  • MrDylan997 kurt and dave liked metal much

  • Hi Axl! Hi Axl! Hi Axl!

    Yeehh great cover

  • This is a very good cover. Scott Weiland is simply awesome.

  • I think the point of doing this song was because Scott was also big in the 90's

  • pretty good not good enough screaming though

  • I approve :)

  • This is absolute garbage. These sold out 80's bands are everything that Kurt hated. The fact that they covered one of his songs makes me sick.

  • @MrDylan997 exactly

  • @MrDylan997 You really are pathetic. There's no fucking way you'd ever know what Kurt Cobain would have wanted. Having Scott Weiland, one of Courntney's old heroin buddy's and a friend of Kurts covering this timeless classic would and should make anyone proud.

  • @urAmoron44 LOL

  • This song makes me want to shoot guns.

  • I love it. Sounds very punk influenced. The ending reminds me of The Butthole Surfers.

  • Holy fuck. This has POWER.

  • Fuck it 6 guys to play nirvana's cover, not even close...........

  • axl rose is a negative creep

  • xD haha really good way to make axl mad xD it's good but no cover can ever beat an original =P but it's nice to hear it

    <3 Nirvana <3 R.I.P. Kurt Cobain <3

  • way to modified to be worthy of being compared to be nirvana

  • axl sold out

  • I don't care what you guys think, I think this is an amazing cover

  • This is way to clean.

  • velvet revolver fucking shit on guns n roses mainly because axl isnt in it

  • IM A NEGATIVE CREEP AND IM STONED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT STILL LIKING NIRVANA'S VERSION BETTER

  • sounds like everything u hear on the radio, kurt cobain was to original your embaressing yourself

  • Velvet revolver, you guys are OK musicians but your band is for douchebags. nuff said.

  • yeah fair play to these guys, the cover is ok but no matter how hard you play or how much strain you put in your shout......you will never beat the original!

  • Good version! End of !

  • This is a good cover, but Kurt Cobain had the devil in him, these guys...just....um... don't.

  • Man, I arrived here from a Nirvana video... this is utter shit.

God - way to miss the point, glam rock douchebags.

  • Good COVER ...That is true : )

  • this version is boring

  • Comment removed

  • I'm sorry but this is not music.

  • @MyHairyBreasts uh. Obvious troll is obvious.

  • YOU MUST BE FROM MARS.

  • Original is definitely MUCH better.

And axl is a fage, and .....

  • @grunge1421 and slash too. guns and roses were just a comercial shity band.

  • they did this only to make axl really angry ahahahh

  • ironic shit ,axel´s friends playing a song of his enemy,i think everybody hates axel after all.

  • Kurt hated Axl, Krist hated Duff (Duff threatened him). BUT, Dave played drums and sang a song on Slash’s new album, so...

  • I don't think kurt had any real negative feelings toward any band in particular but a negative vibe against the redundancy that happens when one style or another becomes overly popular. And anyway, who really gives a shit. Kurts music struck a chord, #1 it was new and different and #2 a new generation was listening. Difference between Nirvana and GnR was Axles EGO. All nirvana members seemed humble and a bit sarcastic to make interviews fun! things don't have to be sooo serious... but fun!

  • appreciate this slash...

  • one of the most underrated song of nirvana

  • Not a bad cover. Not as good as Nirvana, but still good in its own right.

  • WooWWWWW Amaizing song got Power and can smash everything

  • slash is just to clean compared to kurt

  • @MrDeamon1 well this was recorded like 15 20 years after bleach on way better equipment

  • @MrDeamon1 Yeah, slash is clean. But you have to realize, there is 2 guitars playing here (Velvet Revolver). Kurt played this song by himself (Nirvana),. And I dont think the song was meant to be "clean" it was meant to be grungy, load, and appauling:).. Just my opinion. At any rate, a great tribute to Kurt.

  • @MrDeamon1 slash is a to comercial guy, compared with bleach

  • @MatoSilverati too*

  • Axl loved Nirvana untill Kurt dissed his mainstream band.

  • fuckin brilliant, and im not really a big fan of velvet. i am a nirvana groupie though, haha :) i love slash anyway but this is an amazing cover and great to see GNR members covering it

  • This is better than most Nirvana covers I've heard. Still no where near as good as Seether's covers, but good none the less.

  • ok this is sick, but nirvana's version is sicker

  • This version is cool simply because first, Slash is playing, second you have a 90s icon in Scott Weiland covering another 90s icon in Kurt Cobain. It's cool to see, especially if you are a fan of both bands. I'm not going to argue that this version is better, but it's just cool to hear. In an alternate world, if Scott died, Kurt would probably be covering "Plush."

  • This is not Velvet Revolver. Never.

  • @vitorteodoro85 its nirvana dude

  • wow, good, version, great version ,why?,because unlike a lot of other great bands, when doing a song they will try to make it theres and tweek it in certian areas.well imagine all that ego and talent on one stage and they had enough inner peace ,gratitude for kurt to just leave it and whale the hell out of it.kurt would be quite happy with this one.he coulda just as well been on stage with'em .his daughter should be up there singing with a bain played guitar for total homage..well done gentlemen .

  • Sorry but no. Just no. This song doesn't work without the true pain and screams in the voice. Very weak.

  • i cant tell which is better. theyre both so awesome

  • Nirvanas version is much better, but this is very modern sounding

  • Que falta de respeto a nirvana, maten a slash y toda esa manga de navos

  • NAO FICO NADA BOM...RESPEITA A LENDA BANDO DE AMADORES :@

  • Comment removed

  • Kurt would be proud

  • fucking brilliant XD!!!!!

  • I Personally don't listen to Nirvana that much! I listen more Gn'R, STP, and others.. but this a good Cover Scott Weiland does it Again!!! Anyways OF COURSE NIRVANA SOUNDS BETTER THEIR THE ORIGINAL!!!

  • @FlickOfTheSwitch83 Shut the fuck up you dumbfuck. -.- You know nothing.

  • @bloodydjole No... this is seriously the worst piece of shit I've ever heard. They shat on a great song here.

  • @FlickOfTheSwitch83 Nirvana and Velvet Revoler were friendy bands.

  • @bloodydjole Velvet Revolver didn't even exist until 9 years after Kurt's death.

  • @FlickOfTheSwitch83 Than I read it wrong. >_>

  • is there like an album full of covers done by velvet revolver?

  • I love nirvana, i hate gnr, (mainly because i saw them at reading fest 2010 and axl was an hour late and really shit, plus the feuds in the 90's) but in all honestly this is a fucking good cover. Why do people hate it?

  • @samsharpeye these guys have nothing to do with gnr anymore

  • This song was really good until the dumb sound effects at the end- the opposite of Nirvana's pure punk/raw approach.

  • With Weiland being a former grunge singer this cover plus VR this cover is just brilliant

  • good version I always liked Scott weiland since when he was from Stone temple pilots sometimes he seems like a grunge guy

  • scott covering kurt? holy shitt....!

  • NIRVANA far better then them ! good try to play their song but never the same

  • didnt axl hate kurt, what a fucking hypocrite

  • @AcousticLauson axl isn't in velvet revolver......it's Scott weiland from stp singing.....

  • sounds good!

  • cool tribute.

  • totally sucks, 1/10 the passion of nirvana

  • Nirvana is Better....

  • The way nirvana play'd it was right, this is fcking lame

  • they cleaned the song :(

  • scott weiland pegate un tiro

  • this is a good version, but the original is definitely better

  • This is cool, but, The original is better by far

  • Kurt Cobain te amo xD!

  • terrific

  • I was a rock singer living in Seattle when "Bleach" came out. It's one of my fave records, and "Negative Creep" is my fave song on the disc. Many years later I was looking for lyrics and came up with lots of attributions to VR, who I have never even heard of exceot in reference to this song.

Silly, me, I asumed that meant the attributions were correct.

Hello?! I stand corrected. Kurt wrote it and NR did a passable cover.

    Good enough?

  • nirvana play very good

  • Yeah, the Nirvana version is infinitely superior.

  • yeah ok

  • Velvet Revolver did the song first. Nirvana covered it.

  • @NoizyInSeattle Fucking idiot --'

  • @NoizyInSeattle Keep trollin.

  • @NoizyInSeattle You know why this comment is retarded? Velvet Revolver formed in 2002 and Kurt Cobain died in 1994 so how could nirvana cover this?

  • Pretty cool, but no one can cover a nirvana song and even come close to being as goo as the original.

  • impressive but cant beat the original

  • ohh look , kurt was rigth ...IN BLOOM ¡¡¡¡ assholes jojoojo

  • when slash was in gar there was NO WAY this could even exist (lol axl is a douche)

  • dude scott weiland can do anything just listen to him doing angry chair with alice in chains and break on through with the doors

  • This is a disgrace.

  • @supermanaise cool story bro

  • good cove, but nirvana rules:d

  • hmmm its interesting but it sucks sorry

  • Velvet Revolver couldn't rock their way out of a paper bag. This blows hot vomit chunks compared to the original.

  • not bad at all..but krist does the bass guitar much much better..

  • wow, nirvana is my favorite band, but i think this version is better

  • I absolutely love this. Not for the quality of the cover, but just the fact that ex GNR members are playing Nirvana songs. They all thought he was brilliant except for Axl. Axl should just go face the corner with a dunce hat on that says pathetic.

  • @akiyer08 WRONG!

Not an Axl fan, but as a big Nirvana fan it was Kurt who started the shit with Axl. Axl was a fan of Nirvana at first. Kurt didn't like Axl so he started talking shit about him in interviews and thats when the whole feud started. So yeah, Axl was a Nirvana fan and even wanted to tour with them at one point, but Kurt was the douchebag in that situation.

  • @lxa9466 Well Cobain thought that Axl was a jackass, and an egotistical maniac, and I am a big Guns N Roses, and Nirvana fan, but Cobain has a point there. Many times Axl doesn't even want to be nice to his own fans, and acts like his fans should worship him at a concert for being in the presence of a god. Kurt just didn't want to pretend to like someone, and be friendly with somebody who he could not stand personality wise.

  • @DavidKinner @lxa9466 and that might be a reason why a bunch of people that used to be in gnr did a cover in tribute because they know that axl is a fucking moron what guns n' roses today is just a solo project by axl because he thinks he was the band and not the insturments now i do like axls vocals but the new gnr is not the same as it used to be because its not the same band thats exactly why kurt dident like him and its a prime example its because axl thinks hes a god

  • @akiyer08 Agree. Awesome props by Weiland, Slash & Co. to Nirvana. Especially since Weiland is a rather different vocalist compared to Cobain.

  • @akiyer08 but axl loved nirvana untill they had a quarrel with kurt

  • @akiyer08 Actually Axel did think Kurt was Brilliant and was a huge Nirvana fan, even dragging Slash to a Nirvana concert when Slash sid he didnt care for them. It was in deed Kurt (who I love) that talked shit about Axle and started the whole feud .

  • @nimaside They way I heard it Axle told Kurt to keep his wife on a leash and that was how it all began. Axle acts like a child It would not surprise me that Axle didn't have some shit to say to Kurt. Fuck he acted like an ass all the time. All his antics and showing up late and causing riots and shit.. Who the hell did/does he think he is... No wonder all the GNR members quit... Once Geffen took down the GNR posters and put up the Nirvana ones Axle had a fit and took it out on Kurt personally..

  • @lotscum That did happen, but years after what I'm talking about. Axle was a fan of nirvana when nirvana first got huge. Your story is just part of reminents of the beginning, so basically yes that did happen, but in know way did it start it all because this was at the music awards soo much later in time.

  • @akiyer08 That's wrong. Axl really liked Nirvana and said so in interviews until Kurt and Courtney took the piss out of him. That's when he started mouthing off about them.

  • @akiyer08 if it wasnt for axl there would have been no guns n roses, he wrote 90% of the songs and izzy did the rest, slash duff and adler just came up with some riffs

  • This is fucking retard.

  • funny how guns n roses ex members play kurt cobain's songs, kurt cobain truly hated guns n roses and was insulting them all fucking day long

  • @rsrecordbreaker love the comment this is shit to me.

  • Velvet Revolver playing Nirvana... Now i jst needa c a man eat his own head n ill have seen everything

  • Nice cover!!!!!!!!!!

  • pretty good cover but nirvanas from hawaii in 1992 live blows them all away check it out and crank it up loud !

  • @devastator226 of course it blows this away... its nirvana's song lol. they did this as a tribute to cobain, they all respected nirvana, axl was the only ass clown who ripped on them

  • pretty good cover but nirvans from hawaii in 1992 live blows them all away check it out and crank it up loud !

  • @MrSmellytramp he obviously loves this song plays it well kurt with all his problems resolved would prob just hi 5 slash and think damm i wrote a mother fucker of a song there! x

  • Original was obviously better.

  • I love Nirvana A LOT. I love Velvet Revolver. But he's saying "DIS IS SHIT SLASH SUX KURT RUUUUUULES".

  • @MrSmellytramp I fucking hate Nirvana fans like you.

  • @Ducklover80 before a arguement starts (Which I know it will) I ask you guys to not to start anything. Velvet Revolver fans like Velvet Revolver, Nirvana Fans Like Nirvana. They both sell good, so there's nowhere to argue about. Shut the Fuck up and listen to the song!

  • they added to many different riffs, theres really only two different riffs

  • its not as good as Nirvana's but it is still a good version

  • @alex243x Yeah!!!

  • I find it a little overdone.

  • dfaf

  • COOOOLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song doesn't suit VR's style

  • This is my favorite nirvana song. And i say HELL YEA. good cover.

  • it's a great cover made for very good reasons, Slash respects Nirvana and Kurt on another level and this was basicly done in tribute to his memory RIP Kurt and rock on Slash!!!!

  • okay, this is too "perfect", its' too spot on in the tempo, the sounds, you can hear each instrument and the vocals don't just completely drown the music out. it seems to me to be the kind of music put out by the commercial music industry. whereas the original nirvana version is none of that. it is enduring, maybe because of its imperfections and wreckless abandon. velvet here sounds too rehearsed. too .. produced.

  • @vutEwa Well said, Everything VR does sounds like something from a commercial or an elevator or a shopping mall. Fuck them, Cobain would puke on this, and it would sound better.

  • I remember seeing them perform this song live in San diego now that I think about it

  • not bad

  • @davyryckaert It's from the Nirvana album - Bleach (1989)

  • @davyryckaert shut up u idiot

  • @davyryckaert you gotta be kidding me...

  • @davyryckaert yes it is dumbass

  • @davyryckaert You are of course joking?

  • @davyryckaert It's from the Nirvana album "BLEACH" - 1989 - SUB POP 01-. Blew 02-. Floyd the barber 03-. About a girl 04-. School 05-. Love buzz 06-. Paper cuts 07-. Negative creep 08-. Scoff 09-. Swap meet 10-. Mr. Moustache 11-. Sifting 12-. Big cheese 13-. Downer
  • Comment removed

  • @davyryckaert wow dude ... epic fail

  • @davyryckaert you're comment was totally stupid..seems like you don't even know nirvana..

  • @davyryckaert you are the stupidest mother fucker to walk the face of the earth

  • @davyryckaert

    hahaha, dumbass

  • @davyryckaert who's song do you think it is then? weirdo

  • @davyryckaert Uhhh yeah it is you fucking retard, its negative creep off of bleach, Nirvanas debut album, even Wikipedia it if you want

I Really wanted to like this too 'cuz I kinda dig that horsey ride'n Weiland guy....

But Horsey ride'n Kurt would have shit a brick - smoked it - shit it another & commit merDER with it for this cheezfest!

(wish his headless ass would stroll zombie like to whatever dumpster Cortney's woking and off that cave slag for his ending his music):

  • fair effort
