I felt sorry for Ready For The World and their third album "Ruff N' Ready". It was a great record, but was overlooked because of what came out on MCA Records in 1988. They were up against Eric B. & Rakim's "Follow The Leader", Guy's self-titled debut album, New Edition's "Heart Break" and Today's self titled debut (Motown was a part of MCA at the time). Basically, they didn't stand a chance!

If anyone has this album in their collection, dig this one out and play it from start to finish!!!

By the way, Ready For The World's album should have been up there with those records I mentioned, but they were up against some stiff competition. MCA Records should have released "Lately" as a single, as much as it was played during quiet storm hours, LOL!
