus making them better at acknowledging the better music and it's complexity over the simpler one. It's like saying that healthy people aren't better than sick people,it's just silly, please stop being an average human with deep feelings and start thinking damn it.

  • well dubstep is the best.

  • 1:46 THAT'S JUST EXACTLY WHAT I SAID

  • @Airsoft7695 3 worst music 3.rap 2. Dubstep 1. Pop

  • @dmeshelljr idk about u but dubstep is one of the most listened to song of 2011 and 2012 and its quickly rising and quess wat in europe dubstep is the number 1 most listened to genre of music BITCHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Rap doesn't suck it's just the 2nd worst kind of music in front of god damn dubstep

  • Comment removed

  • rap is the best

  • Opinions CAN be wrong. Racism is an opinion. Sexism is an opinion.

  • @ThatWeirdo04 you mean morally wrong

  • @IBitchSLAPYourAss Is there a difference? Wrong is wrong.

  • @ThatWeirdo04 Rap sucks balls though

  • all of you are ridiculous...Music is fucking music people have their own likes and dislikes get over it. NONE OF THESE GENRES WILL DIE so you guys arguing over how both of them suck or how they are superior to one another are wasting precious life time. Go study for your future or something maybe?

  • Unfortunately rap will never be less enjoyed. I don't enjoy it myself but people have the right to listen to whatever makes them happy. No matter how terrible it sounds...

  • I beg you all to listen to krs one-mcs act like they know eric b and rakim-follow the leader canibus-master thesis run dmc-its like that ra the rugged man-lessons house of pain-fed up that is good hip hop/rap i didnt like hip hop either before i knew about these groups/mcs

  • Rap isn't even music

  • Fuck you, WIGGER!!

  • pop and techno ftw

  • @jmoak14 pop is bull shit you only eat what the mainstreem feeds you shit.

  • @TrueSomename your profile pic proves that only black ppl like rap.

  • @jmoak14 what the fuck does that have to do with anything you don't know shit about rap, there is no such thing as ''black people'' or ''white people'' there is human race that is all but anyway since society turns everything to a racial issue/dispute i am going to inform you i am a cuacasion, hip-hop has nothing to do with racism, people like you get that mixed up, i only put this pic up because it looked funny.

  • @TrueSomename there is such thing as black and white people. r u retarded?

  • @ryanstringfling no actually they are brown and we are well i forgot the name.

  • Classic rock and blues. Thats all I need.

  • @thrashmetalsuport nowadays it doesnt but in the 90s it did. Rap has taken an awful turn for the worst, ever since biggie and tupac died

  • the thing is though rap really does suck nowadays and its honestly socially acceptable to say so because all anyone raps about now is their money bitches or cars. and honestly if u like soulja boy u r a fool all he does is mumble some words and repeat them over and over. when someone says they like rap usually they mean biggie, tupac or ice cube, because they rapped about real shit going on in the world. they were somewhat inspirational and actually told a story

  • He makes a good point though I strongly suggest that you shouldn't get kids addicted to rap but you should monitor on what they watch and listen to rap pretty much is almsot all the seven deadly sins *no offence* but the other music isn't all that good too. Some sing about suicide and how horible the world is and other about demonic worship but it rare you'll comeoupon demonic worship so put that in your mind and think it over

  • @pomowokbeaster i am 14 and i listen to real hip-hop not that mainstreem shit they feed you on the raidio, hip-hop is one of the most influential genre of all time, i was actually going through a phase of over-confidence until i found out the true message of hip-hop it is indescribable how complex hip-hop is, i suggest real hip-hop (RA the rugged man,wu-tang clan and ryhmsayers) and lots more but certanly not lil wayne or souja boy.

  • @Decimate92 Eminem isn't the only one that has "something to say" check out Common, Nas, Jedi Mind Tricks, 2Pac, Oukast, Public Enemy, Eyedea, etc. there are other rappers with meaning in there songs.

  • @MRjmoboy wow nice list man love those rappers we can't forget canibus and big l those are real rappers not these fake ones.

  • look at my video it proofes rap takes no tallent

  • Simplifying everything. Sad. Fuck Rap. Love Live the Metal.

  • Nobody likes souljah boy that likes hip-hop, thats like saying rock/metal or w/e is nickleback instead of Nirvana

  • Dan brown i agree with you man music is bout music there once was time where the music you had to choose was either piano or really piano people dont take in account that we are blessed to have serveal different types of genres of music today. Due to thank the people that allowed us (as americans) to have freedoms like freedom of speech which allows people to be who they see themselves to be. I approve this message( payed for by the campaign of Obama) hahahahahahahahaha

  • I am into pretty much any music BESIDES RAP! I dont really even consider it music. It is made popular by criminals who are too stupid to relate to real music, and live by the lyrics in the songs. Every song is the same and it is all just stereotypical crap!(the same could almost be said about modern country music)All you need to do to write a rap is rhyme. They are a bunch of crack selling, money flaunting scumbags. Music isnt art anymore, its just entertainment.

  • @bongchoker great job! describing the fair majority of modern hip hop, check out the , treacherous three, crash crew, sugarhill gang, funky four plus one more, kurtis blow, spoonie gee, and grandmaster flash and the furious five. these are 1st gen hip hop artists and they did not do those things they were great rappers with a nice amount of skill(gets even better in the next generations), neither did the next 3 or 4 gens of hip hop to that extent that you are describing

  • Stop bitching bitch !

  • Sounds like more relativism...

  • i think even country music is better than rap....

  • @DeepestBlueJ Country music is better than mainstream rap

  • @DemonOverlordful I don't like country. It's sort of boring to me. I prefer faster music like hard rock, punk rock, melodic hardcore, and even some dubstep. It's exciting. It's deep.

  • @SBubbaW Yeah but I think Old school Rock (70's and 80's) is even better IMO or Rock and Roll. But the reason why I like country is because it's something to sit back and relax and to smoke weed to.

  • @DemonOverlordful i would take the best of any genre over mainstream anything

  • @layner3123 LMAO!!! Amen! Nuff said!

  • @DeepestBlueJ Well, this is all a personal preference. For example, since I listen to underground rap, I would personally believe that rap is better than country. However, this does not mean I think country is bad. It's a good genre and for that reason, I believe it has people who like. In the end though, it all comes down to personal preference. If assumptions dictate why you like or dislike a genre, then I shall believe that those people are fools.

  • @DeepestBlueJ country music has been dead since posers like garth brooks and taylor swift decided that mixing in pop with the genre was a good idea. OLD country is the bomb

  • looks like dude lives in a preschool

  • @lexykeikei check out they reminisce over you, now that we found love, i need love, if i ruled the world(imagine that), dear mama, juicy, the ghetto, and the message, then get back to me and tell me if you spot any of that stuff....

  • rock has legends rap has has beens.

  • @mellenhrad run dmc, a tribe called quest, slick rick, biz markie, kool g rap, big daddy kane, grandmaster flash and the furious five, nwa, eazy e, dr dre, snoop dog, ice cube, tupac shakur, notorious big, big l, big pun, common, nas, eric b and rakim, beastie boys, whodini, wu tang clan, etc....

are they not legends? i love the beatles, eric clapton, the kinks, thr rolling stones, elvis presley, chuck berry, etc but rap has many legends too

  • Comment removed

  • @raqrelph many people can freestyle and have raw punchlines as good as Big L, rarely any people can switch flows every 10 seconds but manage to stay on beat like Tech N9ne, rarely any people can flow like Elzhi or Biggie, rarely any people have storytelling abilities and impact on a genre as much as Tupac, the list goes on.

  • @MRjmoboy I can respect that. I appreciate your argument! Rather than calling me names and getting all offended, you can make a legitimate argument and try to convince me, rather than piss me off. That's the way it should be, in my opinion anyway :)

  • @raqrelph s of any genre, they are very simple. Rappers/MCs such as Canibus, Chino XL, Nas, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, etc. have very complex lyrics that is very difficult to write and in most cases, takes an intelligent person to understand the lyrics. Search 100 bars by Canibus, Poet Laureate Infinity v004 by Canibus, Wordsmith by Chino XL, Thieves in the Night by Black Star. Try freestyling on top of your head for at least 5 minutes as good as Big L or Eminem (search up their freestyles). Not too

  • @raqrelph I'm glad that you're open minded enough to search up those songs and enjoyed them I appreciate that, as for Eminem he's one of my favorite MCs but he did made graphic songs such as 97 Bonnie and Clyde and Kim but that is part of his alter-ego Slim Shady, who is extremely violent and graphic and scares the crap out of you but he has serious songs such as Sing for the Moment, Lose Yourself, Like Toy Soldiers, When I'm Gone, etc. but I dis agree about anyone can rap, if you look at lyric

  • 2pac rap poetry.....nwa stand up for black people rights like public enemy.......theres alot of rappers that send a messge to the world i like rap and listen to it 80% percent the time if not i listen to slow rocks or rnb or techno yes i said techno btw god

  • dude, rap is horrible. every single song is about drugs, gang fights, fucking,.....and that's it.

no message, there's music that comes from a computer, and there's terrible voicing or autotuning.

  • @mrpuppyman damn your stupid, thats the majority of current hip hop, try out gangstarr, eric b and rakim, boogie down productions, and a tribe called quest, then tell me it comes from a computer, study up on how turntablism works and maybe you wont be so ignorant about how dj's produce the beats for the rappers to layer theyre words to it and how the rhytmic pattern(aka flow) sounds. the guys i mention dont talk about those things let alone even swear in a song

  • @travis92x yeah well i'm sorry i'm "stupid" because i've never heard of those people. maybe try asking me if i've heard of those people instead of immediately calling me stupid. asshole

  • @mrpuppyman you know what i apologize, if anyones the asshole here its me :p i can recommend some artists for you if you'd like, and again sorry, i was just frustrated is all

  • my problem with rap is the attitude. with rap, its always "bitches on my dick i smoke weed im so rich" its very me me me. Its all about how shallow and "cool" they are

  • @guitarshred32 again, thats the majority of CURRENT hip hop, the genre as a whole is NOT like that at all, try black moon, the pharcyde, digital underground, or de la soul

  • i love how people think that older hip hop is somehow the minority of the genre and new hip hop is the majority, do your homework and learn about some legit hip hop groups, you will find heaps among heaps of good artists in between 79-99, thats 20 years...hardly a minority of the genre if you think about how many artists came and gone in that time frame....and most MODERN hip hop may suck, but if you look you will find some decent stuff(lupe fiasco, saigon, and tyler the creator to name a few)

  • People shouldn't fight about music. Music is meant to be a universal language in which even people from different walks of life, just by listening, can tell a lot about a person, almost speaking to them in a way, and make them experience moods. It's cool to see all the different types of music out there, if there was just one type, life would be boring. /end rant.

  • Run DMC, NWA, a tribe called quest, black moon, nas, gangstarr, public enemy, sugarhill gang, kurtis blow, grandmaster flash and the furious five, snoop dogg, ice cube, dr dre., mc lyte, queen latifah, the fat boys, monie love, roxanne shante, boogie down productions, the pharcyde, pete rock & cl smooth, whodini, the beastie boys, the treacherous three, eric b and rakim, kool g rap, big daddy kane, ice t, kid frost, wu tang clan

unless you have heard of these artists, shut the fuck up

  • @travis92x the beastie boys, Run DMC, and wu tang clan are the only good artists you named. The rest suck

  • @LoboFan1000 how do you even figure the rest suck when you probably havent even heard of most of these artists......

do me a favor, check out these following songs and get back to me

new rap language(1980), they reminisce over you(T.R.OY.)(1992), I used to love H.E.R(1994), friends(1984), follow the leader(1988), superrapin'(1979), runnin(1995), the breaks(1980), criminal minded(1987), the symphony(1987) try telling me those suck, idiot....

  • RAP SUCKS DICKS!!!!! SO DOES EVERYONE THAT LIKES IT, DON'T TRY TO HIDE YOUR SEXUALITY!!!!!!!1

  • This stupid Cracker needs to get off the RItalin. Future welfare case.

  • fucking Catholic

  • Yes, sir. Rap does suck.

  • You may have an opinion, but you're not the only one...

  • lol i love how we pretty much talks with is hands

  • This guy...

  • this world is an opinion

  • There is one fact that makes rock better. The Beatles

  • @raqrelph I personally like all music but do me a favor, listen to these songs:

Uncommon Valor by Jedi Mind Tricks

    Jesus Walks by Kanye West

    Kenji By Fort Minor

    Yesterday by Atmosphere

    Stan by Eminem

What they do by The Roots (They us instruments)

    Then tell me rap sucks.

  • @MRjmoboy Uncommon Valor > Instrumentals are repetitive and computerized, however, the song has a great message.

Jesus Walks> Pretty much sounds like it was written by a 5 year old. Also has a good message though.

Kenji> Although the song has guitar in it, the instrumental is, again very repetitive. Good lyrics again :)

Yesterday> Definitely the best one! I like it! I may even download it!

Stan> Ugh, don't even get me started on Eminem. It's a love, hate relationship. I listened to him a lot...

  • @MRjmoboy cont... as a kid. As an adult, going back and listening to songs like '97 Bonnie and Clyde, I am only disgusted by him.

What They Do> Nice! Good instrumentals. Good lyrics. I like that they show off their vocal talents as well.

Thanks you for sharing. Although, honestly these songs do sound very much alike and I still stand by the fact that just about anyone could write a rap I like what they stand for and indeed, some are more talented than others.

  • @MRjmoboy read my last post first

  • As a musician I can confidently say that rap does suck. It takes very little talent to make a rap. Not only are rappers virtually talentless, but most rappers (not all) are sexist, racist, homophobic, etc., and IT ALL SOUNDS THE SAME! I am extremely disappointed in the popularity it has gained over the years. Open your eyes to true talent people!

  • @raqrelph Lol. You obviously listen to that bootleg rap.

  • @raqrelph Only a racist would suggest this absurd notion.

While I believe Rap does suck, how do you just catagorize them all as being gay or racist? You ound like the racist and not only that, they probably get more bitches then you do too.

  • @tysonrss You said I categorize all rappers as being gay and racist? I said "MOST rappers (NOT ALL), are sexist, racist, HOMOPHOBIC, etc." I am a female and I am married to a woman. I go home every night to the same person and don't need or want anyone else, nor do I care how many "bitches" (a sexist statement) anyone else has. Your comment to me was very ignorant. You don't know me. Not to mention the fact that I made an argument about rap, not people who listen to it.

  • @raqrelph

as a musician you should apreciate all types of music. Im a musician too and cant rap at all. Its poetry and just bc they cant play instaments doent mean they arent lyricaly talented. P.s. IM talking about 90' early 00' rap

  • @slbusta1023 Yes, I do appreciate the lyrical part of some rap. The thing that bothers me the most about it is that it takes the average person maybe a week to write a rap, beats, lyrics, the whole shebang. Good rappers can "bust a rhyme" or whatever off the top of their head. Thats totally awesome! I can't make a good rhyme off the top of my head. I totally have respect for that! Just as I have respect for poets, beatniks, whatever you want to call them. But while rap stars are making millions

  • @raqrelph off of talking about their bitches and hoes, there are musicians that have spent YEARS mastering their instrument, and are struggling to survive.

  • I KNOW you're going to argue that not all rappers write about bitches and hoes, and I totally understand that most of it is just the mainstream stuff, and I have to say I feel really, really sorry for the good rappers out there that are totally ruining it for the rest of you.

  • @raqrelph Lol, listen to some MF DOOM, Rakim, Big L, Aesop Rock, Eyedea, Slug, Big Daddy Kane, GZA, KRS-One, LL Cool J and look at their lyrics and then tell me it takes no talent. If you're a musician, you're an ignorant one.

  • @iArt1st Yes, VERY lyrically talented, but also very repetitive and honestly, they all sound the same to me. Maybe it's because I don't listen to enough of it to be able to tell the difference. I wouldn't say I'm an ignorant musician. I've listened to plenty of rap and I'm just making a judgement based on what I hear. It's not just rap either. I judge all music. If you like it, cool. I can respect that.

  • @raqrelph I think that if you say you don't like rap you arne't listening to the right music. soulja boy lilb not rap.

  • @raqrelph Its all about youth wanting to be into whatever is "wrong" or different from what the last generation did. That used to be how people would speak of rock. But getting into the late 80s all these guys started coming out of the slums "rapping" about selling drugs and "fucking bitches" and how much money they have and how badass they are bc they break the law.(that is every rap song in a nutshell right there)Adults hated it, so kids loved it. And now its grown into this horrible slop.

  • @raqrelph The only rapper I like is eminem. He actually has something to say.

  • @Decimate92 you clearly dont know much about rap then.

  • Soulja Boy is god awful, a terrible example of a rapper he is the worst rapper ever, try Nas, Rakim, 2Pac, Big Pun, Eminem people with actual skill.

  • Comment removed

  • I applaud this video! Well spoken.

  • I want say rap is bad music, but it is incredibly simple and requires far less talent compared to most other forms of western music, and yes, all Black music is Western, not African, in case there are those who don't realize this.

  • @ATENakaATON Incredibly simple? Bad music?? Hmm...once again, I see someone is using the material put forth on BET, MTV, VH1 & FM radio when passing judgment on my genre of choice. 3 examples of incredible Hip Hop music:

    /watch?v=U1jCkXck_lU&list=PL944766BDE6FF61C4&index=10&feature=plpp_video

    /watch?v=Gnejsdojw7w&list=PL944766BDE6FF61C4&index=19&feature=plpp_video

    /watch?v=_QlTRkpSBkY&feature=related

Note: very little if any profanity in the three links I've given you.

  • @tonyGjr2 First I'll start by stating I did listen to all three and was not impressed in the least, very simple stuff. Cannabis didn't know what he was talking about, he was simply forcing words related to a low level of understanding of the mystery schools together, Apathy was trying to speak on things he obviously didn't understand, probably read The Prince and thinks he knows a thing or 2, the last one I found flat out corny and couldn't stop rolling my eyes.

  • @ATENakaATON Second and last things is, it is not the concepts or lyrics which I'm referring to which make rap simple as a form of music. The Four Bars repeated to make a verse then a hook is incredibly simple and boring. Music was meant to be more than a backdrop for a poem, look at Opera as a genre, they seem to be able to do a lot more with a story than rap music.

  • @ATENakaATON Well...At least, you listened to it. In saying that, I just going to have to say I disagree with you vehemently. I'm fairly certain *Canibus* knows about cymantics & Ghostface's "All that got is You"...corny? Yeah, well just leave this conversation right here & now.

  • I don't hate rap but if you like soulja boy you might as well fucking kill yourself.

  • music is something that comes from the heart.

rap however comes from a machine, therefore is not music, therefore sucks

  • I just think he's pointing out the obvious... i mean anyone who disagrees is a retard.

He's waisting time making this video as am i writing this comment.

I mean anyone disagreeing is fucking naive and can't have his or her mind changed. period

  • oh and by the way i listen to rap & have no prblem with people who listen 2 w/e kind of music... like said in the video it's just a matter of taste & it doesn't make you a better person listening to some kind of music SO stop saying rap aint shit 'stead rather write i think/feel rap aint shit. That's your right but don't say it aint shit.. a lot of people 'll disagree, including me. u can't tell me every rock band's dope? most of em suck 2 that's why you listen 2 a select group as i do in rap

  • @scarlip1990 I can't understand a thing you're trying to say... like I can't understand most rap out there. When you say "Rap aint shit" you're saying "rap is not bad"? Are you five years old? You're grammar is terrible.

  • @raqrelph dude? you're bitching bout grammar on youtube? can't help it your ignorant brain can't process what it receives! people who say: rap aint shit.. or rap is bad (however you wanna put it) are just stupid. 'Cause when you say it aint; that means that it is not (right mr grammar?) & that's really a matter of opinion. So dude i don't understand U coming at ME with this. i mean i'm making a point here, you're bitching about grammar? guess the "i get it" train just past and you missed it

  • @scarlip1990 Funny you mention ignorance because your entire message to me was ignorant. First of all, someone who is ignorant would assume I am a dude, and would not even care to look up ain't in the dictionary. Second of all if you look up "ain't" in the dictionary, it says "am not; are not; is not." You said "Rap ain't shit" which actually means "rap IS NOT shit", not "Rap IS shit" because ain't AGAIN means IS NOT. Looks like you're the one who missed the train!

  • @raqrelph ok so basically because YOU can't understand something that makes it bad?? Maybe it's because you are so outside of the culture and alot of the lyrics are culturally exclusive. fucking ignorant dick.

  • @ChrisDSingh87 By Culturally exclusive, you mean the dumb, lazy, welfare culture.

  • @ChrisDSingh87 Did I ever say I didn't understand it? I understand music very well. I have actually taken the time to study music in and outside of school. You're calling me ignorant, yet you also call me a dick and make assumptions about me. Sounds like YOU are the ignorant one.

  • @raqrelph you dont understand it just by studying conventional music ''in and outside of school'' dumbass, you have to understand the culture to understand rap music - and you are obviously on the outside looking in. Most rap is also about political and sociological issues, if you think rap sucks you obviously dont even understand those two simple concepts

  • @ChrisDSingh87 Culture is only a part of what makes music what it is, and yes, I do understand the cultural and social issues behind it. Like I said, I've done my research. I have total respect for the cultural and social issues. If anything that's one thing I respect about rap. Look man, don't get so offended. I'm sorry, maybe you're right. Perhaps I went a little overboard in saying rap isn't music. Just because it's not music to my ears doesn't mean it isn't music. I listen to some things...

  • @ChrisDSingh87 I suppose people wouldn't call music either. Punk rock is very similar, they yell out social issues and play repetitive power chords on the guitar but it's still music. Anything can be music.

  • @ChrisDSingh87 You're kind of a jerk though. You really didn't need to call me a dick and a dumbass. That's not really the best way to get your point across.

  • Rapping WAS an artform that has been exploited to the point where its not even music anymore.. It was amazing back when rappers used poetry to convey opinions, now in the mainstream world its fucking stupid.. Too many people dickriding both sides.. I have Nirvana and Nas in the same playlist. Enjoy the music

  • Rap isn't shit, the rappers themselves are shit. For the most part, anyway.

  • There never was good rap. There is no good rap. And there never will be good rap. Rap sucks cock.

  • so a guy that doesn't understand hip hop at all says rap sucks...whats new?

  • @ChrisDSingh87 So a guy that doesn't understand music at all says "Rap is music"... what's new?

  • @raqrelph really? u must be some arrogant death metal fan. me, im a beatles fan, a rolling stones fan, a massive attack, lamb, robert johnson, miles davis, ela fitzgerald, metallica, opeth, fuck the list goes on....and i consider rap brilliant music....you are just some ignorant dick who listens to watered down rap and judges it based on that. It's like me calling nickelback hardcore metal. you dont deserve ears.

  • @ChrisDSingh87 BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!!!! Metal? Really? Please stop making assumptions about me.

  • I'm so glad you listen to all the music you listed! That's just fantastic! The thing is, I don't really care! You're message to me only proved 3 things... sorry make that 4.

    1. You listen to music.

    2. You have the tendency to be a hypocrite.

    3. You have a tendency to be ignorant.

    4. I am wasting my time talking to you.

    End of conversation.

  • @raqrelph you sure you're not listing things about yourself? Pretty sure if anyone has shown ignorance here it's you buddy. Also, im sorry for making assumptions about you, but are you going to act like ''someone who doesnt know anything about music says rap is music' - your initial comment, isn't an assumption?

  • Not all rap music lacks sophistry and "musicianship," just as not all rock music have those qualities.

  • That awkward moment when your iPod doesn't show annotations

  • bl00dblitz is the shit

  • I see your air filter

  • Good video, although I think at this point it is not only expected that people have an opinion, but it should also be expected that people will hate other peoples opinions for whatever reason. Especially if they vastly differ from their own. So really calling people out for calling other peoples opinions out is just as pointless as the original callout. Not everyone can agree to disagree. Furthermore, I dont think people arguing on the internet about music tastes constitutes as fighting.

  • I'm in The law enforcement field/criminal street gang division. I can most certainly tell you, that out of all the little thug pieces of shit, i encounter daily, The vast majority of them, are motivated by the whole rap music culture. Hell, even some of the famous rap artists, have ties to some gangs. Look it up. I thought this shit would go away like disco, but it's hung around like a terd that won't flush. Drugs, killing, prostitution, is all these assholes sing about. RAP REALLY DOES SUCK!!!

  • oh so rock isent good? ozz fest 99! look it up!!

    rap dose suck!

    slipknot all the way....

  • Rap sucks, rock rocks. RIP Curt Cobain, Ronnie James Dio, Cliff Burton, Jimi Hendrix, Jerry Garcia.

Rap stars steal other peoples music takes no talent. Burn in hell rapstars

  • Some whites post videos on YT sayin' raps sucks (prefer old skool hip hop personally)

...but the majority of ppl buying this music is WHITE kids !!

  • So wait, you say that Buckethead has greater MUSICIANSHIP than Soulja Boy and yet you can't understand why someone would therefore say he's a better MUSICIAN? It's plainly obvious that Buckethead is an outstanding musician, and I personally don't even like him all that much. My personal tastes are irrelevant. I personally don't care for Buckethead but I simply cannot deny that he's a much better musician than all the rap artists, especially Soulja Boy.

  • I have a completely different view of music now!
